I did find it hard to find any staff members around the store, or even greeting at the entrance/exit, again this isn't typical of other Marks & Spencer locations which are generally awesome. I'd probably avoid Marks & Spencer on any future visits to Crewe as it is a poor location in comparison to the others, but it's still nice to see this brand in the town for local residents, especially after the only other store within Crewe was closed, which is the reason for the extra star. 2*

The food sold here is all of the best quality. The store is stylish and well laid out and the customer service is great. It's on a retail park in Crewe so parking is easy (though at weekends the traffic can be a little heavy).

For me the drive to the nearest Waitrose (this one) is 20 miles but worth it. Think we decided yesterday to do our routine shop at Sainsbury's as usual but make a trip to Waitrose for a special shop once every 2 or 3 weeks. Their flowers (a must for Mrs G) are great quality and well tended. Nice touch - as you check out they ask if you want special wrapping (which I gather was free of charge) also back at my care a young man comes over to take care of my cart. The fruit, veg, cheese, fish, meat all fresh, excellent and well presented. To be honest the bakery could do with improvement. That said - you can't go wrong at this lovely Waitrose!

There is a cafe onsite which serves great hot food, the food is quite cheap as well. There is also a pharmacy at the top of the store together with an instore bakery and deli counter. The store is clean and the staff are very helpful and the toilets are clean and checked regularly by the staff.

While it is big for a city centre/ mall location, it is dwarfed by their other stores. I do feel the store could be due to some renovation as it did feel a little old and even dirty at times especially with the old flooring, and they did also appear to be understaffed so it was hard to find a staff member when required to ask where certain items were, such as the free from section which was a shame. The Free From section was interesting, they did have some cool and unique items such as Brewdog Beer, but they lacked with pretty standard items such as a selection of bread. They sell a great range of clothes for kids , babies , men and us women who love to shop. The staff are always there to help and if you need more of the items and its not available on the shelves they will check out the back in the warehouse . They sell great ranges of birthday cakes and also do a service where if youve got a picture of your chose they will copy that picture onto the cake of which was great for my daughters first birthday and the best things about it was that it didnt look cheap and it tasted yummy as my kids said lol. Meaning to pay for parking, go for coffee then go back to shop, I wanted to be quick. However, the till operator who was only talking to another member of staff, made me go back up the first aisle then down the second to pay for item. There was no one in the shop (not a big surprise) so I was not queue jumping - she said she couldn't serve me from that side of the till and would not let me go two foot through the till to be on 'the other side'. As I was leaving, she said 'see you later', to which I replied 'no, never again!' With staff like her, I am not surprised the place was empty - there was just no need for an attitude like this!
