My wife, oldest son and I picked-up a large Everest Pizza yesterday and brought it over to enjoy with friends of ours. We typically go to the Mountain Mike's in Milpitas, but our friends live close to the Fremont restaurant. The pizza was ready in a timely manner. The restaurant was fairly busy. Several customers seemed to be enjoying their pizza and salad bar. Others were enjoying pizza. The noise level was pretty quiet, since the customers were watching the World Cup on the large screen TV's. read more

Got about $128 order delivered but they forgot the 2l bottle of soda so we started eating with nothing to drink. He said he'd come back with the soda in 5 mins. 20 minutes later he turns up with 3 500ml bottles instead. I said he was supposed to bring the 2l bottle and that 3 x 500ml didn't equal 2l. This review is about the lunch buffet offering at this store... we have to say that our experience was excellent, certainly far different than some of the critical reviews here. We got here at noon on Tuesday. There was a very satisfying variety of pizzas available, and everything was fresh and delicious looking (check out my attached images); salad bar had a generous selections of options available, all quite fresh; they had a rich blue cheese dressing with lots of chunks, very tasty. They even had a superb desert pizza, with apples, cinnamon and crunch topping; I've never had a pizza like that before, it was lovely! The lady who was working there was out continuously, keeping everything filled, replacing pizza items as they were consumed, keeping the salad bar maintained. When people got up from their tables, she immediately was there, cleaning everything up; the entire business was clean and well maintained... Yeah, the price is a bit high, at $18/person, but frankly that is pretty typical of buffets in the post-covid era. It definitely will not prevent us from going back! read more

I've ordered over 100 Mountain Mike's pizzas and it's always the same: small Everest with mushrooms substituted for pineapples. In the past this order could be placed either over the phone or online by noting the customization in the comment box. And this substitution was always free of charge. Tonight however I discovered their online order page had changed. Topping customization can be done directly on the page now without writing a comment but substitution is not facilitated. You can only remove or add toppings, not substitute one for another. Adding a topping comes with a $2 charge whether or not you remove one. So I tried ordering over the phone but the worker taking the order didn't seem to understand what I meant by substitution. They only understood that I didn't want mushrooms but I did want pineapples added. I placed the order anyway and decided to see what I was charged. To my great annoyance, they charged me for an "additional" topping in swapping the mushrooms for pineapples. I complained about this to the worker and after some effort got them to try to change the bill but somehow they failed. If you're going to charge $21 for a small pizza, substituting one ordinary topping for another should not come with a charge. Their determination to extract an additional $2 for this substitution just cost Mountain Mike's a 20+ year customer. I hope this business is happy to have that $2 instead of the thousands of dollars I might have spent over the coming decades. read more

After being in the area for so long, this is the first time I've ever gone inside. The employee was really nice. It was for as school fundraiser and I thought we'd have to wait awhile, but they were pretty quick. About 20 minutes for 2 large pizzas. The place is pretty big but with covid it's basically empty. Parking is decent but the center can get busy. I thought the pizza was pretty good, but if your stomach is sensitive to grease, just be aware that the pizza is going to have a bunch of grease. Walking up I noticed it was very clean around the business. As I entered you can clearly see they have taken all precautions for social distancing. I ordered on the web site and set the time I would pick up. I did have to wait longer than the pick up time and that is the cause for the loss of a star. Besides that everyone was nice and the food tasted great. We ordered chicken wings and bread sticks on this visit. We all enjoyed the food. I love MMs and indulge multiple times whenever I have to travel so ive been to many different locations and this one just made my entire week with my perfectly made order!! I cross checked my card receipt and confirmed the address on the charge with the business. Couple of strange things - no one offered if I wanted to order onsite and wait ( something you won't if you never wanted to serve the order in first place). It's been awhile since I had good pizza due to shelter in place. I did a phone in order which included a small Robber Roost and mini pepperoni pizza plus 6 piece boneless BBQ wings. When I went to pick up my order, it was ready and didn't have to wait, which was awesome! My mom and I throughly enjoyed the pizza. The mild wings were tasty, doused in plenty of buffalo sauce which puddled at the bottom, so I could dip for more flavor. The garlic parmesan wings were okay, but not as good as I remember, especially with the parmesan lacking. It's like they sprinkled the parmesan on a couple pieces on top and neglected the others. I generally go for the chicken plus biscuit combo and more often than not, finish the biscuit in the car while driving back home. When they are out of biscuits or if I want more than 4 pieces of chicken, I go for the 8 piece chicken and I have to say it is an unbeatable deal for 8 pieces of hand breaded chicken plus taxes at less than 20 bucks. Yes, the cajun seasoning can sometimes get a tad too salty, but generally, they really nail the flavor at this location. The chicken is always fresh here and they do sometimes run out of chicken, which means you'll need to wait to get piping hot chicken; otherwise service is generally super fast. Also, love their newly redesigned kruch boxes which let the steam out and help keep the chicken really krispy and krunchy.

Since I was already driving there, I went in person and saw an employee standing at the register, which made the lack of response even more frustrating. When I placed my order, I requested Tom Kha soup with mushrooms only, but was told that was not possible and that I had to choose either vegetables or shrimp. I explained that mushrooms were the only vegetable I wanted in the soup, but I was still told no. I then ordered spicy eggplant with ground chicken and two jasmine rice. After I paid for my order, I realized I wanted extra eggplant and went back to the counter to add it. I specifically told the employee that I was happy to pay the additional charge. Despite having just placed and paid for my order moments earlier, I was told they could not add extra eggplant because the kitchen was closing. The biggest issue came when I received my food. I specifically ordered spicy eggplant with ground chicken, but the dish was made with sliced chicken instead. When I brought it back, one employee initially insisted that this was how the dish came. Another employee then acknowledged that I had, in fact, ordered ground chicken. After speaking among themselves, they returned and asked if I would simply keep the incorrect order because they could not remake it. When I declined, they agreed to issue a refund. However, during the refund process, I was shocked when an employee named nat, shut her hair in a ponytail, asked for the condiments back because I was no longer taking the food. We are talking about a small container of sauce and a few jalapeño slices. In all my years of dining out, I have never had a restaurant ask for complimentary condiments back after making a mistake on an order. What was most disappointing was the complete lack of customer service. There was no apology for the unanswered phone calls, the incorrect order, or the inconvenience. Instead, I was met with attitude and indifference throughout the interaction. To make matters worse, employees were already mopping the floors while numerous customers were still dining inside. I personally almost slipped on the wet floor. The staff clearly saw customers walking through the area, yet the floors were being mopped before customers had even finished their meals, creating an unnecessary safety hazard. I also witnessed several customers being turned away despite arriving before the posted closing time, while there were still many customers seated and eating inside the restaurant. It appeared that staff were more focused on closing and leaving than serving customers during their posted business hours. Finally, when I asked for a copy of my refund receipt after accidentally handing mine back, I was told they could not print another one. Instead, an employee handed me the restaurant's copy of the refund receipt and instructed me to take a picture of it with my phone. Mistakes happen in every business. What matters is how they are handled. Unfortunately, this experience was marked by poor communication, lack of professionalism, and a complete absence of customer care. I hope the owner sees this review because they deserve to know how customers are being treated. For anyone looking for excellent Thai food and outstanding customer service, I highly recommend New Krungthai Restaurant. They have been consistently wonderful, their food is excellent, and they have always treated me with kindness and respect. They have earned my business for years to come, and I will gladly continue supporting them. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will be taking my business there instead.
