TK Maxx is a discounter selling last seasons designer gear for discounted prices. This means that often the sizing will be a bit funny so make sure you try everything on if you don't fancy a return visit. They stock womens, mens, kids and household items and if you keep your eyes peeled you can bag some amazing bargains. However don't forget your head, check all items for faults as some can be a bit shoddy. However I have had amazing shoes, handbags and clothes from there. I always go midweek as weekends it gets crazy. Well worth a visit if you want designer style at high street prices

The store has good facilities you'd expect to find in most Marks and Spencer locations including an M&S Cafe, Food Hall and toilet facilities. I did find the Food Hall to be a reduced selection compared to what you'd usually find in Marks and Spencer, it seems to offer a taster of the brand, more than anything else. For example, they may sell many products such as meat, dairy and fruit juices, but the choices within these sections seem to be much fewer than in other stores. I couldn't find the specific type of sausages and milk that I wanted... but there were similar alternatives Many items seemed to have a much shorter shelf life than I would have liked/expected too, I noticed the use-by date on many products to be 2-3 days, and that in a different store would be considerably longer. I understand they are restricted by Sunday trading hours, but it is a shame they are one of the first stores in town to close on a Sunday, I would much prefer their opening hours to be from 11 am to 5 pm, compared to their current 10:30 am to 4:30 pm, as the extra half hour in the afternoon makes all the difference to me. The opening hours Monday to Saturday, are much more reasonable between 8 am and 7 pm. 3* - A nice modern store, a decent size, and a great brand to have in the town, but not the best Marks and Spencer by all means, with some issues.

The staff seemed friendly, although one employee did confuse vegan and gluten-free, presuming it would still be okay, so allergy training should be improved, especially considering Marks and Spencer are generally pretty clued up about gluten-free / allergies etc. The mobile scanning system seemed to be down, which I was told is due to the wi-fi the store is on, which seems to be intermittent - hopefully, this will be fixed to improve reliability and consistency. 3* - I do prefer Booths across the way, but this isn't a bad alternative if you're in a hurry.

The centre is indoors and has always seemed clean and tidy but the choice of stores could be better theres a dorothy perkins new look and other chain stores but also a few scruffy looking independant clothes stores. Theres a good size marks and spencer with the usual range of clothing home wares and food. Theres a few really cheap stores within the centrw the most marked being ethal austin which really is dire untidy with very low quality stock I do visit this centre whenever I visit family but cannot say that I would make an effort to visit her on purpose.
