Sadly, what began as a visit quickly turned into preparations for his funeral, and we were suddenly in urgent need of appropriate attire. As a WVU alumnus, I remembered Daniel's Menswear, found the store online, and decided to go there. From the moment we arrived, Phil greeted us warmly. After I briefly explained our difficult and stressful situation, he immediately stepped in with professionalism, compassion, and confidence, assuring us that he would take care of everything--and he absolutely did. Phil quickly understood our needs, preferences, and immediate timeline. He helped us select the right attire with care and efficiency, making a very overwhelming situation much easier to manage. After we checked out, Phil encouraged us to relax and have lunch while the tailoring was completed, promising to text us when everything was ready. Remarkably, we received his message before we had even finished lunch. We picked up our clothing and were able to move on to the many other responsibilities we had to handle before the funeral. Phil's service, along with the tailor's quick and excellent work, went truly above and beyond anything I have experienced elsewhere. We are deeply grateful for the kindness, urgency, and professionalism shown to us during such a difficult time. I hope Phil sees this and knows how much his help meant to our family.

I have only used their tailoring service multiple times and ourchased dress sock so I can't comment on the material or their pants and shirts but everything looks well. Things seem to be rather expensive, but once again I can't attest to the quality so maybe it is warranted. Tailoring service has always been quick, fair priced and the employees are nice.

When asked about the shipping box to return them, they gave us a hard time. We live 2 hours away and was thankful for the return option. But they argued that if the whole bridal party was not mailing them, then we couldn't. The other members live close by. They did eventually give us the box and let us mail them.

Apparently Ptak's is THE tuxedo/suit/etc. rental place in Uniontown, and in my opinion this is…read morebecause they have a monopoly on the market, it's not because it's amazing. My boyfriend was in a bridal party that got their tuxes from Ptak's, and yes, they all were able to wear said tuxes and yes, they all matched, but talk about shoddy. We picked his up the day before the wedding because we were traveling from out of town. He had called in the sizes that the professional tailor he uses in Chicago gave him, and when we picked up the tux, it was insanely oversized... I can't imagine the sizes vary from state to state this much, but the good news is they accomodated us & found a new jacket & a new shirt. They still weren't great, but it's a rental, so we weren't expecting a tailor-made suit. After talking to the other groomsmen though, we learned that he was one of the lucky ones, considering that one of the other guys' SOLE FELL OFF HIS SHOE while he was quite literally IN the wedding, standing AT the altar. The bridal party had to swing by and pick up a new freaking shoe on their way to the reception, for pete's sake. Another groomsman had a feeling his shirt was dirty when he picked it up from the store, but I assume him just being a dude, decided, well, who cares, only to notice at the wedding that yep, it was indeed dirty with a stain on it. Another groomsman was complaining about the service and how the people at the counter ignored him for a good 30 minutes. Every single groomsman had a story about how it was a bad rental experience. I'm not trying to hate on what I assume is a family-owned business that's been around for all these years, I think that's great and I wish them the best. I just wish they'd get their act together a little bit because what I mention above is unacceptable. I thought maybe we were the only ones that had an issue, but to find out the entire wedding party had something screwed up is just crazy. On the upside, you can totally rent a 'The Situation' tuxedo here if that's your thing.
