Over the past 3-4 months at Impact One Fitness, I've seen a real transformation--not just…read morephysically, but in how I manage my day-to-day life. I've lost weight, built strength, and, more importantly, developed consistency and structure that carries far beyond the gym. The workouts are effective and thoughtfully programmed, but what truly sets this place apart is the coaching. The instructors are skilled--they don't just lead workouts, they coach on nutrition. They pay attention to form, push you when you need it, and know how to meet you where you are on any given day. There's a level of accountability and encouragement that makes it easy to stay committed. Impact One isn't just about fitness--it's about creating better habits, discipline, and balance. If you're looking for a place that delivers real results with expert guidance, this is it.

Down 30 lbs, zero injuries, feeling like a new person…read more Ok so I don't really write reviews but I have to for these guys. I've tried so many things in the Woodland Hills / West Hills area -- gyms, personal trainers, group classes -- and honestly nothing ever clicked. Then I found Impact One and it's just been a totally different story. When I walked in back in December 2025 I was kind of a mess. Recovering from a shoulder injury, dealing with plantar fasciitis, just not in a great place physically. Four months later? Down close to 30 pounds, shoulder feels great, and the plantar fasciitis is like 70 to 90% better. And I didn't pick up a single new injury along the way. That part still blows my mind. I feel strong. Like actually strong. And my energy is through the roof -- I honestly can't remember the last time I felt this good. The biggest reason this works is the team. Ali, Micah, Thomas, and Jorge -- these guys aren't just trainers, they're legit experts. They really understand the body. Every single session they're watching how you move, checking in on how you're feeling, and adjusting things on the fly based on what your body can handle that day. When I came in with my shoulder and my foot issues, they didn't just say "ok we'll go easy." They actually knew how to program around my injuries so I could still make serious progress without making anything worse. That kind of knowledge is really hard to find. And beyond the expertise, they're just genuinely supportive people. They make you feel like they're in your corner. It's not rah-rah fake motivation -- they actually care about your results and they pay attention to the details. The programming itself is also next level. There's a real methodology behind everything, not just random workouts. But it's the combination of smart programming plus trainers who deeply know what they're doing that makes this place special. I've been around the block with fitness out here. These guys are the best I've found and it's not even close. If you're on the fence just go.

I started working with Ursula shortly after turning 40, with goals that were less about aesthetics and more about strength, longevity, and taking proactive care of myself as a working professional and leader in the corporate world. With a family history of heart-related health issues and surgeries, I knew I wanted to prioritize my health in a different way. I am the strongest I've ever been and the most confident I've ever felt in my body. What makes her so unique is that she knows how to meet you where you are. I've never naturally been someone who loves working out, but she makes the process feel approachable, sustainable, and even enjoyable. I actually look forward to our sessions and being challenged in new ways. More than just a trainer, Ursula has been a true partner in helping me keep the promises I've made to myself about my health and future. I'm incredibly grateful for her guidance and look forward to continuing this journey with her. Thank you, Ursula!

Revision Fitness & Wellness Club - Contrast Therapy Room 4

Revision Fitness & Wellness Club

I think a lot people would probably look Revision's monthly fees and believe it competes with a big…read morebox facility like Equinox in the luxury gym market. However, this assumption could not be more erroneous. Equinox is a $250 a month "luxury" gym with over 20 year old equipment, and amenities that you have to pay extra for. In my past experience, they struggled to have towels ready half the time I requested one, and the cleanliness has gone downhill over the last few years. In contrast, Revision is in a class of its own as a cutting-edge and innovative wellness center, that just so happens to have a state of the art gym. In addition, the facility is immaculate (you can practically eat off the floors), with a great layout that ensures that everything is easy to find and stays organized. The best thing about Revision is that all of its amenities (cold plunge/infrared sauna, Ceragem massage bed, cryotherapy, compression therapy, red light therapy, meditation pods, etc.), can be utilized on an unlimited basis monthly. If you go to a typical spa or wellness center and purchase 1 or 2 amenities, the costs can easily total more than Revision's fees for a single month. In other words, the membership pays for itself very quickly regardless of whether or not you choose to utilize the gym component of the center. If you do decide to use the gym, the environment is supportive and non-intimidating, and there is a variety of diverse equipment to use (pendulum squat, smith machine, free weights, and cardio equipment that blows away anything you would find at a big box store like 24 hr. Fitness, Gold's Gym, or even Equinox). In terms of atmosphere, I've been searching a long time for a gym that feels like an actual community, as opposed to a meat market embedded within a warehouse of equipment, as most gyms within the area turn out to be. Within my first week or two there, Carolyn, one of the owners, came up to me and asked "Do you have any problems, complaints, or issues. We like to address them immediately." For me, those were magic words that I rarely hear from any business owner, regardless of the industry. It's a great feeling when your input is not only valued, but actually solicited. In addition, both owners (Dusty and Carolyn) are completely on top of catering to members individual needs. For example, I asked for a trap bar and a free-motion/dual cable machine, and they made it happen without me having to engage in any follow-up, which has been non-existent in my experience at other gyms. In the past, whenever I had an issue at a different gym such as Gold's or 24 hr., I would get the passive aggressive "we'll look into it," in response to a request of mine, but of course they never did. Instead, I would literally have to nag the front desk staff or management ad nauseam about the issue, and still not have success. I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say that most gyms only care about the bottom line (total patrons), and don't want to hear your complaints or input because you're just another number. People want to feel like they matter and have a voice that is heard. At Revision, you have a voice and you matter.

My experience with Pure Function after seven weeks…read more I signed up because I was dealing with nerve and muscle pain and wanted to learn how to move my body the right way--not just lift weights or use machines. From day one, I was impressed by the level of care, professionalism, and knowledge every coach brings to each class. They don't just tell you what to do; they explain the correct technique, why each movement is good for your body, and they pay close attention to make sure you're doing everything properly. They correct your form when needed and encourage you to push beyond your comfort zone in a safe and supportive way. I leave every class feeling stronger and more confident because I know I've challenged myself with their guidance. After only seven weeks, my nerve pain has improved so much, especially considering I sit behind a desk all day. I actually look forward to my evening classes, and they've had a huge positive impact on my body, my strength, and what I feel capable of doing. A special thank you to Hamoon for being the kind of coach everyone wishes they had. He's incredibly knowledgeable and quickly identified my weak points, helping me work toward my goal of building a stronger core. What I love most is that every class with him is more than just a workout--you actually learn something. He explains why you're doing each movement, you leave understanding your body a little better, and he always gives you options if you're ready to challenge yourself. His workouts are well thought out and have genuinely made me stronger, not just more tired. What I appreciate most is how much attention he pays to the little details. His energy is contagious, and you can tell he genuinely cares about everyone's progress. Daniel always puts together challenging and well-thought-out workouts. He sees more potential in me than I see in myself and constantly encourages me to step outside my comfort zone and try things I didn't think I was capable of. His confidence in me has helped me make progress I didn't expect. Dmarcus also plans great workouts and is incredibly patient. I really appreciate how supportive he is and how he always takes the time to help whenever you need it. I love the atmosphere, the energy, and the sense of community at Pure Function. After a long day at work, it's genuinely the part of my day I look forward to the most. It's honestly something you've just got to experience for yourself.

I recently joined Pure Function Fitness and started with their group classes (they offer private…read moretraining too, but I wanted the group energy). I've always done HIIT in the past and thought a "good workout" meant leaving the gym breathless, sweaty, and destroyed. I had no idea how different training could feel until I came here. I've been taking Core & Stability, Strength & Conditioning, and TRX, and every single class has something new to teach. Hamoon and his team are on another level. They don't just let you go through the motions -- they actually watch your form, correct you, explain the muscles you're engaging, and make sure you're breathing right. It's the first time I've felt like coaches genuinely care about proper movement instead of just filling up a 45-minute session. I've tried many gyms before, even semi-private ones, and none of them paid attention like this. At Pure Function, I finally learned that real fitness is about control, intentional movement, and actually knowing what your body is doing. I'm seeing improvements I never saw with years of heavy weights and fast-paced classes. So happy I joined. Highly recommend this place if you want smart training, not just sweaty training.
