Possibly one of the best kbbq I've been to. Meat selection's great for the price, staff are quite nice and attentive, and the grill, I love grill they use compared to the other kbbq places. Definitely visit this place when you're in the area. Addendum: people complaining about the seats are funny. Seriously? You would choose seats over service and quality of meats? read more

FOOD: 5 STARS SERVICE: 2 STARS I went to Moon BBQ on Valentine's Day evening, but before arriving I called to ask how long the wait would be. The man who answered told me that there was no wait, so my boyfriend and I decided to head over. We arrived, and there were about 5 groups of people waiting to be seated. I was a bit thrown off because the man on the phone told me that there was no wait when I had called 15 minutes prior to arriving. I just let it go since it was Valentine's Day evening and there was bound to be a wait anywhere we decided to go. Anyways, I put my name on the wait list, and the host told me 10-15 minutes... There were absolutely no open tables and the 5 groups ahead of us still. I understand that they want business, but pleaseeee do not tell people that there is a short wait time if there are clearly no tables opening up soon. A couple who were also waiting besides us told me that they also had called and been told there was no wait either, LOL. We were all bamboozled. The waiter who seated us was very friendly, but unfortunately we only had one encounter with him (when he took our drink order). We had a hard time getting the attention of any waiter to order more meat the entire night. Every time we ordered it was from which ever waiter's attention I could get. I noticed the table next to us getting rounds of meat, and it seemed like no one was checking on us unless I made the effort of flagging them down. They have a kimchi noodle soup that they serve as an appetizer that was really tasty. They have a good selection of meat to choose from and pricing is average for a KBBQ place. The seats are small stools, and table space is limited so it does not seem like a fitting place for a tall person or a family with small kids. read more

If you want a quick and efficient way to scratch that K BBQ itch then this is your go-to joint. Reasonable prices and great, great service. It's one of those no-fuss K BBQ places where servers are fast and friendly while you get a bang for your buck. Very few K BBQ joints in LA serve pork skin and theirs is the spicy variation. read more

Nothing in South Bay really is better than anything in K-Town. This place is no exception. With that said, it isn't bad but only okay. I'm giving it an extra star because of the service, which Parking lot is tiny, probably 5 cars. The restaurant is also tiny so not a place for big groups. There may be a room for a big group as I saw someone post a picture of it but I didn't see it myself. The grills are the circular ones about 14 inches. The tables were small. The tables barely fit any food. It was barely big enough for the grill, your plate and dipping sauce, and some side dishes. The table was low too. Felt like I was at a fire pit at the beach, which I guess creates the Korean BBQ atmosphere. So not bad for night out with a friend or two, but not a big group and kids. The meat selection was decent. We mostly had the bulgogi and brisket. The side dishes were okay. It wasn't amazing. The service, as mentioned earlier, was good. The staff was responsive and quick, which helped with the rating. read more

This was the first restaurant I've been to since covid started and I felt safe. They were deep cleaning after each group left. The food and portions were great. First time trying Korean BBQ. I would recommend everything but the intestines. There was 22 items on option A menu, we try 16 of them. After that were totally stuffed. Small tables, chairs were extremely small and uncomfortable. If you need a back on a chair like I prefer, don't come here. Good Food, quick service delivering the meat. The spicy pork belly was spicy.. the beef belly, was tenter,, marinated beef short rip was delicious! The beef brisket seems to be the most popular and the blazing chicken was spicy as well. They are a little slow with some of the sides but overall it was a great experience. I would recommend getting here before 7pm or you will be waiting. read more

I work in Torrance and we had our year-end corporate dinner at Moon BBQ. We chose Ayce kbbq for all of us to enjoy a variety of meat and drinks. However, this restaurant went above and beyond in service to our crew who are new to KBBQ. The meat is fresh and delicious and has over 20 choices. But what makes this location unique is the grill. It has the burn pit around the edge below the grill not like the typical round grills which makes the meat grill evenly and in time to choose if you want it a bit rare. I'll definitely be back. While their menu selection isn't that big - what really separates Moon BBQ in comparison to other BBQ is the type of grill that they use. The downside of the grill is that its REALLY REALLY small - so all the meats takes longer to grill. But the plus side - is that because they use the netting as opposed to a solid slab of metal - the meats get a really good char. read more

Kind of cool street vibe but not the most comfortable seats and table top is quite small. Food was good, lots of variety but missed some dipping sauce from my other Korean AYCE place. They were packed and owner actually asked us to wrap it up and leave which was pretty rude. Had wanted to try, glad I did so I know first hand, but no real need to go back. read more

First time here tonight and I wasn't really impressed. I liked the round metal tables, but it felt cramped coz there's not much space for anything else other than the side dishes. There's no space to put the meat on the table either so they limit you to two orders at a time. I was a little disappointed with the sauce choices, but maybe it was just not my taste. The meat were so-so - I've had better. The grill was changed frequently, which was nice and the staff were pretty much attentive. Towards the end, we felt like we were being rushed. Parking has few stalls, but street parking is also available. read more

Quaint Korean BBQ spot that is always busy. Expect a wait during typical peak hours. They offer the usual assortment of sides to eat with your BBQ. Menu is easy to understand where it's option a or b for ayce. Service is quick as they try to turn around tables for the next, but it's actually preferable as they keep the meat coming. Always leaving here stuffed and happy, very well worth it for the $$. read more

I love moon since the first time I tryed it!! I been going to moon for over 4 years now it my go to kbbq! The staff have become really good friend they treat me and my family amazing always! I feel so important when I come dine! Sue the owner is so sweet and kind she always so helpful so attentive to everything! I highly recommend moons!! The best brisket I try. Finally got to try this place for dinner last night after driving pass here all the time. We really enjoyed the food here. We did the $22/AYCE, and our faves were the sirloin, short rib, and brisket. We also tried the tenderloin, which we thought was kind of bland. The blazing chicken was tasty. Surprisingly, there was no bulgogi on the menu, and bulgogi is my fave! I was impressed by the meat quality. There were several banchan on the table, but not as much variety as other places. They had rice paper, radish paper, pickled radish, kimchi, potato salad, and some onions/cilantro. We asked for a salad, and got a shredded cabbage salad that complimented the meat well. The steamed egg was fluffy and delicious. We also tried the hot kim chi noodle, which is a noodle soup. The soy bean stew was also tasty. I also liked the sauces. Service was good, they kept coming by asking if we wanted more food, and almost looked disappointed when we said we were all done. You can get one bottle of beer with check-in per table. They have pitchers of soju. The only thing I did not like was how small the tables are. They left almost no counter space between the grill and the rest of the table. I did really like the grill, which allows for all the fat to drip on the bottom. Definitely plan to come back here next time I'm craving for kbbq. read more

1. First time here I noticed how strange they provide stools and not chairs. Looks cool until you've been sitting for an hour and your back feels like crap. 2. Servers were accommodating and cheerful but messed up on our order quite a few times and seemed to be stingy on water. 3. Which brings it to this point. Why are you stingy on water? They gave us a carafe with two glorified shot glasses to drink out of. Just bring me a damn normal sized cup. 4. They didn't have bulgogi, a cardinal sin in my mind, but the options were very delicious. Pork belly, intestine and chopped beef were all nice. The marinated short rib was a WINNNER!!! 5. Wrong service, weird seating and ok meat =/= $23.99. Will likely not come back. read more

I was in the city a few days ago with some of my college friends and wanted to eat somewhere with good food and fun ambience. so so glad we chose to come to Moon bbq. the workers were very welcoming as soon as we stepped in through the door, and were quick to take our order and serve us. their side dishes were delicious, and we were so full and satisfied by the end our meal. it was such a great way to end our night in this delicious, neat, and welcoming restaurant. it's become one of my friends and I's favorite k bbq spots! read more

It is kind of on the pricier side of kbbq spots, but still delicious. My biggest complaint however, and probably the biggest reason for why I prefer furusato, is the seating. The stools get so uncomfortable after about half an hour. It is also small so it isn't good if you are claustrophobic. I'm big on comfort, and that isn't their greatest feature. Also, one time one of the workers was going to show us a cool onion trick on the grill and then one of the owners or manager came and kind of got mad because she thought we had done it until he told her it was him and he got in trouble. So that kind of ruined my experience here too. If you like to cook your own meat like me, don't come here. They always try to do it for you and don't even consider how you like it. read more

Nothing spectacular, but with the limited krn BBQ locations around here I can see why people come here, it's all you can eat for about $22, not too bad, the meat quality is decent but my biggest complaint is the dipping sauces, they are not your typical ones you get at kRN BBQ the sesame oil with salt one almost had no salt so i just felt like I was dipping my meat in sesame oil only :( service was not bad though, they are pretty attentive and bring you your food quick. I would try again if they had some better sauces read more

Came to Moon BBQ to treat a friend and was pleasantly surprised. The small restaurant had every table occupied but the wait wasn't long because as soon as a table got up it was cleaned and ready for the next group! Banchan- nice selection of banchan and don't be afraid to ask for more. Kimchi that actually tastes good?? No complaints here. Tip: grill kimchi :-) BBQ- nice selection of meats ! Tip: try Pork Skin! Sucks that you can only order 2 meats at a time. Sauces- a lil weak. Comes with salt, terriyaki, and hot sauce. Alc- the soju is a little pricey but who doesn't love a good Yogurt Soju? Service- Amazing! They were all extremely friendly and attentive. The ahjummahs were so nice and cute I had to take a picture with them. I would come back just because I know they genuinely care about their customers and want them to have a great experience. read more

A male Asian employee behind the sushi counter dropped an entire tray of toasted garlic bread onto the floor. It was loud enough that everyone nearby turned to look. At that point, any reasonable person would expect the food to be thrown away. Instead, he picked every piece up off the floor and put it right back on the tray. It gets worse. Another employee (a woman wearing a pink North Face shirt) then took that same tray and placed the bread out on the buffet line for customers to eat. This is completely unsanitary and a serious violation of basic food safety standards. Food that has been on the floor is contaminated with bacteria, dirt, and who knows what else. Serving it to customers is not only disgusting, it's a health risk. Management and the owner need to review the cameras during this time and address this immediately. This level of negligence is unacceptable. We were shocked, disgusted, and will absolutely not be returning.

I've continually told them My ranking is #1 Buffet at the top, followed by Ichiban, then China Buffet dipped as the lesser of the 3 ever since they stopped offering roast duck and snow crab legs (which had been over a decade ago) at their buffet. So, #1 Buffet has earned my favorite status based on price, selection and quality but factoring in parking and location too.

However, the selection of dishes wasn't huge, and the soups didn't look too good. -- I focused on the sushi and was satisfied. They had different type simple rolls and nigiri, with soy sauce at each table. They also had a bottle of eel sauce to douse your rolls with more, if you want. Towards the end, discovered a New Zealand green mussel dish in a hot chili sauce, which I took full advantage of. -- the must get is the Mongolian Grill, which dominates the center of the restaurant. There were three types of sliced frozen meat (beef, chicken, pork), a variety of vegetables (including my favorite, baby corn), and various runny sauces that you pour on top when done. Once your bowl is complete, you need to give it to the operator. But here its a bit different: it operates on a unique system that I've only seen here. In the front counter, there are 20 spots where numbered pager sits. Once a person fills up a bowl with raw ingredients, they place it on the next available pager spot, taking the pager with them. Once the food is cooked, the pager goes off. You then exchange the bowl in your spot, with the pager...and the cycle continues. I asked myself what would happen if all 20 pagers were taken, and decided if that happened, you would have to wait since there would be no more space on the grill for your plate anyway. The system worked really well, with all three of us taking advantage of it. Taste wise, I've had better but certainly not for that price. And I just love the efficiency of it all. -- soft serve ice cream was available, and it was very thick and creamy (though a bit off in taste). My wife also mentioned that you can get cotton candy as well. -- Service was good, with an employee in a hostess outfit personally letting us know that she was there to assist us, including getting drinks. She did clear dishes when necessary, but also seemed to be supervising our section. What's interesting is that the same report mentioned King Buffet in Garden Grove, which now seems to be another branch of the Paradise chain. So need to be leery of such reports not being current...but in this case, following its suggestion paid off.
