There's amazing view - the lake on top of the mountain between the rocks. Walk around the lake downstairs a bit to get some great photos. I would recommend to getting on top by horses, and go down on paved trail by foot, it is about 1 hr 30 min. You can go up and down, but make sure you are trained for 8 km walk each way. read more

One day Morskie Oko will be so full of people that it will be impossible to see, just the backs of an enormous crowd. This surely is the biggest lake business in the world. Parking is more expensive than the centre of Krakow. The trip up or down by cart is more expensive per kilometre for one person than a dodgy taxi in Krakow for 4. The walk to the lake is along a forest lined road, relentlessly climbing for 8km. My walking partner suffered an outbreak of adhd or tree-madness on the way but we eventually made it. The lake itself is stunning, due to the cleanliness of the water and the colours revealed but if you are looking for peace and tranquillity, you will probably see less people in the main shopping areas of any major city. read more
