I've been taking both my daughters here since we moved to the area and I still don't want to take them anywhere else even though my oldest is not pediatric aged. I came here because it had 4 stars & more good than bad reviews. I got a next day appt for my 6 month old for 9:40am. I waited over an hour before walking out. I watched 3 people come in after me & get called back before me. My daughter missed a nap because this wait time was so long. I was going to wait out another 30 min making my time 1.5 hours after my appointment before realizing that mine and my 6 month olds time should be just as valuable as the staffs time. I will not be coming back. Before moving here (due to military) our previous pediatrician pulled us back within 10 min of arrival and told us to just bring the new patient forms back after the visit. Dr. Faro has been our pediatrician for over 16 years and 3 kids. Him and his staff are great. He is knowledgeable and friendly. He always makes conversation with the kids. As far as I can remember, the nurses and dr. assistants have been the same all of these years. The appointments are easy to make, wait time is never long, the paperwork to fill out is never excessive, and if I ever have to call the office for a medical question the nurse either picks up the line immediately or calls back shortly. As far as doctor offices go, this one is A+. I wish they all could be this painless. read more

It was so hard to find a good pediatrician when we first moved here. Dr Faro had great reviews and was close to me. From the very 1st visit, he has given my kids all the attention they need. I love that I can call and speak to their nurse and that I can usually either get a same day or next day appointment. The staff is friendly and get with the kids. Love this doctors office!! My sons were originally patients at St. Rose Pediatrics and we were very disappointed with how they do scheduling and treat patients. Dr. Faro was recommended by a family friend and I'm so glad we found this office. When I called in the morning for a sick visit after being canceled and reschedule by St. Rose Pediatrics I was told that we could come in that morning. The first office visit was great! Everyone in the office is friendly from Jennifer in the front office to the Nurse John that has the best personality and is great with kids. I never get the feeling like they are too busy, you are never rushed during a doctors visits. The office has two waiting rooms one for sick visits and one for well check ups. We have been to the office about 4 times now and all I have is good things to say about this doctors office. If you need a pediatrician you won't be disappointed. read more

Very disappointed with this doctor. Took my kid to see him 3 times in a week, he couldn't find anything, all he said was " it's ok ", just keeping charge us money. Finally took my kid to ER, found out some serious disease, thanks the doctors were very knowledgeable there in the ER! Weeks later, this clinic send us more bills for the "visit", Really??!!! I am so happy to have found Dr. Faro and Mountain Vista Pediatrics. When you're child is sick, it's scary. I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to know Dr. Faro's office will get us in quickly, and we will be seen by Dr. Faro himself. The assistants are great, don't get me wrong, but I appreciate having my child seen by a knowledgeable doctor with many years of experience when something is wrong. His practice is very straightforward, he's not the type of doctor to run up the bill with unnecessary tests. Dr Faro has been my youngest child's Dr since he was born almost 9 years ago, and my other 2 children's Doctor for just as long. His male nurse that takes their measurements at the beginning of the appointment is always friendly and patient. The front office staff is prompt and courteous. I thought I was going to have to suffer through those dreaded long wait times in a pediatric Dr's office, especially now that Dr. Faro is the sole Doctor at this practice. I have never had to wait for longer than 20 minutes after my appointment time. I do understand that emergencies come up and a child who needs to be seen before mine may happen. Dr Faro is always polite, speaks to my kiddos and does their exam in a manner in which they never feel afraid or uncomfortable. The waiting area is clean but simple, but I don't come here for the décor. My child gets the medical attention in which we were there for, and they have always left with no tears and a lollipop of their choice. read more

Only 2 stars! Would of been 4 or 5 but we did not have an appointment with Dr Faro. Our appointment was for 3pm. We arrived 10min early. Was called in about 3:10 and waiting in a small room for this woman Dr for 45+ minutes and still counting! If I didn't live near Red Rock Casino I would just walk out! This is ridiculous!!!!! It's now 4 pm and all they can tell me is we are next! If I would've known this in advance at least I could've stopped and got my daughter something to eat before we got here. Really clean and nice office! We made he drive from Aliante because he was recommended and ended up being a really nice experience. Got there 15 minutes early and was called back before I could even finish paperwork (no long wait times). Exam room was clean and staff was incredibly friendly and happy! Dr had great bedside manner and took the time to answer any questions and did a very thorough wellness exam for our baby. Will return and bring our older son as a patient also! read more

Dr. Faro has been our pediatrician for 11 years and all 3 kids! He is amazing, and so is the staff. There has only been one staff change in the front office since we've been going there, everyone is the same, which my kids love. They know who they're going to see and feel comfortable, even if they have to get shots. We have been coming here since it was Foothill Peds. We love Dr Faro and his staff. Especially Mr John, he is the best! They have made a few changes since the switch over. They no longer take 3 kids at a time. I can understand why but if you are a family who has always done that and haven't cancelled or no showed I think you should be able to continue. My kids (twins and singleton) birthdays are 3 weeks apart and they always get sick at the same time. It is a pain to have 3 sick kids and you have to take 2 one day and the other the next. Last time all 3 were with me because I didn't have anyone to watch the one without an appointment and John was so kind to offer to take the 3rd. So I guess they bend the rules sometimes. I am not one to push the issue. The front office staff has greatly improved. For awhile there was a new person every time we went and most weren't pleasant. Now it is the same girl and she is great. Another plus, we never wait more than 5 minutes to be called back. read more

I love Dr. Faro and have had him as my sons doctor for almost 10 years now! I have not one negative thing to say about this doctor. He is amazing and honestly the only doctor I have ever felt confident in. He really takes his time to answer questions and explain things. I never feel rushed here and that's amazing because with the time he takes with you, you'd think it would cause longer wait times, but somehow the wait times are never excessive. He's had the same make nurse since I've been coming here and I think that's awesome, he's a super nice guy, always has a smile, very professional and respectful. Sometimes the front office staff is questionable on their attitudes it's kind of hit or miss with who is at the front but recently they have been ok up there. Yes the office waiting room could be more kid friendly, there isn't anything for kids to do while they wait as there is only a line of chairs in the waiting room, but maybe there's a reason kids have germs and providing toys etc out there could cause kids to get sick while waiting at the doctors office, so to me that's a logical reason. It's def not a reason to turn away from this office, I truly feel dr faro is one of the best and I feel very lucky to have found him as my child's first doctor! This has been My 4 Children's Doctor (insurance assigned Pediatrician since 2014) (2 now are Adults) (20, 18, 6, 4) I had been mentioning that My Son age 2,3 and 4 (mentioned SEVERAL times that My Son is different) (now age 6) was displaying behavior and has communication issues that was different than My other Children and I felt like they needed to be addressed. Dr. Farro said to Me "Does He communicate with You?" I reply yes, but that's not the issue. He says "Some Kid's are shy and He'll grow out of it." Well it turns out My Son is Autistic (Like I had suspected) and in full blown self contained special education classes (that He should've been in since He was 3 if Dr. Farro would've given Us a referral to Child Find but NEVER did) and didn't start school until age 5 and in a regular education classroom (His 1st Kindergarten Teacher cried with Me after school on the first day when I shard Our story with Her because She KNEW after 1 hour with Him that He's autistic and did EVERYTHING She could to help get Him into the appropriate classroom) Dr. Farro is ALL about His check ( He will come see Your newborn while You're in the hospital and REALLY pretends very well to listen to You) in reality though I don't believe that He gives one single DAMN about ANY of His Patients. If Your kid is healthy and has no issues He's a good Doctor if Your Child has ANY kind of problem I HIGHLY suggest finding Your next option ASAP because I promise You whatever Your concerns are will be brushed off and NOT properly addressed! I wish My insurance was different. I wish I could give Him negative stars. I wish My Son wasn't 2 full year's behind in school because of Dr. Farros negligence to give Me a referral or listen to Me EVERY single time I mentioned My Son's issues! read more
