MPreis overall is a great store with very high quality fruit and vegs, great bread, excellent meat, cold cuts, meat, dairy, etc; they have a nice wine selection. There are many Mpreis's in Tirol and all the ones I've shopped in are consistantly good, some larger than others and some with rather distinctive architecture. This store has saved us many times on a Sunday when guests are coming and we are out of something.

Yes folks Bavaria is wonderful but you have to do your shopping before 8pm monday to a saturday - so finding this heaven at the main railway station (Hauptbahnhof) has saved many a life, relationship, date and party. It might in some areas be a little pricier, less choice but meets most basic and emergency needs - hence the 5* rating. Got an excellent cold room full of beer. Spirits are behind the cash desks. Queues can be long especially weekends - Sunday evening when everyone is arriving or coming back home is a chore. But thank you for small inconveniences.

This grocer isn't like a real typical grocer, in that it has a lot of touristy stuff to get, so many varieties of Mozart Balls and liquors. The beer supply here was a bit lacking, but they had a few cold ones available on the cheap. The food selection goes towards the luxury way instead of cheap stuff. But the selection was great, with a deli and a wine part. They had premade foods and snacks available. The aisles were pretty narrow, and the merchandise was stacked to the low ceilings, but the place was well lit. The lines were long, but they moved quickly through a self-checkout system. It's quite small compared to the Spars in the bigger cities and villages. I've never had a problem finding anything in the store. Just a smaller selection of products compared to your bigger stores. The store is very clean , very friendly staff and not from the center of Kössen. It is located right beside the Tourism Office and near the Kössen Fire Station. You can see signs in the Village that state where the Spar is located. I highly recommend the amazing cafe in the store. Great selection of breads, Coffee, Desserts and cold drinks. The staff that maintain the Cafe are all very friendly and take a lot of pride in their work. Great place for breakfast, lunch and afternoon drinks. You won't be disappointed by your visit to both the store and cafe. It should be noted I am originally from Dublin, Ireland, lived in the United States Of America for over thirty years and served all over the world with the United States Marines. I definitely know a Great Super Market and Cafe from all my Travels around the world and life experiences. The super market and cafe rates five stars and more!
