Chicken parm and baked ziti had a great red sauce and the lemon chicken was also tender and tasted great. The dinner rolls practically melted in my mouth! My group had about 150 people in attendance and everyone fit in the room well and we weren't stacked on top of each other! Then we went on to a Caesar salad, which was very good. Fresh hot bread was placed on my table. There was a lovely dish on the table with butter that was shaped like a big rose. We were originally given several choices for our entree. I chose to have their Salmon.The salmon was delicious very flavorful butter sauce and it was a good size. It came with yellow rice and steamed fresh String beans. For dessert there was a beautiful cake, and a pastry fruit tart. Coffee and tea were served with it. The room itself was a comfy chair surrounded by all the lovely shower gifts. I would highly recommend having a bridal shower, birthday party, or affair here. They really did a lovely job.

For the first time ever I golfed at Bensalem and found the numerous trees to be annoying there. Makefield has zero trees. Lots of sand traps however. Many of the sand traps have small amounts of sand...makes it easier to get the ball out. In fact I use an iron or even rescue club to get out of the bunkers. A few of the ponds have gotten my balls...it happens. Staff is always friendly and accomodating. After golf we enjoy the club house with indoor and outdoor deck seating. However, they raised their prices of alcohol and food...rediculous! $15 for small vodka martini. Totally outrageous for what is served. Bummer. Reservations are a must as it is a popular local course. I had my best game ever today!

It was very clean and all the water made it enjoying and nerve racking. It is the perfect difficulty for all ages as we had a 7 year old through age 43. They also had a driving range and it wasn't bad it was very nice. The whole place was very sanitary compared to other places. They keep very nice care of the place. Overall, we had a great time and I would definitely recommend!

I had a really good golf day here this past Saturday…read more My boyfriend and I used GolfNow to book a tee time for 18 holes at 2:45pm for $30 each with cart. The grass may have been around an inch too tall and I may have lost a ball or two (because I couldn't differentiate between my ball and the reflection of all the leaves), but other than that the greens were fair and I thought this was an overall nice course to play at. The fairways weren't all that tight and there were a few holes with bends and waterways which made for a good challenge. I will say that I didn't like how the golf course rangers rushed us off the course at 6:45pm, when we had only one hole left because we were waiting behind another group. I understand that it gets dark earlier now in late September, but it wasn't actually dark yet. They should've let us finish!

Mercer Oaks in Mercer County operates a wonderful facility. Mercer oaks offers 2 courses, An East…read moreand West. Wonderful layouts with challenging holes. The facility offers 2 ranges, one off grass and one off mats. Buckets are $5 for approximately 40 balls. Tee times can be scheduled online through the county or thru golf now etc. This past Sunday we paid $75 with cart. The price is on par (see what I did there) with the gold standard of the Monmouth county courses. County residents and "members" receive a sizable discount. The tee boxes, fairways and greens were all in great shape. The cart girl was visible throughout the round. Beer, water and soft drinks only. No spirits on the cart. It seemed like every third hole had a water jug available for bottle fill ups. There is a dining facility, bar and catering hall at the clubhouse. The catering hall looked beautiful. I will be back to play there.
