Do not use this ATM or credit union!!! I wanted $20 bills for a tip and their ATM does not let you select what bills you get. So it gave me $100 and when I went inside to see if they could exchange they wouldn't let me because I am not a customer. There should be a warning on what type of currency you will receive - I would have gone somewhere else if I had known. Now I have to find a place that will let me change a $100. I have been a member of Mountain America Credit Union for 45 years My credit rating is in the 800's, and I have a low debt ratio, with a paid off house, and two years ahead of my car payment. I was notified today that Mountain America is cancelling my credit card, for no reason that was stated. I will of course transfer my banking to another facility. read more

Negative stars if I could! We made a business deposit at Mountain America drive through ATM in Holladay, Utah. Swiped the business card, entered the PIN, deposited cash. Received a receipt for the amount deposited. Drove down the road and noticed that on the receipt, the deposit went into an account number that was not correct. Stopped at the nearest branch to alert them of the ATM mistake, and they accused me of lying. The ATM in Holladay had no record of my card swipe. They refused to check the ATM cameras or bank cameras. I filed for an investigation and told them that their ATM was faulty. They did not close the ATM. Later that same day, Mountain America called to tell me to go Deseret Credit Union and ask them for my deposit! We have no account there and can't understand how Mountain America's ATM routed our deposit there and did not register our card swipe. This is criminal. If we had stolen money from the bank, we would be arrested. Meanwhile, Mountain America's ATM has stolen our money. And the staff is not returning our missing funds. Thieves! I had to have my Visa card replaced because my account had been compromised, better safe than sorry according to the credit agencies. I visited MACU to explain my situation and they said it would be no problem replacing the card. No fee was ever mentioned being that I was a long-time customer and a senior. After business hours they charged my Visa $5.00 for the replacement card. What gives MACU the right to place an unauthorized charge on my Visa. If I would have opened a new account they would have given me $100. This is how they treat their existing customers. They're becoming just like Wells Fargo! read more

Couple days ago had bank account hacked and fraudulent charges started showing up in the beginning Mountain America was very helpful. Taking all the charges that were overdraft fees on, things that I myself had already stopped before.So all of a sudden more charges start coming in as fraudulent again. Called Mountain America told them that it's still happening and they help me out.It took a very long time to explain what I think is going on. One more charge did come through that was totally fraudulent this time trying to explain it it became difficult for them to do anything for me basically I always like to do things to myself. Something happens I call I make sure that whoever these people are taking charges off my account will stop and cease before legal action is taken and cops are called. it's a hassle to do that by yourself with no help but I do it. But here's the thing I'm going to all this trouble and all they have to do is just press a button to fix it on their side and they make it like it's your fault and it's not no matter what. Plus it's kind of weird to be charged $25 for overdraft charges when nothing is taken out ensure for each person that gets charged this and I'm pretty sure it happens a lot but they don't need to charge that much for the programming that is used for this to stop that from happening but it is what it is I guess. read more

But Danny and Brandy were amazing in assisting me. They explained everything to me so simply and clearly that it didn't feel stressful at all! The phone number listed here on Yelp and on a "Siri" search, is going only to a loan officer, and many times only goes to her voice mail, so it's hard to get any other info. They need to change it back to the Main phone number. read more

This review is for the 4900 Highland Drive Branch in Holladay. Since they don't seem to want to be listed on Yelp, and I can see why. The Murray Holladay branch is not any better. Long Writeup, but worth the read. I recently moved to SLC and my bank does not have branches here, therefore I have to go to other banks ATM's. I went to the 4900 Highland branch ATM to withdraw 300.00 from the ATM, instead of giving me my money, it gave me a receipt and it stated it was unable to complete my transaction. Now, I go home to pull up my account info and MACU pulled 302.50 from my account!!. Even though I did not get my money from the ATM, it was still deducted from my bank. I went to the Murray Holladay road branch on Saturday because the Highland branch was closed OF COURSE and told them the situation, they then pawned me off and told me I needed to go into the Highland branch on Monday and that they can help me since it was their ATM. Monday morning I went into the highland branch and told them the situation, a (nice) lady by the name of "Karen" was not able to provide any help for me at all because it was MY banks problem and that I needed to contact them to get my money. WHY?? This was the ATM of the Mountain America, NOT my bank. If you are not a customer of MACU, DO NOT USE THEIR ATM. Now I have to wait for my bank to get the money back from these frauds. I wonder if I can go after them for the interest while they hold MY money?? This bank is a big fraud to the extreme. They will not help you nor do they care. Of course they were quick to remove my truthful Facebook posts since they didn't want this to be known, but I like to see them remove this. The truth hurts, so MACU, you better get with the program and start treating customers better, including those who may be potential customers. My advice is bank with Chase, WF, BofA or if your looking for a credit union, try Americas First, maybe they will treat you better then these clowns.
