Gleison, one of the owners, came out the next day to take a look at the property and give a free consultation during which he was very nice, helpful and clearly passionate about his craft. His crew did the work the day after with Gleison working alongside. They were efficient, professional and did quality work in just a few hours cleaning up the entire front and backyard of pine needles and leaves and then mowing, aerating and seeding at a very reasonable price. We heartily recommend MOW & GROW LAWN SERVICES for all kinds of yard work. They did the best Spring cleanup in our wooded yard and flower beds we've had in the 50+ years we've lived in our house. I am in my 80s and ill now and unable to do even the flower bed cleanup I could do even a couple of years ago. After we talked about what we need, even in view of several years of neglect: Gleison and his crew if 5 other guys came and in 3 hours had cleaned the flower beds by hand, being careful with tender sprouts if perennials and ferns. Then they blew leaves well off into the woods, spreading leaves (so no piles to breed mosquitoes in the summer), removing the sticks & tree debris too (we have a lawn service for weed & feed, & my husband still mows our smallish back yard lawn). The above they did on all sides, 6 men in 3 hours. The care and thorough attention was unmatched by any other landscaping service we've ever had. The bill was very reasonable. We negotiated the price before the work was done. I cannot recommend Gleison and his crew highly enough. We plan to hire them regularly to fertilize and mulch and do other chores we very oldies can no longer do. They have made it possible for me to enjoy the garden for at least one more season. For the past few years, Mow and Grow came out weekly to maintain our lawn during the summer. We also had them do seeding and grub remediation at different points in time. They were reliable and provided solid service for the cost. In late April, Gleison sent us an email stating 'after careful consideration and research we feel the need to make some changes this upcoming season to be able to fully commit and guarantee satisfaction to our customers. Unfortunately these changes include letting go some of our valued clients, which means that for the 2021 season we will not be able to provide you with lawn care services.' I'm guessing we didn't generate enough money for Mow and Grow, since we did not opt in for the very costly fall and spring cleanups ($800 for 1/3 acre). While that is somewhat understandable, what is unacceptable is waiting until the absolute last minute to send an email with little time to secure another landscaping service (two weeks ahead of when the seasons first mowing was expected). We reached out to Gleison via email to discuss this and he could not be bothered to respond. Hire at your own risk! read more

I have had Gleison do two major projects at my house and I can't wait to have him back to do more. He and his crew are very courteous and really good at their job. On the first project, we had a 30x40 garden that was overgrown and we wanted it demolished and turn it back into part of our yard. Gleison tilled the soil, removed all the debris, added loam, leveled it out and planted grass. The results were outstanding. You cannot even tell the garden was ever part of the yard. The second project we asked Gleison and his crew to remove 6-10 feet of shrub/weeds and other overgrown bushes from about 1,000 feet of our property. They did it in about 2 days which was amazing. All the debris was removed and the areas cleaned up. It is amazing how open the property looks and friends that come over look at the space in awe of how much was removed and how you can't even tell it was ever there. Gleison is great to work with and I look forward to him working on more projects in the near future. read more

Gleison and the team did an absolutely fantastic job on some landscaping and masonry work for us recently. Our front landscaping had gotten very overgrown and we wanted to start fresh. In only a day's work, they were able to completely tear everything out (including a tree) and have our new landscape planted. Gleison and his brother did an absolutely fantastic job in laying down a new lawn in my backyard. They dug up tree stumps and laid down new loam, at a relatively late time during the growing season for new grass. The quality of loam and the seeds they used were both top notch. It was up to me to keep up the watering to get the grass to grow, and boy did it grow! The lawn is full of incredibly health grass. A few points about Gleison that I feel set his business above other landscaping businesses: 1. His estimate was exactly what we paid. The work wasn't easy, and he and his brother did the work over two days at the estimate he provided, which was better than other lawn companies I contacted. 2. He was an excellent communicator. He was responsive by email and text, and let me know when he was coming, and when he was finished. He also helped address some of my early concerns. 3. The best part was that he actually stopped by to check on the lawn a couple of weeks later. We had laid down some straw and he suggested we pull it up to make it a bit easier for the new seed to grow, so he ended up raking up the straw. I offered to pay him for this work, but he didn't accept. Gleison is truly a great landscaper. He cares about his work, he's an excellent communicator and he wants his work to succeed; a great businessman. You should hire him next time you need work down on your land! Gleison responded promptly about scheduling a time to give me an estimate on my property. He came by -completely understanding about the social distancing thing - and gave me a quote in about 15 minutes. Amazingly he had a crew in the area and texted me about 1.5 hours later that the team would be over in the afternoon. The team came and completely, magnificently, cleaned up my yard - to a level I didn't even think was possible. We had a ton of leftover leaves from the fall and winter, and untold felled branches and stickes (plus about a million acorns scattered about). Nothing remained when they left. But, before they were finished, Gleison took a long tour of the yard and had some of his guys come back and hand rake some spots. The attention to detail and professionalism was impressive.
