Well first off I want to say, it's a motel. You get what you pay for. Beds were very nice surprisingly for a motel, and not too bad. I slept good and the room was nice and cool. The bathroom however had hair in the tub and toilet had not been scrubbed, had some nasty stains inside of there and around the rim. But , I am a housekeeper myself to a big hotel chain, so I over look every little thing. Tv and fridge worked well, which you don't find in most motels. The light fixture above my first queen bed did not work, but the rest had no problem working. All outlets i used were working which was amazing , as some motels and hotels I stay at, a lot of outlets do not work. It was very rainy and windy when i stayed so i didn't have a chance to experience the pool, but it looked very clean and pristine. Rude manager who left us in a room with mold on our ceiling in bathroom, wet floor due to air conditioner not working correctly, I was given a hanger to unclog my sink, dead roach in bathroom to welcome me, room smelled awful, unclean room, trashy grounds, manager was rude when I asked for towels, he has no business running a motel because he does not care about the conditions you are staying in, would not come to the phone to speak to me after we left because I was not satisfied. Very unsanitary with mold... do not stay here. Also some young adult was walking around the area yelling and talking to himself out loud everyday we were there throwing his hands in the air. Nothing was done about him. I believe it was the manager's son. Unsafe. The worst motel I have ever stayed in. Do not waste your money & time on this trashy place with rude people who run it. read more

Stayed here April 15, 2024 so we could go to South Padre Island. Room smelled like they were trying to cover up musty smell with flowery air freshener. The doors looked as though there had been numerous attempts at break ins. Unnerving. There was no smoke alarm in room. It was disconnected. Sparse furnishings, which was probably a good thing for cleaning room. No carpet! That is a big yes! Bathroom was clean but the tub was extremely slippery and no handrails. Bed was clean but very hard! Only 3 pillows on king bed. Asked for more but were told they had no extra pillows. A/C worked well and TV was pretty nice. Also, motel provided shampoo and soap. We were on first floor at very end. Pretty quiet. Didn't use pool but my husband said it didn't look clean. I had to get out of shower to let my husband in because the key does not work when door locked from inside. Safety feature. He went to buy pillows at Walmart! I used towel to wipe up water from floor and was pleasantly surprised that the floor was really clean! The staff at the front desk was rude and very unhelpful!!! The quest that were down stairs from me were VERY LOUD and obnoxious at 12 am. Woke me up and kept me up until something was yelled at them to be quiet! Manger acted like she could've done a thing. Was going to turn it in to the GM.....OK....RIGHT! She didn't attempt to give me some sort of refund for my horrible stay! THEY ARE ONE OF THE WORST PLACES TO STAY IN ROCKPORT! And the front office is very unprofessional!!! read more

Brandi was super helpful and very friendly from our first call thru making reservation to when we checked in and room had not been cleaned. works well without showing stress. Got us in to another room quickly. Overall would recommend but just a few suggestions ....Beds extremely hard, toilet is very low for anyone tall or bad legs . Stayed at the motel 6 in Rockport tx recently and was very impressed by how clean the room was. Definitely better than some of the other hotels I've stayed at. Hotel staff was very friendly, room smelled clean and had fresh linen everyday. Housekeeping does a wonderful job making sure room is clean and refreshed while we were out at the beach. First off let me start by saying that this is Motel 6. It's a motel folks. If you want to stay in a 4-5 star hotel then you will pay the price. We live in Las Vegas and are visiting family here, but we enjoy our privacy, so we opted for this place. For those who are complaining about the men on the balcony...these are construction workers. They are here, more than likely, on a per diem. Some have their families with them. They are here rebuilding after Harvey. There is a beautiful brand new pool too. I didn't use it, but the water was warm to the touch and the children were having a splendid time. The gals cleaning the rooms were polite and accommodating. The GM was chatty and polite. I have to say that we were pleased and this is the nicest motel 6 I have ever stayed in. It's just enough. Our stay was 5 nights and we slept well. The bed is comfortable, which was surprising. We have a very expensive mattress at home, so I always expect discomfort, but I was quite cozy. We thought about staying in Corpus, but boy oh boy am I glad we didn't. Most of the hotels are trashed from Harvey and many businesses closed still, or indefinitely. This place is perfectly situated by all of the local shopping and beaches. It also has more than basic cable and Wi-Fi. We had a mini fridge, microwave, & coffee maker. If you are weary because, of the not so great reviews, don't be. read more

Reserved room thru Orbitz. The Room although quiet and clean was lacking seating and storage for personal item's. While checking in at the front desk there was no employee to greet us and had to wait a few minutes for anyone to arrive and help us check-in. Regrettably this particular front desk manager was lacking any sort of social skills and seemed rather bothered as well as apathetic to our request to check in. We had issues with the room key and was NOT told the key would give you a beeping sound rather than a green light when triggered. So we fumbled with the key until finally giving up and going back down to the front desk for help. The same apathetic employee was not at all happy he had to follow me to our room to explain how the key worked unlock the door. We checked out the next day I asked for a receipt only to find out the printer was not working! I then asked that the receipt be sent to my email only to be told and I quote " We do not send receipts via email" (Wait-What!) I gathered from his body language and attitude Mr. personality was totally uninterested in problem solving this request. Needless to say I will not be staying at Motel 6 again when I visit Rockport. Maybe by then their staff will have attended retail social skills 101 training! (sigh)..... read more

Beds were very hard and uncomfortable and we found a roach in our room. Overall it did fine for what we needed it for which was just a place to crash after hitting up the beach. Reasonably priced. AC worked really well. Probably would just pay a little more next time for more comfort and some continental breakfast. read more

We stayed here 4 days and it was good. When we checked in the lady at the desk asked me to call them direct next time we stay longer then 3 days she said she would give us a better price ( we booked threw hotels.com ). The place is nice it's new and the Decor is contemporary there is a microwave and a small refrigerator the staff are very nice The only complaint is that we could here the guy next to us snoring but that's not there fault that the guy snores like a lion during feeding time. I'm taking one star away because I felt like the lady at the desk should have discounted the room if I was supposed to get a cheaper price. I know it wasn't there fault but they sign up with hotels.com so they should put the price that should be in there. read more

Stayed here for 4 nights. Everything was new in our room. Very clean, very nice!! The outside was also kept very clean, and they had several picnic tables and mini grills outside for the guests. The decor was very contemporary and fresh. The beds were not sleep number, but we're still fairly comfortable. The bathrooms were all new. They offer a continental breakfast, which we never went to, so I cannot let you know how that was. The walls seemed to be thin, as we could here babies crying, people snoring, and visitors knocking on doors. It did not bother us too much, as we were dead tired when we got back to our rooms and it took us no time to fall asleep. Call them directly for a better deal. We used a booking website and wound up paying more, but still got a great deal for what we paid . I'm glad we found this place. Everywhere else wAs booked and we were afraid of what kind of room we would be getting by booking so last minute. I'm glad we did, and we will stay again in the future!! read more

Hey it's Motel 6, so I feel like I'm being generous already considering that the last time i stayed in a motel 6 was like 1989. But honestly it's not half bad! Its pretty basic , but I would think that's to be expected. You Get what you pay for, right? But the place is new so everything is still sparkly and clean, the beds are comfy, rooms are huge and there is a nice little eating area. The folks who own or manage the property are really sweet and helpful. They've put in a sweet little garden area with picnic tables and grilles and hummingbird feeders. Oh yeah, forgot to mention, all my favorite tv channels. Because even on vacation, I have NO life! If you are driving here and have the space, I would bring my own sheets, quilt and towels. One of the "bath towels" barely covered my leg. I thought it was a hand towel! But, keep in mind that I am one picky Penelope and consider my lowest stay is a Hampton Inn. I think I saw that they are pet friendly too- that's a plus! Have fun, Rockport is so charming ;perfect mixture of people of class, camp and trash! We just bought a vacation home! read more

If I could do no stars I would. Simply put, Jay, the owner, has horrid customer service and apparently a serious lack of common sense and decency. He said he doesn't care if we post a bad review; that should be enough said but we hope you care enough to keep reading and do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. We were late checking out (no cell phone service and took longer fishing than we expected) so he took it upon himself to go through our personal belongings (creepy!) and kick us out even though he had our credit card information and could have simply charged us another night which we were fully anticipating and would have completely understood. He and his wife knew we had 4 children including a 10 month old. His reasoning was bc he needed the rooms but he still had 3 rooms available for rent and the parking lot was empty save 3 cars. Yes, it's a Motel 6, but that doesn't mean you have to check your class at the door. read more

Worst hotel ever! I stayed there on 10/20. I was in RP as a volunteer for the COM. Found this place at 2 AM.... People were very rude. Room was filthy if it wasn't for the fact that I was dead tired I would have left! No coffee in the morning.... just rude staff! $138 is gouging and I will complain to the Office of the Attorney General. I will never stay at a Hotel 6 ever again... Great motel if you don't want to spend a lot. I am a mom who wanted to take her sons on an overnight trip to the beach. We went swimming at the beach in Port A and then came over here to fish and spend the night. Hard to find a place right now after Harvey or one that doesn't have a min night stay. We checked in, room was extremely clean, got pizza from Panjo's (they don't sell Ranch which really ticks me off). The pool was sooo clean and nice. There is a nice sitting area with nice furniture by the pool. There was only one man out there with us who was nice, friendly, not trashy. I booked the room with king (cheaper) and brought my boys air mattress'. The room was the perfect size for this! We had plenty of room! I was able to park right out front which was great since alone and no one to help unload car. The only downside is that the guy above us came in at 1:00 am and I could hear him walking around and talking but not loud enough to make out what he was saying. My kids slept through it but I'm a light sleeper. As a mom making this trip without my husband, I felt safe even with half the renters being men here to rebuild the area. Help rebuild the economy and support jobs in a small coastal town! read more

If it were possible, I would give this place zero stars due to the lack of respect shown by the staff. After hours of ridiculous and obnoxious noise from the rooms on either side of mine, the front desk hung up on my call and neglected to address the problem. My room was later filled with the smell of marijuana and cigarette smoke from the neighbors smoking outside near my a/c unit. Since my complaint was not addressed, I attempted to complain in person, but the front office was closed. Upon returning to my room, the conditions became so bad that I resorted to sleeping in my car for the night. The next morning when someone finally arrived at the front desk, I requested a refund for the four days that I had booked. The staff was unapologetic and refused to reimburse me for the night that I spent SLEEPING IN MY CAR. Do not stay here. read more
