Poor customer service. Rented from them and the carpet was unexplainably wet throughout the apartment. Since they couldn't figure out what the issue was they accused my boyfriend and me of pouring water in the carpet. There was also mold in the apartment but the property manager,Connie Ackiss, refused to let us out of our lease. She was very rude and ugly to me every time I came in the office. After months of complaining, they finally let us out our lease but have refused to rent to us again. They have the apartment we're in advertised on their website even though there is mold and an unexplained leak. The apartments are not too bad honestly. They are pretty reasonable. My issue is the staff. When I walk into the office or call, the staff are not pleasant. You want to feel welcomed and like you matter. The staff act as if though they're annoyed with you and God forbid if you have an issue with an apartment. They look at you as if it's your fault the problem exists. I pray that they get better staffing or give them a customer service 101 class. read more

In 2018 of August my son needed a place to stay because he was a student at Claflin . He had a friend already staying in Moore Apartment and needed roommate. We were under the impression that we had agree to sign a 1 year lease. The rental office lead my husband and son to believed that we were only signing a 1 year lease and at the end of the year we only had to give a 30 day notice and leave the apartment in the condition that we found it and he would get his deposit back. My son actually moved out in May 2019 but continued to pay the rent until August 2019 and had given his 30 day. He followed up with the rent office before Aug 2019 and to confirm about his 30 day notice and they confirm again that all he had to do is give his 30 day notice. When he inquired about his deposit they then sent him an email that had nothing to do with his lease stating that my son roommate would have to pay my son deposit in order for him to receive his deposit, yet the deposit is base on your credit, and mind you his roommate had already given his deposit the year before when he moved in before my son did. Moore Company Rentals is an horrible establishment and is truly taking advantage of the students and parents that are seeking a place for their students to reside while seeking a college education. Each time I call the office in reference for my son deposit I would get the run around. My son recently received an email from property manager that stated that he chose to move out and she did not know what he was told but that he could not received his deposit unless someone else took his room or the apartment vacates. So in other words if his roommates stays for another 5 years my son would be liable for any damages that his roommate indulges in even though he does not live there anymore. Unbelievable, so parent and students steer away from Moore Rental property because they makeup rules take advantage of students and their parents. This experience dealing with Moore company Rental has been a total nightmare and they should be totally ashamed of themselves for taking advantaged of people who are trying to get their love ones an education.
