We walked from one church to another and were tired from all the back and forth so we stopped into La Nueva for a quick treat. I opted for my favorite, Guayaba and a Strawberry agua fresca. Both were fresh and delicious! The seating is modern and clean with great views. This is the perfect place to stop and take in the scenery.

If you're unfamiliar with agua fresca (and in all liklihood you know it well because why would you be in Mexico and not know what this is?) it's a fruity-water drinks. Sometimes milky, sometimes not. There's a variety of flavors from Horchata, Jamaica, Strawberry, Rompope, and a million more. This place definitely has some decent flavors and nothing hits the spot like an ice cold agua fresca. There's also the added bonus of it being located directly across from the Plaza. So go forth and get yourself a nice agua fresca, maybe event a paleta, and enjoy the sites and sounds of Jiquilpan's Plaza!
