I don't know what's happened but the last couple of times we have visited; the service has been so shockingly bad that although the food is still good value, the whole experience is no longer enjoyable. The last time in particular, the place wasn't even that busy but there didn't appear to be anyone in charge and with numerous young staff (far more that should have been needed for an efficient service) all gathered in and around the kitchen rather that cleaning tables etc, there were people openly debating having to leave to catch trains etc. before their food was even served.

I ordered a portion BBQ chicken wings (5 in total) and a cheese burger, pretty standard really when you go to a pub, but it was executed really well and was presently nicely. I ended up getting a whopping 10 chicken wings, because the kitchen had made a mistake, but rather than serving me 5, they ended up still serving me it. Lucky! The interior is also very pleasant and very comfortable with friendly service. It's also not noisy so you can easily have a conversation with other people. All in all a nice place to dine out if you don't fancy cooking and an incentive on Wednesdays!
