We popped in late afternoon and they were quite busy. They quickly seated us and we each ordered a primi and a secondi. The food arrived quickly. The veal with tuna was unique. I was expecting thicker pieces of veal. Overall, a nice appetizer. The chicken bites were way more substantial and each bite of chicken, eggplant and tomato really held its own in the dish. The pastas were each made so well and we were blown away. The seafood sauce with shrimp and squid ink pasta was out of this world and my SO's pasta topped with bacon was phenomenol. We were looking for good Milanese food and found it here. There was no molecular gastronomy or deconstructed dishes- just great food in a great setting. The staff were lovely and attentive. We were started off with a complimentary glass of prosecco. We shared an order of the salame with fried cheese to start. It was excellent. We split two pastas- the spaghetti with pesto sauce and the excellent rigatoni with eggplant and cheese. We loved our main courses. My buddy and I enjoyed our veal Milanese (which is served without salad on top in Milan, more like Italian wiener schnitzel or tonkatsu). This was good but I would steer rather towards the seafood next time which looked great, except perhaps the lobster which I know is flown in daily from New York (a large shipment was on my outgoing flight) and has to have suffered some stress. They also attire the hapless lobster diner in a bib that looks like a clown's tuxedo. Had to indulge in the gelati (strawberry and chocolate) for dessert.
