Recently moved to Kitsap county along with my 1975 VW beetle. Was looking for a mechanic with knowledge of old air cooled VW's. Was overdue on maintenance and Morris Race Engines was recommended by a guy with an old VW I met fueling up. Great experience. Amazing knowledge. Fair pricing and a passion for classic bugs. Stay Away! Save yourself a lot of frustration and take your VW somewhere else for work. You won't know up front what the repairs are going to cost you and then will be faced with a huge invoice. You never know when he will be there and is very hard to get in touch with. Not professional at all. He will also sell your parts and place a lien on your car. Plenty of other places to get your VW work done by an honest shop. read more

This guy is a TOTAL THIEF!!!! He totally, utterly ripped me off. He did, or CLAIMS to have done a ton of work NOT REQUESTED, and I ended up with an ENORMOUS bill. He has signs on the wall about storing fees, etc. so I was forced to sell family heirlooms to pay the bill. Then, it had to be towed in SIX FUKKIN TIMES, and never ran, stopped, steered, or idled well EVER. Poor workmanship, and a total CROOK. AVOID AVOID AVOID.. read more
