Upon entering I was greeted by Mike. He spent several minutes explaining where I should fish and what flies to use. He circled the areas on a map to make things clear on where to fish. The store is tastefully decorated with a large selection of flyfishing related merchandise. It's in a great location, surrounded by shops and restaurants. Even though the shop is in "town" parking was not a problem at all. There is a city parking deck across the street but we were able to park on the street. I'd highly recommend The Ugly Bug Fly Shop....especially for visiting anglers who are not familiar with the area.

The people we scheduled with were communicative, easy to work with and accommodating. Most of us had never fly fished before and we all had success and want to go back next year!

I used to buy everything through Rocky Mountain and have bought thousands and thousands of dollars…read morethrough here. I've been having an issue with my 7 pin IQ bowsight which I bought through Rocky. The sight has a lifetime warranty on it. I understand having to send it in and wait for iq to get back to me, I brought the sight up to one of the guys at the counter and he started messing with it. Adjusted it way out of whack had absolutely no clue what he was doing then proceeded to take an Allen wrench to the tightening screw and stripped it. I literally watched him over tighten it and strip it. He blamed me for stripping it. Then through a hissy fit because i pulled the sight off and told them to take care of the warranty. That's just the start. He was mishandling my bow and knocking the cams all over the counter with absolutely no care in the world. I don't know what happened to all the good archery techs but I will not spend another penny there. I'll drive across the state and deal with Sheridan Rocky before I give Casper location anymore of my business.

So not so much a product review more a personnel issue. So was in today picking up a reel that had…read moreordered. Have purchased numerous firearms from this store so know most who work in that section. Anyway, after having my reel filled, nice service by way, swung by firearms to ask about a rifle interested in. No additional customers were waiting. After speaking about the specific firearm, was asking about a few other things firearm related, when a person who also works in firearms, walked out from back and told the employees I was speaking with to stop talking and get back to work, and saying that turned and walked away towards back of store. I'll admit we did chat a bit, but I was asking firearm related questions, no other customer was waiting, wow. I won't say I spend a lot in this store but kind of have past few months. And if that how things are done will go elsewhere to ask my questions and buy my outdoor items. Can see if things were busy, several customers waiting but none of that?
