The staff is very helpful and courteous with the entire process. I informed them about my family's concerns with cost etc. and we were provided a list of options and price points and were not pressured at any point in the process. Because we went through True hearing we were able to get the Oticon OPN 1 hearing aid with rechargable batteries so we won't be changing out batteries all the time, and it is the best model available! The retail for these is $7k+ but since we went through true hearing it was knocked down to $4350! What was even better is they offer 12 months no interest! What is more important than the hearing aids is that this audiologist performed true ear measures. Only 30% of audiologists perform true ear measures and if she had not performed them we would have went elsewhere. I did not realize real ear measures we're more important than the hearing aids until I did some research and realized a good audiologist and real ear measures is the most important factor. We made an appointment and were able to get in very quickly. The office staff was very friendly and welcoming. We had the hearing test, and were told exactly where my husband to hearing was. All of our questions were answered. We were even shown a consumer report which indicated that Miracle Ear was one of the top rated hearing aids. We were educated about the "channels" that many other hearing aids do not offer. My husband can hear so well with these hearing aids. The old hearing aids were terrible in movie theaters. The new ones are so good that he can even hear when our air conditioning comes on. He can hear rain on our rooftop. The hearing aids are so adjustable, that you can literally zoom in on a person directionally. This is so helpful. My husband feels like his hearing is normal. The hearing aids are comfortable and do exactly as we were told they would do. I went in to just have a baseline hearing test done. Not only did I get the results of my hearing, but I now know how important it is to have that test ahead of time. Then I can have subsequent hearing tests that will track any potential problems. The staff here are so good, so friendly and educated. They take the time to explain in Laymans terms what they are doing and what is going on. Overall, they are pleasant on the phone and do have walk-in appointments. They try and fit you in…read morewhere they can. My issues all start with the appointment. They are more about billing than patient care. In my case, I had blood work done and waited three days before calling and then sending an email to get them to put up the results. They do not return calls or make an effort to call in prescriptions in a timely manner. I had bloodwork done and the nurse has not done anything and won't look at it till next week. This is a first for me. Typically at my other Doctor the whole process is completed in the same day or by the next day. As it is, I am still waiting..... The phlebotomist completely banged up one arm trying to get blood and I had to tell her to stop before she collapsed a vein. I had her use the other arm. I am healthy, but would be leery to rely on HMG if I had urgent health issues. At one time, I went in and they wouldn't perform the visit saying medical wouldn't cover it. I know they would as I have full medical, but I realized they are about billable treatment not patient care. You are a commodity not a patient. They are the McDonalds of medical care. This whole process I have been working at for a few months and am still without what should have taken two days. I would not recommend HMG as a medical provider.
