I had saw a post stating that the Poughkeepsie office was closed and this was the closest location and when I arrived the place was packed. However, since I have a doctor with Orthopedic associates was able to be seen. X-rays revealed Osteo arthritis prevalent in my knee, bone spurs, which was causing the pain. Dr. Giannatta saw me did a review of the X-rays and tested my range of motion. He decided a cortisone injection was warranted and 24 hours later I can walk with only minimal discomfort. It is 90% better than Friday morning when I arrived. I see a lot of bad reviews for OA my personal experience has always been good at Poughkeepsie and Kingston locations.

I received an EOB from CDPHP (not my insurance since 2006) on 4/9/11 in my former name (name not…read moreused since 2007) for date of service 11/12/10 (was not there). The EOB of course stated that I am not covered and would be responsible for payment to the provider Dr. John Ioia, Kingston Bone and Joint Center. I called Ioia's office on 4/11/11 to discuss this with them. I spoke to Sherry and she adamantly insisted I was there under workers comp, but since she had no comp info she had to bill insurance on record. Last time I was there was 10/2006. I tried to tell her that I did not have this insurance since 2006, that I have not worked since 2007, that my name changed in 2007, but it fell on deaf ears. Later that day I receive a bill from Ioia's office stating that since they had no comp info and that CDPHP denied me that I was responsible for this bill for $37. I again called Sherry to no avail. My husband called her also and she was nice to him and told him she inverted one number. I filed a complaint with the Ulster Co. Consumer Fraud Bureau. They wrote her. Sherry sent a response back to them. In her response she told them she inverted two numbers (that changed from what she told my husband). She stated she sent me a corrected statement with a zero balance (I never received this). I saw the copy she sent the bureau. She denied the workers comp statement, but on copy of my bill it states workers comp. She stated that I called my husband at work and he called her from work. In fact my husband was calling her from our kitchen and no where did he mention he was calling from work. This woman is a liar and trying to justify her actions. By her sending my info to an insurance company that I have not dealt with in 5 years she violated the Hipaa law. By her doing what she did she created a permanent medical record for me. It is documented at CDPHP that I allegedly had an office visit the Ioia. It is documented in Ioia's computers that I was there, had a charge with them and an adjusted charge. I created a record with the fraud bureau to straighten this mess out. Because of Sherry's errors I have this long paperwork trail.

From the front desk to the exam room, everyone was kind, super helpful- they listened and reacted. My doctor, Dr. Kaye, was SO thorough, conscientious and upbeat that even though I'm not out of the woods yet, I felt happy and knew I would be. My good experiences have outweighed the early, weak ones over the years. Of course they are busy and understaffed and I'm not fooling myself that that is going to change, but the physicians are great, the problems are administrative ( as usual ) and I'm taking it one appointment at a time.....

She told me Dr. Mauer was the best shoulder guy around. From my 1st visit to see him, my surgery, to my 1 year follow up with Dr. Mauer everything was perfect. I have my life back.

I made an appointment with Dr. Ristic because he treated my daughter for a hand injury and was good, so when my son injured his hand I thought "Hey get an appointment with Dr. Ristic". Little did I know that his office would just decide to cancel my son's appointment. He took the day off without pay and drove the one hour up to this appointment. When he got there he was told the appt was canceled because his cut was supposedly open. It was not and we got a confirmation text the night before for this appointment. We are obviously upset with the callousness of this office [1910 South Road, Poughkeepsie, NY]. I just called to complain and was told the appt was canceled because it was listed a "No fault" injury and Dr. Ristic doesn't do these cases. WTF???? My son injured his hand working with a metal piece from a car in OUR garage in OUR HOUSE! The ER saw him and charged my insurance for the visit with no issue. I needed his hand to be checked out to make sure the tendons were OK. Amari from OADC then said that no one is in his office right now to talk to - they are all gone. REALLY!!! So they just wanted to leave early on a Friday? Then DO NOT MAKE FRIDAY AFTERNOON APPOINTMENTS! Such horrible, unprofessional behavior. Do NOT use OADC on 1910 South Road for any injury ever.
