Took our oldest granddaughter to walk the stairs, and get our Jesus on today. As always, such a beautiful sight. The stairs were a little slick, due to the overnight snow, so you have to proceed with caution. It had been an about a year since I had been up here, and it appears that they remodeled the gift shop, and it looks really nice and inviting. It's always so peaceful up here. However lately , the stairs remind me of my age, having to take a break a 3rd of the way up. I remember when I was younger, racing my cousins up the 373 stairs to see who got there first. Now, I just pray I don't run out of energy before I can get to the top. I just keep reminding myself, if Jesus can carry the cross up Mount Calvary, I can most definitely walk up 373 stairs to the top of the shrine.

Beautiful shrine and property not too far from Denver! Wonderful views of the city and nice walk around the different areas as well. Very well maintained.

My family loves coming here when they are visiting and am so glad that Mother Cabrini Shrine is a go to for us. Beautiful and spiritual place to free your mind and find peace. You do not have to be Catholic to come here. There is a gift shop and restrooms. Prayer areas and access to the Holy Water as well as other stations are available too. Surely peaceful and serene and stunning views.

Very beautiful location. I went on a Sunday and it was very busy. Will be back at a different time so that I can do the walk up to the statue of Jesus. I loved reading and learning about Mother Cabrini and her mission.

A Denver native took me here to see the view from the top of the mountain and it was fantastic. We were able to park really close and get in a great workout climbing the stairs. The stairs aren't really shoveled so be careful in winter.

Nov. 2016- A friend recommended visiting the Mother Cabrini Shrine as it's a historic, must see place near the outskirts of Denver. About 30-40min drive landed me up several mountains and on to the entrance of the site. Most of the sights and things are outdoors so bundle up accordingly. I went early afternoon on a weekday of November and it was very sunny and around 20 degrees. The site details the visits of Mother Cabrini during the early 1900s and later establishes a female summer camp. They'd have building activities and farming of live stock. Buildings were later erected such as The Grotto, The Stone House, The Convent. Many statues, stones and trees surround the shrines and at the highest point you can admire the views of the city of Denver at a tiny scale. Very peaceful site rich with history, if you find yourself in the area, this is a must see!

    Beautiful experience!

Wonderful experience will be coming back and the drive was really beautiful! The gift shop looked to be under construction but was still open and they had great service!

I needed a refreshing perspective and this place did just that! Even though it was a bit snowy and icy in spots it accomplished beauty at its finest! Beautiful setting for prayer and reflection. Also meaningful items at a good price in the Gift Shop too.

Very inspirational and picturesque scenery fill you with light hearted whimsy. A quick jaunt to the top of the mountain via the cement staircase you will find a very large statue and a overlook of the entire countryside. Be sure to enjoy a drink of refreshing mountain spring water at the outdoor fountain.

I've always wanted to visit even though I had no idea what it was. Came here for a day retreat and it was amazing. We used one of their conference rooms, it was very comfortable. They prepared us lunch which was quite tasty. The chapel is small, cozy and wonderfully done. The rosary garden was very pretty. The steps up to the Scared Heart of Jesus was a precarious being patchy with snow and ice. Minimal effort was made to clear some of the steps and unfortunately there were sections of the hand rails buried under snow and black ice. It's well worth the trek up even in those conditions. What a view from the top. They have a nice gift shop and clean restrooms. I want to go back as there were other sites there I was unable to get to.

One of the most peaceful and beautiful places I have ever visited, lit a candle and said a prayer, felt peace and comfort come over me.

The search for a place to "belong" . A Family member…read morerecommended this wonderful church. I attended 1.18.26 9a.m. service. As soon as you walk in the door there was an instant sense of Community. Three people within the first minutes were welcoming, excited you are there, which left a feeling of "this is where I want to be". The energetic, live music joyful, the attendees happy. The pastor very charismatic, storytelling explanation teaching The Book of John, from the heart, made you want to learn and know more! Afterward, a chance to sign up for mens/womens groups if you want to fulfill more of the community involvement. Leaving with a sense of 'what a cool place". I am excited to grow with this church, feeling "This is home".

I visited the Flatiron Church - Lafayette campus this past Sunday. The foyer and message were…read moreHollywood movie themed. The service started with solid worship music - thus the two starts and not just one. The message was more of story time than anything out of God's word - the service spent more time playing clips from Shawshank Redemption than focusing on what would actually bring life change to an individual. Even when scripture was mentioned the pastor couldn't take time to elaborate on Gods word but made references to "many more scriptures" rather than directing the congregation to those scriptures. Flatiron Church's Pastor should be reminded of Paul's words in Romans 1:16 "For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile." Remember Pastor, Paul told Timothy to "Preach the Word" - not the movies. Give up the gimmicks and get your congregation back in God's Word. Don't delude your congregation with softball stories that may send some to the gates of hell with a false sense of spiritual identity.

I can't say that I've ever been to a church that is more genuine and welcoming than Scum. The evening service starts off with a time of worship, followed by a community meal, and then onto the teaching segment. The worship band is never "flashy", which adds to the charm and humble nature of this church. Pastor Mike's teaching is from the heart and is easy to understand. Scum's church building is at 9th and Kalamath. It is from the late 1800's and was shut down by Denver's code enforcement. Scum isn't having financial problems as the other reviewer mentioned; but when the city closes your doors after being in a building for a couple of years, then there is a cost of hundreds of thousands of dollars to reopen those doors - yes, there will be some need for donations. Currently services are being held at other locations in Denver. In fact the money that churchgoers give regularly is invested back into the community in the form of homeless outreach, and other neighborhood projects. The staff raises their own support. Like I said at the outset, I love Scum. Every week I drive an hour to attend!
