I called them because I had an unusual situation. My brother had given me his outdoor dining set. It was a 7' stone table and 6 chairs. The table itself was well over 200 pounds. It was in South Orange County and we live in La Mirada. That was the only thing I needed to move. I called and left a message and they returned my call inside of 10 minutes. He said it was not a problem, and they needed a 3 man crew to handle it. They gave me an extremely reasonable price to do the job. I was particularly impressed with their handling of this very heavy table, especially since they had to maneuver it through a fairly narrow gate to my patio area. We hired Moober last minute for our big move and it turned out good. With only 2 days notice Moober was able to accommodate our big move and on a Sunday! We had a really big truck with 3 movers but somehow our things didn't fit. The movers were nice, personable and most importantly did not break any of our items. We've had movers before that accidentally damaged some of our items but not Moober. They were priced good and had good service. I had to move from Port Hueneme. California to Las Vegas. Naturally I called around checking prices and looking at Yelp. My daughter found Moober and spoke with someone there who, after of my circumstances, made a very good offer which we accepted. Eric and Marcus showed up promptly on moving day and were wonderful to work with. They were respectful and truly went out of their way for me. We all made it to Vegas in record time and another young man, Jonathan replaced Marcus who had to go on to another job. Jonathan was equally as helpful and very nice. Moober moving was fantastic!! Very sweet and kind hearted movers, they went above and beyond to get my move right. Took their time to wrap the furniture and carried everything up and down the two story complex in a timely manner. Yelp really needs to enable negative star reviews because this company deserves one. I found them on Thumbtack and hired them because #1 they had so many five star reviews and #2 they were available on the time and date I had requested. They confirmed the time the night before but still showed up forty-five minutes late. I then proceeded to give them a mediocre review on Thumbtack... not a negative review, just average. Well, someone from the company reached out to me and proceeded to argue with me over the review. I politely sent a screenshot of the conversation that confirmed the date and time, and he told me that he was just confirming the date, never the time. Wait? So let me get this straight... if you confirm just dates and never actual times, then what you are communicating is that I need to be available to move within a full 24 hour window. Who operates their business like that? After this conversation, I definitely wasn't going to change my review because of the argumentative nature and the ludicrous explanation. So I kept it up. And do you know what happened? I proceeded to be harassed again and again and again by this company asking me to remove or edit my review. Update in response to Moober Moving: I 100% stand by my review. As for my other Yelp reviews of other businesses, I do not have the time to write positive reviews for the hundreds and hundreds of business I have interacted with in the course of my lifetime. The Moober team was nice and worked really hard, but they either lack experience or were not prepared for the task. This has been one of the most frustrating experiences we've had moving. This was our 3rd time hiring a moving company and Moober having the highest rates from all the companies we heard from Thumbtack, we expected the service to be great - note their original quote was about double what we got from other service providers, once we expressed that the price was too high, they offered a discount to use recycled packaging materials, which sounded great; their quote was still the most expensive but they had good reviews, so we went ahead with them. We were moving out of a 2br townhouse, we had some boxes/storage bins in the garage and planters and patio furniture in the balcony. I reached out before the move to ask if an inspection/inventory would be done, I was reassured I had nothing to worry about since they'd come prepared to move a 3-4 bd house. And to be honest the size of the truck was more than sufficient had things been packed properly. I'll elaborate on that! But mid-afternoon, I noticed that the truck was filling up and brought it up to their attention and again I was reassured that there should be no issues, that things would be rearranged. A couple of hours later I was being asked which planters/plants to leave behind, and to load my car more, which I had already loaded with more delicate items (computers, monitors,etc)... they rearranged my car and jammed even some plants in it- at some point I had to bring up that it was nighttime and I wasn't comfortable driving with the rear view mirror blocked! And yes, you read that right- planters went in my car- when they asked which 'one' to leave behind, I chose one then while loading I was told another one couldn't make it & after they left I found our dwarf lemon tree in the bushes and another small planter by the dumpster (the clay ones from Home Depot, not the plastic ones). This was also the first time movers did not bring any protective materials to cover carpet, floors, etc. when they left both places were a mess! There was no sense of organization- you'd expect to pack a room, be done with it and move on to the next one- not the case here- for example the guess bedroom was "done" and I found all my shirts in the closet- pants and dresses were packed, but shirts were still in the hangers. The master bathroom was packed (and by 'packed' I mean everything was thrown inside a box- yes, things leaked) yet I found the mirror cabinet untouched, so I packed it. Same thing about the half bathroom downstairs- I packed it as they were 'rearranging' things in the truck when they realized 'things were not going to fit'... then they were done and in the truck about to leave, no inspection/walk-through- I went back to clean up a bit and found the coat closet full. I rushed down to tell them that the closet was full; they went back in, and as I continued checking things upstairs, they took those items down, when I went downstairs I found them cramming them in my already full car. And this took all day- they arrived 9:40am and didn't leave until past 8pm, we got to our new place around 10:30pm on a Saturday night and they left almost at 2am! I felt horrible for the new neighbors! The unloading wasn't smooth either, lots of items were just left in our garage, which we have been taking inside little by little- the only positive side of that is that most items needed to be cleaned before put away since the packing was so poorly done things leaked; 2 weeks later there are several things that we just have no clue where they might be. I'll share some pictures, but here are some examples of what I mean by poor packing: groceries from the pantry were packed in our reusable grocery bags, boxes were filled up to the top, using the lids as extensions, so they were not closed, but wrapped in plastic and then sort of stacked. The kitchen items that were not glass, were jammed into a boxes, not organized, no paper to protect from scratches, or spills, -yes, I had to clean flour from bags that broke, oil and vinegar that leaked... There was no logic on what got thrown in the same bag/box. That packing style and the boxes unloaded in the garage and not even by content, and of course no labels, has made the unpacking really hard- i found the box with the bathroom items under two storage bins in the garage (1 with car equipment and another one with music instruments that were stored in the garage before); the only box that was taken to my office was marked "home office" but once I opened it, it had the blended, coffee maker, coffee grinder, food processor... At this point I'm surprised that we don't have as much damage, scratches, dents and spillages! I have to paint off scratches on some furniture, specially the patio table read more

The cost was as advertised. They were cordial and on time and for the most part did a fairly good job of taking care of our goods. There was some damage to some lampshades. One of which they pointed out but the other was not mentioned, and we discovered it After they departed. read more
