    Creme Brle Latte

Located in a business area of Torrey Hills (north of sorrento mesa and La Jolla), Mostra Coffee is a San Diego based coffee spot that uniquely reps subtle Filipino flavors like turon, ube, and bibingka. Sadly, they were sold out of their turon crème brûlée latte, but I did end up getting their crème brûlée latte. The crème brûlée latte has the signature brûlée on top of the drink which was an interesting textural component that added little sweetness and a pleasant sweet, burnt aroma. Seating was limited, but it was extremely quiet and we opted to sit outside on a beautiful day! Mostra has several locations in SD - definitely consider this a solid coffee spot! Note the limited hours at this location as they're open daily from 7a-2p

We are visiting from Vegas and found this place on Yelp. Was excited to try it because of the great reviews and photos of the pastries and Ube cookie was calling my name. Unfortunately, the first sip was super disgusting and couldn't even taste any coffee. The guy working the counter wasn't very friendly either so that didn't make our experience great at all. They didn't have any food items at all so even more of a reason for my 1 star review but honestly this place doesn't deserve any stars because the coffee was so terrible. Super disappointed and would NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!!

Moseyed on over here on a Monday morning around 11am to get coffee, and although there was nobody in front of us ordering it took quite a bit of time to get our order. We got to try the Creme Brulee Latte and the Ube Creme Brulee Latte. Both drinks were alright to me. I'm not a coffee connoisseur nor do I really enjoy the taste of coffee, but I thought the Ube flavor and Creme Brulee top would make it a lot tastier/sweet but no it tasted pretty much like a solid latte with a hint of ube. My boyfriend loves creme brulee, it's his favorite dessert and he also wasn't quite "WOWed" I would have probably been more moved by the Campfire Mocha since the chocolate syrup makes the drink overall sweeter, so I'd be open to coming back to try it!

Came here on a weekend morning for coffee and pastries! We ordered an Ube Creme Brulee Latte, Blueberry Pancakes Latte, and Ham and Cheese croissants. Ube Creme Brulee Latte: So yummy! I didn't realize this wasn't caffeinated but it's ok. The ube flavor was really strong, and the creme brulee top added a really interesting texture. Blueberry Pancakes Latte: On the sweeter side, but it does taste like what is described! So unique. Ham and Cheese croissants: These were so delicious! The croissants were so flaky and it was so flavorful. The seasoning on top worked really well also. The space was so cute, and seating was pretty easy to find. The baristas were also really friendly, and our drinks came out so fast! Definitely worth a try :)

Mostra has been on my list of cafes I've wanted to try for a while and it did not disappoint! This location is hidden away in a business park, which I liked because it felt a little less busy than other locations so I was able to snag a table mid morning on a weekday. I've been obsessed with banana lattes recently and their Choconana cold brew has got to be the best one I've had so far. It tastes exactly like chocolate chip banana bread which is pretty much what i'm looking for in a banana latte. It was so good I forgot to snag a picture before I was halfway done! The wifi worked great and they have access to a bathroom in the connected office building. Overall it was a great place to get some work done. I would love to come back and try one of their creme brulee lattes.

The coffee is up to par with the other Mostra location in SD. Their decor is simple and it's extremely clean inside. They have the fancy Ube / crème brûlée drinks here. We got the turon latte which was made with banana milk and it was unique. I enjoyed it since it wasn't too sweet. They also had croissants available! The young lady at the register was super nice and took time explaining the single serve coffee packets to us. This location was located in an office park. There is WiFi if you choose to work here. Parking was easy to find since they have a lot.

The coffee shop I was most looking forward to trying on our visit back to my hometown was the one I was least impressed by! I was drawn by the Filipino-inspired coffee drinks on their menu thanks to my San Diego friends who would post this on their social media, so I shared a bibingka latte with my husband. The coffee wasn't as bold as I'd like and the drink was a little watery. My husband and I go on coffee crawls whenever we travel, so we were able to compare Mostra with many other local coffee shops. My husband thought the bibingka topping was a bit overwhelming for a latte. Maybe their simpler lattes and brewed coffee taste better. On the bright side, the ube coconut cookie had such amazing flavor and texture. The texture reminded me of oatmeal cookies, but tastier (for those of you who don't like oatmeal cookies!)

I stopped in this new Mostra Coffee location in Torrey Pines. I ordered a cortado with whole milk and their bacon and egg breakfast sandwich on a brioche bun. The cortado was pretty good. It was smooth and rich in coffee flavor. I was bummed it was not served in the traditional Gibraltar glass. I would have looked much nicer. The breakfast sandwich was a disappointment. The eggs were not made to order as I thought or looked on the menu. Instead, they were pre-made and cut into rectangular prism. I was not a fan, so I politely returned it and asked for a refund. I was bummed I couldn't have breakfast, but I'm happy they returned my $10. I hope they get their elbows dirty in the future and prepare egg to order. A nice soft scramble would be grand on the brioche bun. This location offers nice, comfortable seating inside and outside. The service was friendly, but they should welcome people as they walk in. Oh yes, their coffee beans are available here for retail.

I came soon after they had opened and it wasn't too busy! The service is great and the drinks are good! I always get the cookie butter latte but I think their crème brûlée drinks are popular! I got a bagel with cream cheese for breakfast while I was there and something I really appreciated was that they gave me another cream cheese packet when I asked. So many places charge for an extra when the packet is just not enough for a layer for me! That great service made the experience better. I think there are also about two or three outlets there, if you're looking to study! No issues with parking. I recently tried their pumpkin cold brew (I think that's what it was) and it was ok! I think I will stick to my usual. Note: Nostalgia Coffee was here previously!

5/5 For someone who doesn't really drink coffee- this was really good. All the flavors were there. Ube Latte - my favorite - had great flavors- perfect blend of coffee and ube flavors. I can see why this place gets busy. Definitely give it a try if you're in town.

This Mostra location is great! We've been to one in Poway but this is a nice one tucked in a business area. We came on the weekend so it might be different during the week, however for a Sunday morning it was really peaceful. A nice amount of seating and quick service. They have a great menu in my opinion, with lots of options for different fun drinks! We had a guava cheese pastry too which was delicious. Would absolutely recommend a visit!

10/26/24: MOSTRA COFFEE'S TORREY HILLS GRAND OPENING WAS GREAT FOR THE COMMUNITY. The official grand opening ceremony lasted for a good part of the day with a DJ, incredible staff, great food & drinks as well as floods of customers! I ordered: * Longacino McMostra Breakfast Sando (longanisa-Tocino, egg, hashbrowns) 10/10 * Buko Pandan Ube-ignets (with coconut flakes & powdered sugar) 8/10. These beignets are a little more dense than a traditional beignet, which gives it more of a fluffy donut texture. * Ube Crème Brûlée Latte 10/10. I've visited other locations and must say Mostra Coffee really knows how to make delicious lattes. I'm excited to see this business thrive with their future plans!

Located in Torrey Pines, parking is plentiful and easy to find. The staff were welcoming and kind. Though seats are few it seems enough for the size of the store. There are options for both indoor and Creme brulee latte (5/5): super! The sugar was perfectly caramelized. It wasn't too hot which may not be to your preference. The cream and espresso mixed so well creating a rich and textured drink from the crispy bits of caramelized sugar. Tap to pay is accepted. Overall, Mostra Coffee is great place for coffee. The menu items are very unique and there are some cool flavors.

First sat at the bar and then got seated at our table maybe 20 min after our reservation time. Got a bottle of water but no cups so we had to ask for cups. And then our food came maybe 40 min after ordering. But the seating arrangement is just bad. The table was worse than the bar. We regretted moving. If you are unlucky enough to get seated at the big long table as a two-person party then you have to sit across from them and it gets hard to hear each other because you're sitting right next to other groups too. It's a bad environment for a date night. I haven't had that level packed into a restaurant since New York! Also, the lighting at night is all weird and dim. We even saw the group next to us shine flashlights on their food and request more lighting.

We saw at least 5 more parties walk up and be sat down instantly (we were a party of 3 btw). We asked the hostess yet again, when will we be sat down, at this point we've been waiting for an hour we saw a table be cleaned and yet again another walk up was sat down instantly, that was a party of 4. We asked what the hold up was, one hostess said we can be seated now, we walk in and then she stopped us then asked would we like to be sat outside, we said doesn't matter at this point, she jetted outside and left us just standing there on the inside. I asked her what's going on are we being sat down? She said no wait 5 minutes for a table. At this point we're getting frustrated because why is the organization at this point TERRIBLE, but a walk up is not an issue. I then tell the hostess we've been waiting over an hour and you mean to tell me every walk up gets sat down instantly but not the people who have been waiting on the list, she answers me by saying "yes". After a table is cleared on the inside a hostess tells us to follow her to a table, she then asks how many is in my party when she was the main one who checked us in and saw us waiting the whole time. After all that time, our waiter was running behind so his manager took our order and kept apologizing to us. When we finally get our orders, the food was equivalent as to going into IHOP or Dennys. Nothing stood out, flavor was lacking. At this point we were better off going to Broken Yolk across the street. Customer service and the waitlist system seriously needs major improvement here. Simple manners and accountability lack here as well when it comes to making mistakes. Only thing I liked was my chai latte. Most likely will not come back here.

I walked into a cozy café atmosphere that works equally well for a casual dessert stop, a late-night sweet craving, or catching up with friends over drinks and pastries. While the menu includes savory options, most people come here for the desserts, especially the soufflé pancakes that have become the restaurant's signature. The soufflé pancakes are the main attraction and are available in several flavors, with the strawberry and crème brûlée versions being some of the most popular. The pancakes arrive tall, fluffy, and lightly sweet, topped with fresh fruit, cream, or sauces depending on the flavor. I tried the crème brûlée version and found the contrast between the fluffy pancake and the torched, caramelized topping worked surprisingly well, adding a bit of texture that kept each bite interesting without making the dessert feel too heavy. Beyond the pancakes, the café also offers crepe cakes, honey toast, and specialty drinks, giving plenty of options for sharing. The desserts tend to lean less sweet than traditional American desserts, which helps balance some of the richer toppings and makes it easier to enjoy a full serving without feeling overwhelmed. One thing to keep in mind is that the soufflé pancakes are made to order, so wait times can be longer than expected, especially during busy hours. I found the tradeoff was worth it, as everything arrived freshly prepared and the presentation was often just as appealing as the taste. The pancakes held their structure well and didn't deflate too quickly, which is a detail that can be hit or miss at other soufflé spots. Parking in the Convoy area can also be challenging during peak times, making an earlier visit a good idea to avoid circling the block. Overall, Cake De Partie is a solid dessert destination if you're looking for Japanese-style soufflé pancakes in San Diego. The fluffy pancakes, creative dessert selection, and relaxed café atmosphere make it a fun place to end a meal or satisfy a sweet tooth while exploring Convoy. I left feeling like I had experienced something a bit more thoughtful than a standard dessert stop, with a menu that rewards slowing down and sharing.

Another table was also talking about this issue. Bacon was way overcooked as well. I also really dislike when food timing for a table is way off.
