It's really small, so you get intimacy but a good atmosphere the second you walk through the door, and the staff are friendly and willing to please without being intrusive. The food is a perfect example of how to properly cook traditional Indian cuisine, and although I can't enjoy Indian food as much as I should because I can't handle hot stuff, I loved my meal here. I had the lamb balti which was one of the best i've ever had, fall apart tender morsels of lamb in a delicious brown curry sauce, spiced to perfection, incredible dish all round, i added chapati and rice and couldn't be happier with my decision. I started with the Liver Tikka. I've never had this before and I would recommend it. Not spicy hot, temperature hot. Wow! For mains, the "handi" was listed as 'just like we have it at home' on the menu so I thought I'd give that a try. I chose lamb instead of chicken. It took about ten minutes (the waiter warned me it would be 15) and I also opted for two chapati to go with it. Again, very hot coming from the kitchen and it had a whole lot of flavor and spice, but it wasn't "hot" spicy just really tasty. Lots of small pieces of lamb in a sauce that is beyond description. Let's just say that it was excellent and the chapati was perfect for scooping. No dessert, but the cold bottle of Kingfisher was perfect (first time in a bottle, it's usually draft). A great meal!
