    I'm here for ODS at the base and I have been here twice the the past week! It's so delicious. Great customer service. Food, can't go wrong. My favorite was the white in time pizza and the chicken and salad. Soooooo so good. The place has decent seating, if high peak time, make a reservation but for the most part, they were able to accommodate. The place is clean and has great open windows in a corner street and you're able to see the water and people watch. Must go here. I sure am going to miss this place.

    We were looking for a quick bite before our Newport ferry departed, and found Mother Pizzeria which is across the street from the Seastreak Ferry dock. They are in a nice looking modern building and boast somewhat of a casual contemporary vibe. We were seated immediately and let our waitress, Abigail, know we need to catch the 5:30 ferry. She told us the pizzas bake for about 3 minutes, and we'd no problem finishing in time. She took our order: Margherita Pizza with meatball and mushroom: $27 Bottle (actually a can - better choice than plastic) Water: $3 The pizza arrived quickly, in less than 10-minutes. It was hot, thin crust and tasty, with large pieces of mushroom and thick slices of meatball. Delicious! Abigail promptly process our check, and we had plenty of time to catch the ferry. We'd be happy to return.

    This is an amazing spot in the heart of Newport's Historic District. The atmosphere is welcoming, warm and swanky. The decor is beautiful and bold. The food is just as deliciously beautiful and bold. Pizza was flat and flavorful and the goat cheese and flat bread was out of this world. Service was friendly and timely. The open kitchen was wonderful.

    Is mother's pizzeria a tourist trap? I wanted to find out on this gorgeous blue bird day. Its smack dab towards the entrance of the touristy part of town. Maybe one of the 1st restaurants that will greet you when you come in. We ordered up a few pizzas and an app. The lobster fritter was pretty darn tasty. Really soft and crispy at the same time. The pizzas were good but not without some issues. We ordered Two white pizzas and a Margherita pizza. The Aw Shucks pizza was way too salty. I also didnt taste too much of that fresh clam on it either. The evoo also over powered everything else. The other white pizza IDKYM I think it was was better but also a bit too salty. The Margherita was great. The crust of the pizza was incredible. It was perfectly cooked and texture was incredible. I will be back to try some other pizzas. Overall glad I stopped in.

    I'm honestly surprised I haven't reviewed Mother Pizzeria yet. I've been here at least three times. They have a good cocktail menu; I've tried the Green Eyes, Doctor Doctor, and the Oaxacan cocktail, and all of them were good. The pickled beets and marinated chickpeas were both delicious. The wood-fired pizzas have been consistently great. I've had the Margherita and the IYKYK, and while both are good, the IYKYK is definitely my favorite. Service has always been excellent. Overall, always a very good experience.

    Very cozy ambience and spacious inside. We ordered the Korean BBQ wings to start - they were excellent. The crispiest wings I've ever had. The marinade/sauce was also very flavorful and the wings were coated with it generously. For our main we had a few pizzas we tried - they were all very flavorful and tasted great. My son had an individual Roman style plain slice, which was also well-flavored with a crispy, fluffy crust. Overall this place was great and we would definitely return.

    Nice, cozy, romantic spot to check out I came with the family, and the vibe was totally mellow and opened to all people. They have some off-the-wall pizza combinations, but they worked. I tried an old-fashioned and it was very good. Not sure why there was a whole leaf in there, but it looked pretty and it did the job as far as taste and potency the wings were super good nice crunch, and a good sauce on them. The pizza was good. The kids loved it. The price is indeed up there this place is not cheap but as an experience, it was a good night. The service was good too overall definitely will be back.

    We finally made it to Mother Pizzeria. First off, our waitress Chelsea was great. Chelsea answered all our questions, we needed some special orders due to cheese and dairy allergies and she listened and explained their process. We ended up with the meatball in sauce appetizer and the Margherita pizza with cheese only on half. Their sour dough thin crust is light and flavorful and the pizza was great. Nice atmosphere and very clean.

    I've had Mother on my list since I saw them on the Yelp Top Places to Eat list. I was attending Winter Fest across the street with my son, so figured it would be the perfect time to check them out. I didn't even think about reservations, but they were definitely on a wait when we arrived for lunch. We decided to go with slices from their counter instead. We did get lucky, because not long after we ordered the counter got slammed as well and was on a wait to get more pizza slices out. They had a special of the day which was buffalo chicken and a pepperoni pizza with blue cheese, and hot honey. Since I highly dislike blue cheese, I went with a classic cheese slide. Honestly, it was so freaking good. The crust was awesome, the dough was flavorful, and the cheese was perfect. The slice area is tight, so we had to eat outside on the picnic table. Don't recommend this since it was like 30 degrees and windy, but we made it work. It was still a beautiful view! I look forward to heading back in and making a reservation next time.

    Great spot to stop for a meal. It's so nice inside, very open and you can see the chefs cooking in the big pizza oven. The pizza was great. We did the 'white on time' on gluten free crust, which was just as good as the regular sourdough crust. The only negatives were the drinks, no one liked the drinks they ordered, they just didn't taste right.

    Monday lunch - friendly and attentive staff, quick service. Delicious salad and was a good portion size to share for us two. The pizza with hot honey and pepperoni was tasty but wish the bottom of the pie at the center wasn't so soggy!

Every time we come here the service is excellent and the food is amazing. This is what we come for right? Outstanding food and service! This year was no different than the other years and I love how the menu continues to evolve and change and everything that comes to life from the menu to the table is well thought out and bursting with harmonious blends of flavor. The presentation is gorgeous too! Plating is also important and they nail it! Okay let's gooooo! Come join our dining experience! We tried a bit of everything! We loved every bit of it. I'll mention my faves but that doesn't take away how hard it was to choose a fave! Everything was DELICIOUS ! Raw bar: Jamestown oysters . We had 10. We can't get enough east coast oysters. We live in the west side and I cannot say enough how much better oysters are on east coast! Slurp ! Mmm! Snacks: 1. Shartner's Farm Carrots: pea green pesto, pine nut, n'duja . If you're a meat, potato and pasta person and try to avoid your veggies, don't do that here. GET IT! It's such a great melody of textures and flavors that pair well. It doesn't feel like you are eating carrots and regardless it's a very dressed up bougie delicious carrot plate ! Mmmm . One of my faves out of the snacks. 2. Narragansett Creamery Burrata: green strawberry, speck, basil. Creamy, vibrant and just delicious Pasta: only had room in our tummies for 1 but every year we try different pastas and never disappoints. This year no exception. Maltagliati- hopkins southdowns lamb sugo, swiss chard, harissa, umbrian chickpea. Excellent! Pasta was perfect texture and consistency!! Little touch of spice from harissa which I loved (not overpowering). The Swiss chard was cooked to a crispy texture which I loved. I was a bit nervous about the lamb because it really can vary from place to place. However, I should have known better being from here they cooked/braised it to perfection: melt in your mouth type of soft and no weird or gamey taste. Definitely delicious pasta I recommend. Plates: 1. Duck Leg Confit- japanese turnip, spigariello kale, huckleberry conserva, duck jus. Personally my faves of the two plates but both delicious. The crispy skin from the duck and tender flavorful duck meat was just to die for. Loooooved. Plus the turnips and the amazing huckleberry conserva! Thinking about it makes my mouth water. So so good. 2. Beef Short Rib-swiss chard erbazzone, sunchoke, hazelnut. Loved it. Tasty as expected. Great flavor and tender. Dessert: 1. Olive Oil Cake- strawberry, rosé, lime curd, basil gelato. Wow! Oh wow! I'm so happy this time around they have some cake options. I love olive oil cake and now to pair with a basil gelato sounds insane right? Holy cow! Soooo good! Not what I was expecting. Strawberry, rose, lime and basil gelato flavor all work well together in this dessert. My fave dessert of the night! TRY IT! 2. Cookies N' cream: narragansett creamery ricotta, chocolate biscotti- yummy! Tasted like an elevated cookies and cream ! We loved our experience! Hopefully when you visit here, you can enjoy it as much as we do year after year. I absolutely love this place. Food is beyond excellent and is a place you have to stop by and visit while in Newport.

I couldn't decide between little neck clams and the rabbit tagliatelle and she brought the clams as a surprise. They were HANDS DOWN the best I've ever had. She really made my night. The pasta was also incredible. My selections were favorites of the table. A dinner companion ordered a steak but it was a little over cooked but the manager Rory went above and beyond taking care of us. I'm not sure what they do to make the most perfect French fries but hands down I've never had one like this. Figure out a way to order them. The Can't Elope cocktail was the best I had in Newport. It was balanced, refreshing and all around perfection. We also loved the Paper Tiger! Finished with a sticky toffee pudding that was a star of the meal. I wish I wasn't so full or I would have finished it I cannot recommend this restaurant enough 5 stars.

Nestled in the Wharf, it was a cute little place with both an up and downstairs. We reserved a spot for around 5:30 (in April) and it was pretty open. There weren't too customers yet, and it was nice and quiet. If you're looking for a ton of space for the seating area, I will say that there isn't too much room/it's pretty nice and cozy! At Wharf Southern Kitchen and Whiskey Bar, they've got a line of booths along the wall, a bar area right in the center and at the actual bar, a high top, another bar at one of the entrances, and a table that seats six. Now let's chat about the service. Our waitress was wonderful, patient, and was extremely helpful when asked questions and also gave SUCH wonderful suggestions. There were MANY fantastic choices on their menu and I was having a pretty difficult time narrowing down which one I really wanted, but with our waitress's help, I was able to choose pretty quickly (and they were AMAZING choices!) Now the food! The wait for the food honestly wasn't that long, and when we got it, we ABSOLUTELY CHOWED... -The Crispy Chicken Bites were AMAZING! I ended up upgrading to the Buffalo Style, and it DID NOT disappoint at all! The Bleu Cheese crumbles were just the perfect amount, and the Buffalo sauce was JUST enough to still enjoy the crispiness of the chicken. I DID ask for ranch on the side, and that just was *chef's kiss*! -I've never had fried pickles before, but I certainly have never seen a restaurant do it with whole pickles. Though it was my first time trying fried pickles, it tasted great! I wouldn't say it's anything special, but it's a great, and lighter on the fried side, appetizer! -I was having a hard time choosing what entree to enjoy, but I'M SOOOO glad that I went with the Smoked Brisket Chopped Cheese! I'm not a big brisket girl, but I will say that this was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! At first when it came out on the bun, I was a little skeptical of how it would taste, but it definitely didn't disappoint! The brisket was cooked SO well with the perfect amount of seasoning, and it all just melted so perfectly together as I was eating it. And the tater tots were SO AMAZING (though on the saltier side) and SO perfectly crispy. I've only got great things to say about Wharf Southern Kitchen & Whiskey Bar & I WILL be back here/will suggest it to my friends visiting Newport one day!
