Pool leaks are scary so I did lots of research before contacting Moore. When they arrived I was very impressed. They narrowed in on the skimmer, but tested every other system to make sure there weren't other issues. They ended up cutting out the old skimmer and replacing it and a square of deck above it. Last summer I had Moore Leaks come to check a possible leak in my pool. It was easy to schedule an appointment and John came out to do an inspection. He was able to identify a leak coming from a cracked skimmer. He completed a patch job in which he informed me it would only get me through that summer and recommended I have a new skimmer installed. I never felt any pressure from him to do the work. His patch job lasted well past the summer. Fast forward to April of this year I contacted them again now to give me a quote to replace the skimmer, auto-fill and resurface the plaster as my pool is about 20 years old. Our pool guy and the company that did our vinyl liner both referred this company and now I know why. I called on a Thursday they had an opening for the following Tuesday. Confirmed my appointment afterwards. Nick showed up in time with us helper and they got right into it and found the problems within 15-20 min approx. inspected everything. He was able to fix the leaks on-site but because it was existing return pipes and the skimmer they couldn't guarantee (I understand they need to be replaced) So signed the waiver, they did the repairs and the pool holds the water. Price was reasonable for their knowledge, equipment and methods. Nick was very professional, knowledgeable and great to work with for sure. They've got a good employee. 1) Had bad pool leak -- level would fall by 1/2 to 1 inch after 6 hours of pump being on 2) Had been told likely problem was Skimmer Box 3) Choose Moore Leaks based on favorable Yelp reviews. For Pool and Jacuzzi cost was $350; I thought maybe high, but other repair place (that didn't do detection) said this quote was low; saw online a price of $250, but I believe that was only for pool, not jacuzzi. Saw on on Yelp "10% discount for "repairs" if mention Yelp.... I mentioned on the phone, but thought they might way it was an an inspection, not repair and would wouldn't qualify -- But when received the invoice by email attachment it included the discount, so was $315. 4) John and his assistant Robert were on-time, texted before arriving, and got to work politely and professionally. I started to clear the plants covering the ground where I suspected the leak - by the skimmer box -- but they were listening for leaks and asked me politely to be quiet..... I should have realized this and not made noise. 5) They worked efficiently trying different things in different places, listening, using dye, etc. 6) They found the problem was the jacuzzi, which I had NOT suspected. It had had a leak years ago, which I'd addressed by plugging the outlets. 7) John said problem with broken valve... it turns out my pool equipment had been trying to pump water into jacuzzi (which I'd plugged) and this was the leak. I hadn't suspected since I'd plugged the jacuzzi many years before and the current problem seemed new. 8) John sealed the broken valve.... so he "repaired" the problem (a temporary but important fix). The inspection call became a repair... at no extra cost. Currently pool water is not leaking - which is a great improvement (but I can not send water into the jacuzzi from pool equipment until I do a complete fix) 9) I received clear inspection report - and just replied that I'd like estimates for a permanent fixes. I'm writing this review because of the stellar service that John and his company Moore Leak Detection provided. I have had many issues with my pool and equipment since installation in 2015 with no help from the original builder and 100's of hours of headaches and work trying to trouble shoot different problems. One of my issues was very low water flow with relatively clean filters and what seemed to me to be some kind of suction side leak. Gotta tell you.... Absolutely no regrets in dealing with Moore Leaks! I have owned my pool for over 13 years, had no idea where to begin when it started losing water. Bad advice on YouTube, and NEVER call a regular plumber for this type of service! They came out with leak detection equipment and pinpointed the source of the problem, and recommended a reasonable fix. Came out within a couple days and cleanly cut the concrete, found the leak, patched it and repaired the concrete with minimal intrusion. We have 3 small kids in the house who never woke up during the cutting! Very professional, clean, efficient and best of all , friendly!
