I arrived at this place through a quick google search. I was in the mood for Korean BBQ and in Gardena so the visit was produced by convenience and chance. And, although, I found this place to be good, in the sea of Korean BBQ places this place remains just good, maybe standard, and does not stand head and shoulders above the rest. But I do not mean that as an insult, and if one has perspective this can be praise. For instance, take a ninja. He might not be the ninja that is destined to wheel the throwing stars of destiny, but he still had a stedy career within a vast ninja army. Moreover, being able to steadily continue amongst many might not earn you gold stars on your forehead, but at least it keeps one going on their path till they are ready put their sword and nunchucks down. In other words, there is nothing wrong with being good on average because not all people can climb a mountain in a mythic way, some people climb the mountain through their own speed and step, and never give up, they just stay on their path of good. My partner in bite and I stuck to only three meats--- the chicken, the brisket and the pork belly. And all of these bites were solid but the pork belly was a standout bite. To say that the pork belly was yummy! would be an understatement, for the pork belly was yummy!!!I. I took the brsket, their cabbage salad, a brown sauce that was sweet, and chicken and rice and mixed it in the cabbage salad bowl. All the flavors working together was what made the food spectacular, it had become an ensemble that carried the meal. Truly, the sum of the parts made the whole a flavor blast. In contrast, my dining buddy took a spoon put rice on top, then the brisket on top, then dunk the spoon into a small dish with the brown sweet sauce then deposited the full spoon into his mouth. He assembled each spoonful. I note this to remind all of us that there is no wrong way to eat because I mixed, he assembled, someone else might construct while another might create using the spoon as a brush and the sauce to stroke across a plate. This place did have some practices that were all of its own. My favorite was the water kettle that was brought and poured into the fire to quell its flames. It felt ceremonial, like the kings of the past saw these kettles used when their fire flames needed to be extinguished when they were done with the meal. I also never had a korean noodle soup as part of a korean bbq experience. It kind of tasted like chicken noodle soup more than a korean soup. Some of the small side dishes include radish, and rice paper. Imagine small tortillas. One can use them to make small "tacos" with meat, and vegetables. I just used a lazy explanation to describe the Korean papers and their purpose. It kind of broke the spell of the Korean dining experience. But I went with the words that the server used to explain the papers as well. And there is no clearer way to explain the use of the small circular rice paper wraps than to say one will assemble small Korean tacos with them. There was also potato salad, Kimchee, and other flavor builders. For me it is always fun to construct and enhance my plates with the use of all available to me. And when eating Korean bbq the possibilities are maybe endless. The service was engaging and attentive. Our grill got changed maybe like four times, and there was the kettle that was used to lessen the fire. I did clip a video of the fire ablaze. The fire was high- for a korean bbq grill- and it was tall probably taller than I have ever seen at a Korean place. So this place this offer me that. My partner in grill, noted that the place does not offer us to take meats home. And that they might charge for uneaten food. He worried that we were going be charged at the end for not eating all our meat but we did not leave a lot behind. We just left enough for it to be known as the standard amount that one leaves behind when one engages on AYCE Korean BBQ experience. read more

This Korean bbq spot is small, has limited seating, and doesn't have much ventilation. Those are about the only 3 bad things I can say about it. Now for the good things which there is a lot: The meat is great. I've noticed that the more popular Korean bbq spots like Gen or 92 in Torrance don't have good meat. This place 100% does. It tastes fresh. As for sides, you get kimchi, white rice, and a couple other things but there's also cilantro & onion mixed together which I thought was different. You get a salad and the assortment of sauce they provide was delicious. Their beer selection is mid but they offer soju too. I'm not very picky with beer. I enjoyed cass with my dinner. The brisket was great and if you like beef bulgogi, you would select their sirloin which is the same. The workers are incredibly friendly. They will change your grill, help put your food on the grill for you, clear out your table, etc etc. They all are very attentive. The tables are circular which is odd and then there's one big table in the back which is kind of in its own little room. I also tried the red pepper stew, which I wouldn't get again. It was similar to tofu soup, but had a sweet taste. Their steamed egg was tasty. However, I didn't care for their dipping sauces. This is one of those hole in the wall spots that people must try. The food is bomb, the staff are kind and fast, and the ambiance transports you into a kdrama lol (only bc I've never been to Korea). The seating are round tables with a wired grill in the middle and stools to sit on. The meats are marinaded perfectly. The ban Chan are seasoned perfectly. And the complimentary noodle with soup was the best appetizer ever. I should've asked if I could order more. I genuinely enjoyed eating here. I'll definitely be back soon and you should try it too. Been coming here for years with my husband and every time we go we're never disappointed. The service is always friendly and quick to help or order anything you need. The dining area is a bit cramped so get cozy with your neighbor. It also gets pretty loud in here with all the conversation and music going, that said the atmosphere is immaculate everyone's happy to be there and eating yummy food. We booked here because they actually take reservations for groups over 5 people -- most Korean BBQ places only accept reservations for 10+, so this was a huge plus. Anywho... the parking is cramp, and can get busy fast, choose your spot wisely as you may get blocked in. This place filled up quick so I would come right when they open to avoid a wait. The staff were friendly, all smiles here. The place itself feels cramped inside as well and I'm not sure how to feel about the round tables, there was only 2 of us and it got full fast with the ban chans and meat plates. Now as for the food, it was pretty good, we went with option A which had a lot of meats to choose from. Nothing really stood out though, and for me, what makes Kbbq really hit is how a place makes their brisket sauce, and the one here didn't really do it for me. More on the sweet and thicker side. This was hands down the worst all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ experience I've ever had. Their cost-cutting tactics are obvious and ruin the meal. You're limited on how often you can order the same item, the meat is sliced so thin it burns almost instantly, and they seem more focused on preventing customers from getting their money's worth than actually providing a good dining experience. The service was just as bad. Servers ignored multiple requests, making it a struggle just to get more food. They even rushed us to pay before our two-hour limit was up as if they couldn't wait to clear the table and move on. At $35 per person, the quality and service don't come close to justifying the price. Honestly, I'd rather spend an extra $10 at Gen KBBQ. But other than that there was a server with short brown hair that attended us very well she was very kind and nice and was patient on how me and my boyfriend handled the stove . I think they may have a few booths but don't recall. They charge $36 per adult and children after 6 years old. The manager although charged us half price for our 6 year old because she barely ate, so that was nice. They were very friendly and attentive. You have to ask them for more sides (rice paper, brisket sauce etc.) They don't have cucumbers nor do they have sesame oil (it wasn't served). The place was dim and tight. But still a good space between tables. We had a high chair that was sort of in the way at times. So have that in mind if you're bringing a baby. Food itself was tasty. Hits the spot in the way that you're hoping it to. Living in NYC (Manhattan) tons of the kbbq places are overpriced and unnecessarily fancy. Homestyle kbbq can be found in Queens, but for some reason NYC kbbq lacks the radish/rice paper that seems to be standard on the west coast. The noodles they gave us at the beginning were a nice way to enter the meal. The meat which we got mostly pork and beef, were all yummy and what we expected. I believe this is the original Moon. There's another Moon #2 that's several blocks down on the same street. I believe they have affiliation. Anywho..parking for this location is pretty easy. Inside, however, is pretty small so if you're thinking about going with a large group you might wanna reconsider. They have two options from the menu to choose from A and B. They have a pretty nice selection in the A option but just a few more "add-ons" for the B options you're pretty good with just A. Their meat is very tasty and the quality is good. Our favorite was the chopped beef sirloin and the beef brisket. The service was good no complaints there. I will say their grills are very different. They're like the fishnet grills which is aesthetically pleasing but when cooking the meat was difficult to grab because I kept grabbing the grill by accident. Overall we had a good experience but I don't know if we'll go back just cause there's so many other places to try but this place was decent. read more

They work as a team and will routinely check in to ensure you have everything that you need. When you are ready to order more things, there never a member of their staff more than 10 feet away. Additionally, they are constantly switching out the grill at your table, so your cooking space is always clean and not smokey. The offer your typical selection of AYCE items, such as brisket, pork belly, beef belly, short rib, chicken and a whole host of other things that I don't really eat. The quality of the food is ok. It's not super high quality, but for an AYCE KBBQ, it's ok. Their basic KBBQ runs $33.99 per person and the price goes up from there to $39.99, which includes more options.
