My first impression was that Teri had everything completely under control, and Dr. Arnold seemed like a somewhat nerdy surfer guy who really knew his stuff. There is nothing better than a practitioner who "nerds out" on what he does - you know he's passionate about it. I immediately liked them both. Over the years, I grew alongside the practice. Despite expanding, adding another office, and relocating to Brandon, Dr. Arnold, Teri, and the rest of the staff remained exactly what made them special from the beginning: grounded, professional, caring, and genuinely invested in my dental health. They always worked with me as partners to achieve the best possible outcomes. In many ways, they felt more like friends than healthcare providers. One thing that always impressed me about Dr. Arnold is his honesty. He doesn't sugarcoat anything--you get a straightforward assessment of your condition and the available options. At the same time, he provides thoughtful, well-developed treatment plans and clearly explains each option so you can make informed decisions. His directness is balanced by compassion, empathy, and a complete absence of judgment. Teri and the office staff are absolute experts when it comes to insurance and billing. If there's a way to maximize your benefits and minimize your costs, they'll find it. When I underwent Invisalign treatment to correct an overbite that was largely cosmetic rather than functional, Dr. Arnold and his staff helped me take advantage of discounts and other opportunities that saved me literally thousands of dollars. Another quality I greatly appreciated is Dr. Arnold's attention to detail. He can be a perfectionist--and in cosmetic dentistry, that's a tremendous asset. During my Invisalign treatment, I eventually had to tell him I was satisfied because he wanted to continue correcting tiny imperfections that I barely noticed. He was completely transparent about this, and while I appreciated his commitment to achieving the best possible result, I wasn't eager to spend another few years in Invisalign trays. We discussed it openly, aligned on our goals, and developed a plan we were both happy with. That experience perfectly reflects one of Dr. Arnold's greatest strengths: communication. Although I have since moved out of state and now see another provider, I will always remember the exceptional care, service, and compassion I received from Dr. Arnold and his team. He seemed to get irritated if you take too much of his time or ask too many questions. I had to ask for the antibiotics after the gum surgery, and he gave me the prescription as a photocopy, rather than the original receipt, which I have never seen any doctor's office do. Neither he nor his staff ever called to check back on me to see how I was doing, even though I have serious medical issues. I researched his records online, and found he has some criminal records, which I did not discover until after I had the bone graft. When I tried to call for a checkup after the 4 month healing period, their phones were blocking my calls. I tried to reach them for 2 weeks by asking someone to go by there and tell them I was trying to reach them, and they claimed they were having problems with their phones. What doctor's office leaves their phones out of service for 2 weeks, and does not answer calls from their patients? I won't be back there. I would carefully consider being careful to not put my care into any dentist who conducts his practice in such a cold, calculating manner as that. I do not recommend this doctor.

I just went to Dr Gordillo yesterday for the first time. This was the FIRST TIME in my entire life…read morethat I had fun at a dentist's office! Dr. Gordillo is an absolute riot to be around. Her personality fills the entire room and she set me at ease. You could clearly see that her staff loves her as well. Why can't more doctors and dentists be like her? If you go to any other general dentist in the greater Brandon area, you are making a HUGE mistake. The other thing I liked was how progressive she is with dentistry. She uses lasers instead of drills where possible. Very few dentists can do that. The exam room reminded me of the bridge of the Starship Enterprise! I was expecting an attack by Klingons at anytime! Don't hesitate to visit Dr Gordillo, you WON'T be sorry! I decided after posting my comment above to add something else: Go over to carefreedental.com and buy an Aetna dental discount card. Due to service connected injuries, I have have a highly complicated set of bite guards. The VA who had all previous bite guards messed them up ALL the time. Not these guys. Also the front office staff is amazing when dealing with the VA payment and authorization system. That place causes more patient injury then help. But Oakfield Dental deals with them and only involves me when I need to become Karen on the VA. Which is the only way to make the VA pay up or authorize something. Kyle was so nervous when he told me. I was very confused and could not understand why this wasn't noticed before. Do they actually review the xrays, or are they just billing me? They told me the tooth can't be saved and I need to see an implant surgeon. Well my tooth fell out last week when I was eating cerel. I went and changed my insurance to hopefully have more of the periodontal issues covered, and now looking back, my old insurance would have covered it!
