I used ChatGPT and Google and luckily found Villa's Landscape Maintenance. I say I was lucky, because there are many businesses, both large and small, in the Medford area. Who to try? I called the number for Villa's and left a message. Shortly after, they called me back and said they could be by my house. at the end of the work day. I told as kept appraised of their eta by text and they were right on time. After giving me a very reasonable estimate, right there on the spot, I was told that they'd look at their schedule and get back to me. How surprised I was the next day! Villa's was able to send a 4 man crew to do the work the next day! Saturday! In no time, the hedge was trimmed and cleaned up and the large shrubs removed. Beautiful work! I was so happy and relieved to have this job taken care of by true professionals. Villa's was polite, respectful of our property and the neighbors' property, removed all cuttings and debris, and spent time answering my questions about future needs. If I don't end up having them do regular maintenance, I certainly will be calling at summer's end for fall pruning! I highly recommend!

I told him when he got his facts straight and his details together, he could call me back and then I hung up. So when Miguel contacted me and said "he said you hung up on him." Yes, I did that because he was not prepared when he called me, to give me the estimate I was requesting. He was very unprofessional and wasting my time. You'd be better off hiring a ten year old. To start off with, here's a quote from Affordable Lawn Care's website, which has a bright gold 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed sticker at the bottom of it. "We pay distinctive attention to detail and always strive for outstanding customer service." Well, I'm gonna take a little issue with that. When the current owner bought Affordable Lawn Care, he inherited my elderly parents' account. They pay $150/mo to have someone show up every other week to mow, blow, edge and remove their clippings. For the past month, my parents have been complaining that they don't believe anybody has actually shown up to do any work. At first I thought my mom was just complaining to have something to complain about, but then while visiting a few weekends ago, I looked around the yard and saw that there was some pretty high/grass in places. Like maybe somebody did a fly-by with a weed eater. But honestly, it was the kind of job I'd expect out of a ten year old. And to be even more honest, it was the kind of job I'd go out and make the ten year old do over if that kid expected to be paid. And not $150. I called the company to inquire about whether they just forgot, or if their crew needed more guidance, but the response I was hoping for wasn't what I expected. I thought they'd hear me, check it out, fix it, apologize, and try to make sure they 'pay distinctive attention to detail' in the future. Nope. A week later I hadn't heard back from the guy who was going to check things out. And by that time I'd been back to visit my parents again and saw that the weeds were just taller. This time I took photos, and sent them to the company, offering that the photos really speak for themselves. When my concerns were relayed to owner Danny Acrey, he had his secretary call me back with some suggestions. 1: My parents could start paying double and have them come every week from now on. (So you want us to pay DOUBLE for more crappiness?) 2: Because they're so nice, they'd allow my parents to stop using their service altogether without the month's notice they typically require. Whatever, dude. I made a few suggestions of my own: 1: Send your guys back, have them do the job they were contracted to do.....and maybe make up for the fact that they haven't been doing a complete job for quite a while, by maybe doing a little extra. 2: Call my mother and apologize. The next time the secretary called me, it was to inform me that they would be terminating their service immediately (what...no month's notice?), wouldn't be coming back to fix the job they hadn't done, and BONUS they planned to invoice my parents for the work they didn't do. And then they threatened to send them to collections if they didn't pay. One of my high school classmates also hired this company, and caught one of the crew peeing in his yard. Guess that must be how Affordable Lawn Care fertilizes your plants. Don't say I didn't warn you.
