Java Works is a little more corporate and they do not sell beans in bulk. What happens here? Roasting, e-commerce, & there is an on-site retail store, but that is not heavily marketed, according to one of the owners, Frank. The bags of whole beans is less expensive than what's on their website. Frank was kind enough to make me a latté from their Bravado line of espresso beans. It was very good, smooth, and did not need sugar. I didn't feel as free to sample because they didn't have an automated machine like Muldoon's. The two friendly ladies who worked at the front were also behind desks, so they don't have a dedicated sales person who is catering to walk-in traffic. However, I don't think it would be an issue if you wanted to taste a coffee before you purchased it! Despite its corporate appearance, it still did have a family-run feel to it. Heck, the founder, Spiros (in his 70s/80s even) still works there to this day!!!

And what a experience we got!…read more This reminds me of the US Veteran owned company, they are doing good things to help the community and veterans. They give back on every purchase. We entered and found a small lounge (for first responders etc) and someone came out to show us the merchandise. We bought a few bags of coffee and shirts and got to see the production side too. Super nice people, great cause, and GREAT coffee!! We will be ordering from them in the future. It would be awesome to see them grow but keep humble as one of their shirts says. Here at this cafe you won't find fancy deco, people here with their laptops, nor super comfy seating. People here just have one thing in mind.. amazing coffee!! Just like someone garage.. oh yes this is a garage?! With minimum deco but the best decoration is the coffee roaster. Here on their beans are roasted on site from organic fair trade coffee. How's the coffee here?! Both the espresso and americano we ordered has great crema, full bodied and a delicate fruity taste..... Love... Opens 7 am - 2 pm daily. A little out of the way.. but definitely worth my while to come back here for that special cup of coffee. For real coffee nerd, please talk to the barista who is also the one that roasting all these beans.

The location isn't great as it's tucked away in a pretty empty plaza. Even the ambiance upon entering doesn't give off the impression that the coffee will be THAT good but I'm here to tell you it is! I got the Iced Spanish Latte which was sweet and creamy and the espresso was so balanced and didn't get lost in the condensed milk. We also tried a Pourover and I like that you can choose any beans they offer! We went with the Loco Series Lychee Pop and it was outstanding. I'm a big fan of lychee and rose, both flavors are very palpable and even the aroma/color of the pourover were proof that it would be good. We ended up buying a bag of the whole beans. They're some of the best beans I've ever had. The barista is not only hilarious but definitely knows what he's doing!
