We transferred our son from the KinderCare across the street to Goddard because we weren't thrilled…read moreabout the 1 year old room at KinderCare (our infant room experience at Kindercare was very positive). Although nervous about the transition of our then 1 year old son to a new daycare, I couldn't be more happy and satisfied with our experience at Goddard. The staff is friendly, caring and professional. The owner is very helpful and takes the time to get to know the kids. We noticed a few weeks in that are son was doing much better here then at the previous daycare. The owner and staff seems to genuinely care and be concerned about the well-being of the kids. Only after placing him at Goddard did I realize they have an educational criteria which is a bonus in my opinion. My only "warning" is that they have more days that they are closed then KinderCare. They are closed for a week during Christmas and have few other days that are closed which aren't always days off at most companies. It's run more like a school. Luckily my husband has flexibility with his schedule so we manage. But the quality of care and facilities is worth this occasional inconvenience. Also you have to pack/provide lunch for your child where as at KinderCare they provided the meals. Goddard provides the am and pm snack. Now that I'm used to packing our son's lunch this difference is a non-issue.

Don't ignore the negative reviews. Take time to notice the Google reviews from recent are not good…read more I first toured this place a year ago & it was different than that it is now. My daughter had her first day at THIS facility March 19th. The day prior they had 4 call offs within this small facility & asked parents to volunteer, which made me feel uneasy. You might have your child's teacher watching them or you may have a stranger you never met caring for your child. She became sick from her first day and this is not her first time in an environment like this or around other kids. When I went to pick her up, the room smelled terrible. There are windows in the hallway outside each classroom & as I'm walking down the hall way, I see this child getting toileted in the middle of the classroom in plain sight & all the other kids running around. For dignity, they place a large outdoor garbage can next to your child on the potty & dispose of the diapers in that same garbage can. Disgusting. I also witnessed that they do not wipe down the surfaces after changing your child from one to another... no wonder she got sick that fast. I had to bathe her as soon as we got home because of the facilities foul odor in her hair & on her clothes. Tuition for 2 days/week is $122/day. Even if your child doesn't attend you still have to pay. There is a review from 5 months ago that mentions if they have to shut down the facility due to their lack of ability to keep a staffed facility they will discount your child's tuition a whopping $10 for the day due to the inconvenience. I didn't want to send my daughter today because she is sick due to being at their facility for ONE day & I still have to pay for 2 weeks even though I unenrolled her. If you want comparable care for your child just drop your child off at a local Chuck E. Cheese... it may even be cleaner and at least there will be privacy when they have to use the bathroom.

I highly advise not hiring elite nannies for your childcare needs. They have a cute website (…read morehttp://www.elite-nannies.com/index.html) and seem to be a legitimate business but my experience has been that Elite Nannies is nothing else than a one woman show (Cheryl). That's not however the major problem with elite nannies. The reason I'm writing this review is because Cheryl after watching over my daughter for 2 days while I had an important business engagement in the Pittsburgh area, scared the s...t out of me when she mentioned "jokingly" that she "could have kidnapped her" that is my daughter. She also mentioned that she could have taken my daughter to "her house to see her son"...God forbid what she means by that. Why you ask would she state something so stupid and evil? She was trying to strong arm me into paying her a large tip after she inflated the cost for her service ($ 17 an hour, plus a $ 78 company fee and since she is the business then it's her money, plus valet parking fee at my hotel)...She also ordered herself dinner from my hotel room...Just for the record, I paid all of the above, but she managed to inflate the total cost by $50 dollars and that's when I got my calculator and set it straight... She also strikes me as a compulsive liar who suffers from delusion of grandeur. No mother should have to go through the anxiety and horror of hearing a "nanny" state that they could have kidnapped your kid...If you are like me, your child is your most precious possession in this world and the basic requirement of nannies is to be gentle and trustworthy. p.s. I will add that she did take my daughter around town to the museum and gave her a good time. But my last exchange with her negates all of that: those were words that should never have come out of her mouth or anyone's mouth.
