I was given a number through St. John's Mercy to ask for charity. It turns out the topical ointment that he prescribed again is not covered by Medicare and so when I called his office to explain that I had a follow up in four weeks and was unable to start any of the treatments that he recommended I was told by his assistant nurse Jennifer that he would be unable to offer alternative treatments so unless I came out of pocket for said treatments I could go ahead and cancel my follow up. Now I'm a realistic person and I'm sure there's other medication that can be prescribed instead of the latter and for Christ's sake if you are an "orthopedic Surgeon " maybe you have some printouts with leg exercises that you can give to patients to take home! Horrible bed side manor, I thought these guys took an oath to help all sick people.... not just the rich ones that they can juice their insurance companies for bullshit treatments and for sure not have to wait 3+ months to get paid by Medicaid/ health net! One line item on the bill was "anal destruction"? The cost of the services was only part of the problem. He went to the clinic for hemmroid treatment. During the procedures the doctor and his assistants made inappropriate comments. Also, he was given no explanation about the procedure which was painful and questionable to say the least. I addition, he had zero improvement from the "treatments". I researched Dr. Abbadessa and found out that he was unable to practice or prescribe medicine in several states. I would NOT recommend Dr. Branham to anyone after the two recent experiences I had with him. After…read morea consultation in Oct 2022 for a philtrum lip lift I scheduled the surgery and he did it in May 2023. From the beginning I made it very clear to him that I wanted my philtrum not only shortened but my vermilion border fuller. Immediately after the surgery I could tell he did not do what I had asked. He took out very little skin in the philtrum and under my nostrils. In my checkup appointment 7 days after the surgery I expressed to him I was not happy with the results of the surgery as it was not what we had talked about. I made an appointment that day for a revision. I went back Sept 29th and he did the surgery a second time. As he was stitching me up he said "ok, your vermillion border is at the middle of your canine teeth, I'm not going to pull it up anymore." When he handed me the mirror afterwards I noticed immediately that it was NOT at the middle of my canine teeth. It was still at the bottom. He lied. Not wanting to argue with him I left displeased. A week later I went back for my post op checkup and told him it was not at the middle of my canine teeth like he had told me. All he could say was "well I thought it was." Yes, that was his lame response. So once again after TWO SURGERIES he did not take enough skin out from under my nostrils like I specifically asked multiple times. What is even more upsetting is, now after these two surgeries my vermilion border is actually thinner than it was to start with because he has pulled up my cupids bow and not taken enough skin out from under my nostrils. It's been a month since my surgery and now I'm suffering from stitch abscesses because it took the moron over 20 minutes just to stitch me up. It didn't take him nearly that long the first time. It actually hurt because he put too many stitches in and pulled them way too tight. Now they aren't dissolving (see pic below). I had to go to another doctor to get Clindamycin antibiotic to heal the abscesses. This whole fiasco has been a complete nightmare and a waste of my time and money. Dr. Branham should not be allowed to touch anyones face! He will tell you what you want to hear just to get your money, and then he will do as he wishes, not as you want. He needs to go back to medical school and learn how to stitch a wound. If you're considering him I would look elsewhere for a plastic surgeon.

They gave me no (ZERO) pre-op information, which actually left me guessing at where to go and at what time on the day of the procedure. All I knew was "Mercy" because I asked. No meds, no paperwork, no directions on what to stop taking. Now, if you've ever had plastic surgery this is very out of the norm. They are also quite unorganized on payment. They did not respond to my emails about payment or seem to keep track of the consult payment I had made. Maybe this is because he is retiring soon, I'm not sure, but I would recommend him for scar revision, just don't expect the level of care you get at most plastic surgeons.
