Most of the exhibitions are from up and coming artists currently studying at local colleges such as Savannah College of Arts and Design and Savannah State University. During the Norma Jean II exhibit, it was nice to meet the photographer (Logan Phillips, a soon to be SCAD graduate) and his parents, who were hosting the exhibit. It is always nice to meet the artist and their team of supporters. Sulfur Studios also host several other genres such as musical acts, dance lessons, and plays. I hope that it will continue Ito remain a vital part of the Savannah community.

When it's hot out, it's not only great to be able to duck into the store to cool off but also to see the various goods they carry. Being operated under the guidance of nonprofit Eastern National, the store is one of the better ones I've come across when visiting National Monuments. It not only has all kinds of tee shirts for souvenirs but also really magnificent replica glassware and other such items. It also has archive photos, books and other items that address the lives, both Confederate and Union, of those who fought at the fort, chronicles relating to the construction of the fort, Nation Park Passport Guide books, history excerpts on General Robert E. Lee and a good number of items and materials related to Coastal Georgia. Compared to the gift and souvenir shops located at other such National Monuments or parks, I'm really a super fan of this one.

A large portion of the museum focuses on the original 1974 The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, and the collection is amazing. It includes detailed exhibits, original memorabilia, props, recreations of locations from the film, and numerous opportunities to take fantastic pictures. Even if you are only a casual fan of the movie, the amount of history and craftsmanship on display is impressive. Our guide led us through the first exhibit and was both hilarious and extremely knowledgeable. He shared plenty of interesting information without making the experience feel like a lecture. After that, we were allowed to explore at our own pace. We spent approximately two hours inside, taking pictures, reading the displays, and examining everything without ever feeling rushed. The museum was also very clean and well organized. The adjoining record store is practically another attraction, with an excellent selection of vinyl records, movies, shirts, tiki mugs, limited editions, and other horror merchandise. Horror collectors should enter with a carefully prepared budget--or an understanding bank manager. Overall, Terror Vision offers a tremendous amount of entertainment for the price. The exhibits are thoughtfully assembled, the staff is knowledgeable, and the relaxed pace allows visitors to appreciate the collection properly. It was one of the most enjoyable stops of our trip. After leaving, we were chased down the street by a man wearing a hot dog costume and carrying a chainsaw. He repeatedly screamed, "NO KETCHUP!" while pursuing us for three city blocks. To be perfectly clear, this incident appeared to have absolutely no connection to Terror Vision. We were in Savannah, not Chicago, so I can only assume he escaped from the Chicago Graveface location and followed us south. Five stars for Terror Vision. The hot dog receives no rating, as the investigation remains ongoing.
