This is the worst fucking school of all time. Teachers (from my experienc) seem to actually care, but the support and administrative/security faculty is absolutely TERRIBLE. Good luck finding support, good luck easily navigating anywhere on their website, good luck calling the school without getting spoken to disrespecfully and transferred 3 times, and good luck not getting brushed off. They definitely hire people off of the street, because everytime I call, no matter what extension, they always have an attitude and are rude without fail. In 27 years I have never had a single positive interaction with this school. As a potential student I found their financial aid department incompetant so I went elsewhere and it doesn't seem to have improved since. You make an appointment with a councelor and wait an hour cause they went to lunch. I've been trying to get ahold of the person in charge of the C.A.R.E.S Act for weeks and she never replies to emails or phone calls. They make you take classes that seem to have no point except to squeeze more money from you. Finally, they make it difficult to transfer credits to another school cause their graduation rate stinks. this school is trash. I have had to cuss out many admissions reps they are super rude I'm trying to start classes and have been trying to do so for about two months now it is very obvious the staff just want they coins it's just a job but honestly it's flint nothing more to expect. I took a placement test did everything they asked just to keep getting pushed back or them tell me nothing is available then why have me do a placement test and say call tomorrow for the results to not have been uploaded and I've called 6 times since tomorrow which was 7 days ago. My 18 months at Mott has been a nightmare. Administration wise they don't know what they're doing. My teachers and courses were extremely nice and helpful however my academic advisor I never met, and she put me in three different classes that were not needed. Wasted my time and my funding. When you reach out to anyone in the administration for help they are extremely rude like the bookstore two different times put my order under the wrong aid and when I called in for help the second time with placing the order so it didn't happen again the lady literally refused to help me with my order. I had a teacher that I could not reach the entire class. This school is a joke. read more

A very poorly run college. The Autopsy Assistant Certificate Program, The Histology Associate, and The 4-H Blue Ribbon Associate in Husbandry are all very new programs. This reason for the program status, per the Teaching Staff of each respected program, is due to the Conditional status of Accreditation, or I should say, Lack Thereof the appropriate Accrediting body to acknowledge the validity of the new programs. So, before you matriculate into any of the aforementioned programs of study, insider this; A Certificate and or Associate Degree in any of those fields of study will yield nothing but student loan debt. The Certificates and Associates affiliated with said programs are virtually worthless at this point. These are the only curriculum that I have had intimate knowledge about their weight as far as other subjects concentrated on at Mott CC. Since I have began working in the Admissions Office here, I have been gently reminded that I am to mention none of this to any potential students. This is a fair warning to all who applies here, AVOID THOSE SUBJECTS LISTED ABOVE. read more

Mott is an outstanding two year college. It will refine your skills and prepare you to go to a four year university. You can get two-year degrees or certifications. The tuition is low and the credits transfer to other colleges. I and my children have gone to this college and our GPA(s) are 3.7 to a 4.0 at total different Universities. If you want your child to have a good start, learn at a small college, prepare to go on to a bigger college, get a two-year degree or certificate, develop skills that would prepare them for life, Mott College is where you want to go. read more

Mott Community College - MCC - Colleges & Universities Near Me - Flint, Michigan

I took a few classes here, but did not graduate from Mott, like many people who used it as a springboard to something bigger and better. The campus is safe and close-knit. The classes were better than I thought they would be. The psychology department is phenomenal. The only sore spot is the lack of student life, but Mott is a community college, so I don't care about it enough to say it detracts from the school. I had a few really good professors before I left for bigger and better things, but I will always look back on it with fondness. Don't look down on Mott, it is a nice community college featuring undergrads of all ages and backgrounds. They cater to the student and do their best to help you succeed in life. Parking is a pain, as somebody else pointed out, but the library is nice and Applewood Cafe is amazing. Affordable tuition for the student paying their own way. read more

This school is very hard to take seriously. Which is also why a number of their Degrees are worthless. Before Covid-19 it was so difficult to get in and speak to an advisor. I ended up graduating from this school which I highly regret because my "technical social work degree" is virtually worthless and was a waste of time. The instructors here are also awful and you can clearly tell they simply just want a paycheck with minimal amount of work involved. When I did attend classes here before it went virtual the school was always dirty and they had to close some wings of the building off a few times due to bedbugs. It also took me 3 years to complete a 2 year degree because not once, but twice classes got canceled on me right before the semester began because there was not enough students enrolled to hold the class. I suggest going anywhere but here. I could list a number of things but two major ones are They let their student employees treat people pretty poorly and parking is absolutely terrible. read more
