After doing a little research, I came across a mouth device, called Thornton Adjustable Positioner, (TAP 3), which is a mouth device much like an Invisalign. The next step would be to figure out which orthodontist would offer the device. I made an appointment to see Dr. Iyer at Dr. Segal and Iyer Orthodontics, located at 501 NJ - 73 #202 Marlton New Jersey. I can honestly say I've never been to a facility more organized, and with 21st-century technology. Dr. Iyer was extremely amazing! She was able to sit with me and educate me on exactly how the device worked and how it's going to benefit my sleep habits. I will definitely recommend anyone with sleep apnea or any orthodontic issues to see Dr. Iyer. You will not be disappointed. They took care of all her routine care, and when she turned 10 they put on her braces. At every checkup they would complement her on how well she cared for her teeth. Sometimes they would remind her that she needs to floss, which I would encourage her to do at home. When it was time to take off the braces, they informed me that she had multiple cavities and needed two root canals. The surprised me because when she had braces, at every check up, they said her teeth were looking great. Anyway, we let them put in lots of fillings and do all kinds of repair work to her teeth. All of which turned out to be completely shoddy work! Now I'm spending thousands of dollars (to much better dentists) to fix the terrible crowns and fillings that they botched.

They cited a 6 month cleaning was required to get referral, and then they canceled the scheduled cleaning & will not make ANY appointments because they don't have a dental hygienist on staff! My daughter is a well established patient with regular 6 month cleanings. Absolutely ridiculous that they can't provide referrals unless you get a cleaning, but then can't provide cleanings.

We have both had excellent experiences. The progress that my child has made during treatment so far surprised and impressed our new dentist, who said that Dr. Paterno does amazing work. Dr. Paterno pays attention to detail and takes care to not move on to the next step until things are exactly where they should be. She explains all of the steps of the process thoroughly and clearly. We have never had a problem getting something fixed in between appointments as needed. Everyone in the office is very kind and helpful. When the time did come, staff remained friendly, kind, and remember the little things. And that's just the front office staff! Dr. Murray and the technicians do their best to make everyone feel comfortable and create a safe environment. My son had spacers put in in the middle of February. And then Covid hit. Because there was so much uncertainty and what would stay open and what was shot, Dr. Murray took the spacers and said we would start again. I moved to the area about 6 yrs ago and chose them because they were local. The 1st few visits were…read morefriendly, normal, went okay but after a few years a see lot has changed. The service has degraded, on all levels. You make an appointment, give your ins info, confirm the appt...all set. Then you get a reminder 5 days before the appointment, then about 3 days before, each time I respond yes, confirmed, complete all the pre appointment intake forms, etc...should be all set, right? NOPE. 2 days before the appt., another text to confirm, then the day before they send a text threatening to cancel my appt if i don't confirm by 6pm today. Really? I still kept my appt., went in on time in the afternoon, 1pm est and waited for about 30-40 min for the dentist. I wonder...can I charge him a late fee? Ha... Meanwhile, while in the waiting room...I can clearly hear the employees at the front desk area talking about people once they hang up the phone, it was bad. It was so uncomfortable because I am sure they talk negative about me as well since I am a patient...I mean, why wouldnt they, right? Now to the visit.. He walks in, I'm chatting friendly and he turns around with a needle in his hand coming for me mouth.
