Smaller selection but fairly easy to navigate and search for things on your own (tried to find a book that was recommended and it wasn't at the branch, shucks). There's lots of tables and spaces to meet and study with people or by yourself. There are computers, some you have to reserve and some you can drop in and use (but I think there's an hour time limit per day or something) There's also the museum of Brent and a cinema located in the same centre. Not sure how the cinema works but I went into the museum and it's awesome. It's definitely geared towards children, crazy interactive exhibits left and right, but I had a blast going through it all by myself. There's even a video booth where you can record your story about various school topics like bullies, homework, favorite hot lunches. For sure come here if you need a few hours to kill with children in tow in Willesden. :)

The library is the corner post for this, located right on the high street, this is the place to come and sample local life. This is everything you would expect from a small local library, limited seating, a few computers and a selection of books with particular emphasis on local flavour. They also offer language courses for the local community. A great small library, if you're local this is an excellent resource.

This is one of the most well-stocked public libraries I have used…read more It is crammed with all manner of lendable materials and they host useful community talks. The extensive bilingual section for children was extremely helpful to me when I was teaching in primary school. There is a great range of DVDs, language instruction materials and local area information. One star off for the staff. Not unwilling to help, but mostly unable. When I smile and say good afternoon, it is nice to have it reciprocated. That has never happened to me here.
