Private dock right in front of the cabin is really nice. Best of all are the hosts Chris and Tracey. I've been around and these two are the greatest friendliest hosts I've ever dealt with. Really nothing is too much trouble. The surrounding area and water are beautiful. Fish won't jump into your boat but they are there. I will definatley return. The cottage has all dishes and cookware and linens available for your stay. The only down side is no WiFi or cell phone service so prepare to disconnect from your devices.

We went out on the lake in a canoe and watched a dog swim across the lake, which I didnt think was possible. There is a little diner in Port Loring that you can walk to, which serves Newfie Steak. The surrounding area is very wild and we didn't feel comfortable venturing into it.

Mr Copeman demanded payment in cash before we could go in the cottage. He also demanded a $100…read moredamage deposit. He stole this money from my sister who had the cottage next to ours because he said that there was dog pee on the rug, which there was not. He probably deducts expenses from his taxes while at the same time keeping damage deposits. He was at the door at the very second of check out, in fact a few minutes before and rushed us out of the cottage. The cottage advertises a fireplace and when he brought us into the cottage he said "you can't use the fireplace". What a nerve to put it in the advertisement. Be warned if you rent from this man.
