We've been camping here for more than 10 years now, finding this a affordable and nice place to…read morestay. You can stay here in a tent, in your caravan, or rent one of the cabins. We enjoy wintertime here with skiing; either cross country (-having trails crossing through the place here!) or alpin downhill. This place is only 8 minutes by car from the alpine resort in Hemsedal, and here is regular ski-buss'es passing by too.Moreover; this is a nice place to stay during summer and autumn when hiking is lovely in the mountains. The place is tidy and quiet, the local river streams by close to the area, offering opportunity to a cold swim or to go fishing. Here is free wifi (though not too easy to get to work from all the places of this area), and a playground with a trampoline, slide and climbing house/tower. Unfortunately the camping restaurant here have not been open for the last 15 years, which could be a nice offer for the guests....and a kiosk offering snacks and magazines too. But there is walking distance to the local grocery store (Kiwi) and a chineese restaurant. I'd like to see a faster renovation and modernization here, but still; it is the most tidy and well organized camping in the valley!

There is not much choice in this area but was just fine for a late lunch if you are busy traveling around this area. If you are looking around to stretch your legs, this has a big parking lot and cute grounds to walk around and see cute painted little cabins. They keep a nice clean place with good food & coffee! I'd definitely stop in again!
