*****WARNING TO HOMEOWNERS***** My mother recently hired Mow It Right for lawn care services. During their last visit, their crew damaged her brand-new shed (less than a year old). To their credit, they admitted it immediately over the phone and promised to "make it right." Unfortunately, that's where the accountability ended. Despite multiple requests, they have refused to provide anything in writing -- no incident report, no insurance information, nothing. Their proposed "repair" was shocking: remove the shed's back panels, hammer out the dents, put them on the front, and reinforce it with duct tape. Obviously, that is not a repair -- it's a cover-up that reduces the shed's value. When we pressed for proper documentation, they stopped cooperating. This is not how a professional, insured company should handle damage they admit to causing. Accidents happen, but responsible businesses carry insurance and resolve property damage properly. I'm sharing this so others in the Olive Branch and Memphis area know what to expect before hiring this company. i have used M.I.R for over 3 years now for my lawn treatments. (weed control program) it is a year round service. This year was the first that i have had a problem. i called to complain and the nice lady that answered the phone said the rep who had treated noted my account already to be retreated because he saw the weeds. 2 weeks after retreat i call again, no change, however this time she stated that rep. saw weeds dying. i asked her to have them retreat again and that i saw no weeds dying not even wilting. Still no change i called again, she said she would have christian whom wasnt at work that day call me next business day. no call, so i called them. he wasnt in today. I advised her that i was tired of paying for a service that wasnt producing results. i didnt want another debit until the problem was resolved. Their solution, would yo like to stop services then? YES, Yes i would. moral of the story. Don't use their services for weed control. i could do better with products from hardware store. read more

I have used them for years and they used to be great but now it has been a complete nightmare. Mowing the wrong yard, destroying anything in their path ( I have 5 small kids. There maybe a toy in the back yard sometimes). And since my husband is in the hospital I decided to bite the bullet and use them again and on the first day cutting they broke my gate!!! They took my lawn from drab to fab!! I had crazy species of weeds that did not go away with normal store-bought weed killers. The Mow it Right team came in, cut down the weeds, began treating my lawn on the regular basis and now I have the best looking lawn in my neighborhood!! read more

Made an appointment to have my sprinklers winterized in the beginning of November. As of today they are still not done. Mow it right cut my front and back yard on Monday, August 6, 2018 and it was absolutely terrible!! I normally try to find something nice to say on services rendered but you can't hide your yard. They left patches and uncut grass all over, the debris left form the mower was not blowed from the yard, and they didn't even edge my yard. They were literally at my house 11 minutes, my neighbor timed them, and it looked better before they came out. When I called the very same day to complain the representative advised me that they could schedule someone to come back next week and if i wanted them to cut my grass again I would be charged a redo fee... wait What? I expressed in no uncertain terms that I'm paying for a service that was not rendered and someone needed to return the next day and no fee. She asked me to send photos via email and she saw the horror and agreed someone would be back. So they came back and let's just say it didn't make a difference I cancelled the services. I wanted to share my experience after talking with Christy who said she is part owner of the company. Now It Right of Memphis. To make a long story short. They did a terrible job mowing the back yard. When I called to discuss my concern Christy was extremely rude and defensive. Even told me not to interrupt her as she lectured me about mowing and fertilizer. When I told her I have owned homes with yards for over 30 years and rarely if ever complained with services I have had and told her I would give their company negative reviews because she was not willing to help me resolve my concern she told me not to "threaten" her and she would say our grass was 2 feet long. I am not a client of Mow it Right, but my neighbors are. More times than I can remember, I have come home to see where the lawn cutters with Mow it Right have used my yard to access my neighbor's front yard. How do I know, because they access the yard with the mower running and cut a strip in my lawn to do so. I have witnessed them catch my tree branches in the door of their trailer and then drive off breaking the branches as they go. They spilled gasoline on a portion of my lawn and killed the grass, which is now a permanent bald spot. Today, I pulled up in front of my home to see the access area cut in my lawn and I called Mow it Right to complain, as it was the straw that broke the camel's back. The lady I spoke with could not be more unconcerned and was certainly unapologetic. She refused to give me the owner's name, Chris Fowler, which I found easily on the internet. She refused to connect me to his cell phone. Any owner that doesn't want his name given out, especially to someone upset about the performance of his company, customer or not, seems like they don't care about the reputation of said company. I have to admit, my neighbor's yard looks gorgeous. If you are only concerned for your yard, I am sure they are a wonderful service. However, I bet there are many lawn companies that will do an equally good job while being considerate of your neighbor's property. read more

When looking for a company to provide lawn care please do not choose Mow It Right. They are liars and they honestly dont know one lawn from the next.They were on a bi weekly schedule to cut my lawn and the day they came by they stopped at my home and then drove away. The next day I received a call saying that my yard was "overgrown" and I would need to pay double the amount because they needed to use a "special mower" to cut my grass. I told the lady that my yard was previously cut by their service and was no where near overgrown and maybe they had me confused with someone else. Picture Sales Person...Have you ever dreamed of a perfect yard without having to do anything or manage anything. You can just check off yard work as something you have to worry about. You will have one of the best looking yards in the neighborhood!!! Typical yes sales people tuns out to be typical crappy service. Mow it right is broken up into many services and I had involvement with all of them over the year I used them. I know this because I signed up for the total service due to the fact I had 0 time to spend on my yard. These services are sold as the total package for clients that expect the entirety of the property to be taken care of as issues arise. Service Rated by department Weekly mowing = *** Mulch Twice a year = ** Gutter twice a year = * Seasonal Flowers to two beds twice a year = * Weed Control = ** Flower bed maintenance + * Sprinklers system open and close = **** Leaf pickup twice a year = ** You agree to a price and pay monthly year round. The idea is that you no longer have to worry about your yard or over exuberant HOA or anything that pertains to your yard. Do not ever fall into this trap, and it is a trap. I had weeds growing from my flower beds to my front door that took two calls to have addressed, because one group that comes out doesn't do what the next group does. The guys with the weed eaters will literally walk right by two foot tall weeds because it sits in the flower bed. Now they would cut two inches of that weed if it ever hit the yard. Which is a "seriously dude" kind of moment when you see it. Speaking of weeds, I never had a time that I could walk my yard and not find weeds. You spend the same amount of time complaining and scheduling as one would without paying the premium. The gutters where only done once and took several calls to have done. They skipped the highest gutters for obvious reasons. The seasonal flowers are put in half way through the seasons. I have sneaky feeling that the department that does the flowers also does the pallet grass, because they will tell you the rain has them off schedule even if it has not rained in two weeks. They explained that the grounds were too wet to get the grass, though I see neighbors, business, and many more having them done during the month we waited. Funny how you start paying attention to those things when people tell you one thing and you see others not having any problems. The grass was installed so late in the year that it still has not taken to the ground that I am paying a fortune to water, and it's August. All these issue make it really hard to stomach on those cold winter months that you don't see these people. The only reason I am giving them more than one star are the individuals who do the sprinklers. They are legit, but give mow it right time and they will figure a way to screw that up as well. Let me leave you off with how things ended with us. I called halfway through the summer to request that our contract not renew itself, because I didn't want to get stuck for another year paying without addressing my concerns. What actually happened was for them just to stop showing up a week before the contract ended. It doesn't matter that items that were agreed upon never got performed. The real kicker of it all was talking to one individual who works for them. He said I would fire them to after briefly looking at my yard. You live and learn. There are times when i feel the mowing is a bit rushed and some small things are missed, but it gets taken care of the next time around ...ovarall things are good and i don't have to interact with them very often. Things get done in a timely manner. read more

They get the job done in cutting the grass, and they cut during the scheduled time. I never have to worry about whether they will complete the job on the designated scheduled day. However, they can be a bit inconsistent in leaving patches of grass in the yard at times. read more

My neighbor raved about Mow it Right so I decided to give them a try. They mowed my front yard and said my backyard was overgrown and said it would be $65 to cut it. (The girl that answered the phone was rude and not interested in good customer service.) I told them ok but then called back about 20 minutes later and said that I did not want the work done and I did NOT want to continue my contract with Mow it Right. The girl who needs to work on her customer service skills said she would refund my credit card but that hasn't happened. They charged my credit card the next week for mowing when they did not mow my yard. Do not use this company. Call Latimer's Lawn Care - he will give a better price and he is a friendly guy. There is a reason their prices are a little cheaper than everyone else's. I paid for a year of lawn treatments and regret it. Ineffective treatments and horrible customer service. The worst part is when I call and explain that I do not see the weeds dying, I get questioned and told that it is normal. When I call and ask why my back yard was not treated, I am told that it was because the amount of material used is consistent with the previous application sq. footage. Really?! What if your technician over sprayed my front yard and disregarded the back yard? Then where is the granules or the evidence of blue that is very prevalent in the front yard? Also, I was at home all day and did not see them make an attempt in the backyard. Very frustrating that I have to PROVE their service is inconsistent. I also tried their bi-weekly lawn cutting. Just as horrible as the lawn treatment. 3 guys showed up and were gone within 10 minutes. They left all the lawn clippings exactly where they fell all over the sidewalks and edges of my property. First of all my grass was cut on last Wednesday. They stopped in the middle of cutting the front and side of the yard. The office called me the next day and said that they couldn't cut the yard because it was too high. But the yard service men didn't tell them they started and abruptly stopped. Someone was supposed to come out on Thursday but never showed up. I woke up the next morning on 7/3 called at 845 was assured that I was number 4 on the list. I waited and waited no one ever showed up. I called up until 3pm no one answered. Left my yard half cut and I had company on Friday evening. Then they showed up on the 4th of July to cut the yard. It was cut uneven, grass was blown all in the yard, against the house, in the streets and in my cleaned out flower beds. You would have thought the owner would have called or emailed or something to apologize for running my yard and my holiday. I was so embarrassed that my yard looked like a 4 year old cut it. I have used Mow It Right for three seasons now and personally have never had any problems. Any issues I have ever had with the mowing service has been promptly addressed. I have a huge, very hilly yard that is very difficult to mow and this crew makes it look good every single time. I like that I can have a scheduled mow day. I have dogs that I leave out if the weather is nice so it's good to know which day they will be mowing so I can ensure they're inside on that day. Even on the times I have forgotten to put them up I haven't had to worry because they always close the gate. They do show up on the day scheduled. They do answer phone calls. That is about the best i can say. If you are looking for a basic lawn service, but do not particularly care about the end result then they may be okay for you. Typical volume company. They are only going to do the bare minimum. They do not blow off the street. They do not blow off your grass. They say it is "against policy" to weed eat a weed in a walkway. They blew grass clippings on to my porch. Just very sloppy workmanship. I called to give them some input and the lady could not have cared less to lose a client. They spent a total of 20 minutes at my house. it would have taken them 23 to do the job correctly. My business has used Mow it Right for over 3 years. As of late, we are not pleased with their services. They have become inconsistent and sloppy. They no longer rake and edge the yards. instead they leave the grass shedding's on the lawn, and do the bare minimum. I have complained, they have told me that they are busy and can't keep any eye on every job that is done. They did very poor lawn cutting service. Took them five minutes to barely cut my grass. It should take at least 20 minutes if done right. I cancelled the lawn cut but kept the lawn treatment part. That was average because I still had weeds after treatment. I cancelled them after they left my gate wide open for anyone to set up camp in my backyard. They took no responsibility for it and did not want to apologize. I guess you get what you pay for barely even that. read more

We previously had another company to spray and after being with them a year their prices increased. I called around and Mow It Right had great prices. We agreed for them to spray. We were with them toooooo long. We ended it up with more weeds than ever before. The young lady who called the day before to let us know when they would be out was always nice, but I'm not sure what the technician did. Our yard looks TERRIBLE. We have recently joined another company and hope they are able to bring our yard back to life. I've had this company for several months. They are in too much of a rush that they do a shoddy job. They have damaged my property the last several times they have been out to my property. They yard has several places that they didn't even attempt to cut. The grass is uneven throughout the entire yard. I have called to have the yard fixed, but they refuse to take ownership of their poor work and correct it. Mow it right.... more like Mow it Wrong! Do not go to the company. Do not allow these ppl on your property!! Very rude! They mowed our neighbors yard and in the process ran over a fishing weight (the pond is near the property line) and it blew out the back tinted window of my suv. I went over to the *new* neighbors who bought the house and they were equally trashy & rude. It seems they *know* *Misty* that works for Mow It Right. I called Misty & was referred to their home office. When I asked the address to the company, she REFUSED to give it to me saying "Olive Branch is all I need to know". So I called their office and got a more pleasant female that said she would call the glass vendor they use because "this happens all the time". Thinking I was covered I went on with my normal routine. About 30 minutes later, this Misty person calls me back, VERY rude, VERY argumentative, telling me that she told the office help to NOT call the glass vendor. Said all that was doing was the "right thing" for me & not them, and that she has mowed that yard for 8 yrs without trouble. I said I owned my suv for 12 yrs and never had a window blown out either. I told her I wasn't going to argue with her (10 minutes later) and if I had to take her to small claims court I would. Her reply? Well go ahead if you want to waste your money! (Now she is *above* the law). I hung up on her. I had other important things to do than argue with a very uneducated person. Thank God I had zero deductible on my glass insurance as they replaced it for me within a day. But I am going onto every review possible to warn ppl not to use this company.
