Outstanding service! We switched to Mountain Petroleum in 2018 and have consistently been impressed by their entire team. IMPORTANT: We brought Mountain in because of a propane smell from our stove. They diagnosed it correctly as an issue with the stove itself. However, "just to be safe" they offered to do a pressure test on the entire system. They found a small underground gas leak outside. They had a new 100ft line run from the tank to the house the next day. Then, when we had the new stove installed, the valve from the floor to stove would not fit properly. Once again, Mountain came out the next day and fixed it, then finished the install. Debbie in the office is always a pleasure to speak with. Keith & Tim are super professional. We have been using Mountain Petroleum at our camp for over 10 years. We have always had a great experience and find them to be very personable. We had issues with an 8 year old Utica Boiler that kept shutting off in extreme cold. We had to worry about this boiler constantly and had to travel 1 hour several times per week in the winter to restart it. After 3 years of replacing parts, etc., we called Mountain Petroleum and explained the issue. They sent a tech out to see if they could figure out what was wrong. It took them about 30 minutes to discover two problems that were resolved and the boiler has been working perfectly ever since. What a terrible company mountain Petrolium is to deal with. They overcharged me and are rude rude and nasty to deal with. I guess they think threy are the only game in town but I'm now using Buckman oil in Chestertown 518- 494-4999 and they are very polite and it's now a very happy experience. read more

we have been using These guys for a few years and it has been nothing but trouble! last winter I thought I had a leak in my system somewhere because I was using WAY more propane than usual. they did an inspection and said it was fine. this year I placed an order in January for 100 gallons of propane and the delivered 400!!! we didn't want to pay for it but we were told that wasn't an option we HAD to pay for it. then in early may I checked to see how much propane we had left in our tank. when I opened the cover to the gauges there was a VERY strong propane smell and we had less than 5% left in the tank! we have a pellet stove to heat the house with .I don't think a hot water heater and a dryer could use 400 gallons of propane in 4 1/2 months. read more
