Very disappointed. With the hype and price of this place, yet they fell flat! I had my in-laws in town and it was the 1st time my father in-law had had pizza in years, so we didn't mind splurging on what was supposed to be really good pizza. Only to have a huge under cooked pizza that no one wanted to eat raw dough. We got the biggest pizza they offer and it went in the trash. The bread sticks were the only good part. Tried them another time and it was over cooked burnt pizza and under cooked garlic knots and dry as heck over cooked boneless chicken wings. Which was very disappointing as at first the wings were my favorite even though they were overpriced. Tried the potato wedges and they tasted freezer burnt.The 1st few times I went it was good, but something must have changed as it been all down hill since like April, must be some changes in management and not for the better. Hard pass, can't recommend this location! If you do go, stick to the salad bar. No issues there. read more

I've had Mountain Mike's while living in CA and was super excited to see this location open near my house. The pizza is FRIGGIN AMAZINGGG, as always! Snowy Alps is my favorite - you can't beat the creamy garlic sauce. The cheesy garlic sticks are phenomenal too, served with creamy, high-quality ranch. Yes, it is expensive, but it's gourmet pizza (2 small pizzas, 1 medium pizza, and breadsticks came out to about $100 for delivery through Uber Eats, before tip.) Room for improvement and reasons for missing star: 1. Very long wait for pizza. It took about 1.5hrs to receive our delivery. 2. When the pizza arrived, it was barely warm. :( Our delivery driver came straight from the restaurant so it wasn't sitting around for that long either. Let's start by saying, Mountain Mikes is a great addition to the food scene here in Surprise... I'm going to go as far as saying may be the best pizza here in Surprise at this time. The salad bar was not bad at all.. all the topping were fresh and crispy.. the veg, mushroom, bell pepper, and all the other toppings were on point Got the pizza and wings... The pizza was very tasty.. just like my experience up in Northern California - the pizza was very good.. came out nice and hot. the crust was nice, the pepperoni was a great flavor as well as the sausage. the wings were very good, kind of small but good... with ranch.. the ranch was nice and creamy! very good overall, giving it a 5 star.. we will be back for more! read more

It was everything we remembered and everything we expected from Mountain Mike's. Salad bar was fresh, clean and plenty of options. The pizza was a perfectly prepared thin crust. The pepperoni was crisp at the ends, the sausage was a perfect proportion, and the vegetables fresh. A minor issue with our order was quickly resolved. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We've had a lot of bad pizza since moving to AZ, and we were so happy to see a Mountain Mikes open. It definitely met our expectations. Heard of this new place and their lunch buffet. It was horrible. Not putting out enough pizza for their customers. The pizza is all dough and minimal cheese/toppings. No sauce, very dry. It's apparent they use bagged lettuce as it looked rotted. Sneeze guard is for kid sized people as you have to squat in an awkward position to be able to reach the middle and back selections. Best Pizza in Surprise! Hands down the best service and Pizza around. I've been to every pizza place in Surprise and it's by far my favorite. Thick crust is light and airy and cooked perfectly. .They're new so slow. The pizza was good, but the sauce was, meh. Lots of fresh toppings that were really good for sub-par sauce. I enjoyed my pizza otherwise. You have options like create your own or specialty like meat lovers. They have cute names that are on theme. It's family style seating with a sports bar type of feel. They do serve beer and had a nice selection on tap. I'll try again after they've ironed out kinks and definitely recommend others give it a try. I would give a 3.5 star but it wasn't an option. I have had MM pizza several times, and their pizza buffet twice once with my wife and once with my elderly father. The pizza is fantastic, and the buffet is a great deal!! The buffet includes several types of pizza, including a dessert pizza, garlic knots, and their salad bar. The employees are very attentive but not intrusive. Pleasant staff. The placed was empty except for one table at 12:30, so that should have been a clue that this was not a good idea. I proceeded with the $14.99 lunch buffet. There was old pizza under the hear lamps. I took a slice of cheese and a slice of sausage and bacon.They were both inedible. 95% of frozen pizzas taste better. I took a bite of eat and spit them out. Cold and flavorless. Then, I tried the salad bar. Not to be nitpicky, but due to the "sneeze shield" I couldn't reach the last row of items. I'm 5'7", so I'm no shrimp! The ingredients were fair, but truly nothing special. There is nothing yummy about this place. Another franchised food chain in Surprise selling lower than mediocre quality food. Enough with these chains that are not worth the time it takes you to park your car and walk in. This desert landscape has very little to offer in terms of quality food. Pizza was very good loved that the bottom crust was crunchy and the rest was soft. Great flavor. Food did take a little long but lucky there was a salad bar. The garlic nots however were so disappointing...very dry, flavorless and somewhat burnt. I tell them yes we are waiting on everything still.. they had no idea what our order was so they go and say they will get it made.. make a bunch of excuses no apologies or refund or discount or explanations for what happened just told us it's coming then found out from the lady helping us it hadn't even been made. Very unimpressed and disappointed in something that we all thought was going to be awesome. This experience wasn't what anyone expected. My husband is a pizza fanatic (we're from NY), and he decided to take our equally pizza-loving grandson to the Surprise restaurant for lunch, while I was at work. He purchased 2 pies, and he couldn't say enough about how bad they were - even the little guy wouldn't eat more than part of one slice - it was unbelievably salty, like someone accidentally dropped a ton of salt into the sauce, and it was burnt. My husband is never one to complain, but like most other people we work hard for our money & it's painful to have wasted it on inedible food. Well beyond disappointing, this was a travesty. They have perfectly sized slices with curled crispy pepperonis that add a delicious crunch with every bite. Overpriced. We had a large pizza and 2 fountain drinks and our bill was $42. We could have over looked the high price if the pizza had been good ... it wasn't. The crust was so hard we couldn't cut it with a knife. I don't know what was up with the sauce but it tasted sweet. The toppings were sparse. Usually we order a large and take the leftovers home.
