The ambience and the interiors are still a little meh, and yes, the wait time is what it is....but the food is so amazing, it's all worth it. It's hot, it's fresh, it's delicious, and it STILL tastes scrumptious! This place still fills up like crazy come lunch time... Definitely give it a try. And if you're getting the Broast, you have to eat some right there, dine in, and then take some home. Because if you're taking it to-go to eat at home or out, the smell will drive you insane and you will burn your fingers trying to eat some. We live in Naperville and were in search of some great old fashioned broasted chicken. Mr. Broast of Aurora did not disappoint. Tender, juicy and with a perfect crispy crust; we enjoyed it immensely. I got taro tea with tapioca pearls. The tapioca is way too soft. The taro milk tea felt like there was no "milk" and I think it's because how he made it. It was quite watered down and I think that's because maybe the tea was warm and he shook it with ice before putting it into the cup. That's my guess. It really hurts me to do this but over the years, this place has completely lost it's touch. Last time I ate from here, the chicken pieces were abnormally huge and tasted strange. I thought maybe it was just that one time. I decided to give them another try and I was even more disappointed. Had family in town and we couldn't figure out where to go. Everyone wanted something different and it came to me, why not try this place. I've lived five minutes from them for ten years and never once tried it. I remember reading reviews that weren't great a long time ago but decided we should go try it out. We arrived around 8pm and were the only ones there but one other man. The girl at the register smiled and was friendly. A man came out from back and was also friendly. We looked at the menu for a bit, so many choices. I got the zinger burger with fries and a drink. It's a chicken sandwich with some sauce on it. It was good and tasty but I don't know what the hype is about. Barely any fries but I liked them, I actually prefer soggy fries with some spice and that's what they were. You grab your drink from a fridge, got a can of soda. Someone got two piece fried chicken and cole slaw, she liked it and good serving of slaw. Umm another got a chicken salad, she said it was good, didn't give me details . Ha. I'm nosy like that. My dad got the butter chicken with rice and naan. He really liked it! I didn't taste the chicken but dipped naan in the sauce and it was very good , not spicy at all, yum. If I go back I'll be getting that. Seemed he got the best meal out of all of us. The rice portion was huge and tasted good. Now.. my sister got biryani chicken with rice, again big portion . Noticed she didn't eat much and took it home, she said it was too hot temperature but something told me differently. I just ate it for leftovers and ehh so many bones and I swear I was eating whole cloves or some spice that was big and left in there. The chicken was so old when I broke into it, the bones were black. So the other day I was REALLY craving biscuits. Weird, I know, but I just could not go on with my day until I ate some southern biscuits. Nothing came to mind accept KFC (hard pass), so I of course turned to my good friend Yelp. Low and behold 7 minutes away was Mr. Broast awaiting my visit! I stopped in with the intention of only getting a side order of biscuits, but once that smell of delicious fried chicken hit my nose you best believe I was ordering a full meal. To make myself feel better, I went with a 3 piece value meal because it sounded like it would be a smaller option. I chose two wings and one breast and the meal comes with fries and a beverage (they have a fridge with cans of pop, water, etc.). The value meal and my side order of 3 biscuits came out to about $10. I'm pretty sure the biscuits from Mr. Broast are sent straight from heaven. They are flaky, buttery, and have some sort of sweet and light glaze melted on them. UNBELIEVABLE. It's only going to be trouble that I now am aware of these delicious little beauties and that I live less than 10 minutes away. The chicken is bomb dot com as well. The skin is crunchy and amazing and the chicken itself is juicy and tender. I ate 2 biscuits, half the fries and just the chicken breast they gave me and was more than full. Hubbie finished off the two chicken wings, last biscuit and rest of the fries. It's safe to say their chicken breasts are pretty huge and a meal like this is plenty to be split between two. On their website you can place your order ahead of time and I suggest doing this! I popped in on a whim so it took about 20 minutes for them to get my order ready. Luckily, Mr. Broast is located in a strip mall with a ton of other businesses so if you do happen to pop in there's plenty to browse while you wait for your order. I'm glad this location is all the way in Aurora, cause the Zinger Burger is my kryptonite, y'all. The Zinger Burger tastes just like how fireworks look. Slightly dangerous but wowee so amazing. My wife and I ordered from here through grubhub. Finally, a place that wasn't chinese or pizza! We got the family deal which was 8 pieces of chicken, 2 sides, and 4 biscuits. Delivery took about an hour, which is usually what you can expect ordering from grubhub. The food was fantastic. Who knew delivery fried chicken could be so good?! The chicken was fried a nice golden brown and had very bold flavor. It had a good kick of spice and the meat was juicy. For the sides we just got their fries. Delicious. They give you enough fries to feed an army. They are seasoned similar to the chicken. But the biscuits!!! So buttery and melt in your mouth fantastic. Actually, the fries are pretty bad here. The gyros was average, it wasn't bad but it wasn't extraordinary. It was good enough to fill me up, but it's not something I'd go out of the way before. My favorite was the bun kabob. They add a desi style omelet right above the kabob which I really liked. However, they call it bun kabob but it tastes more like shami. Is there an actual Mr. Broast, like a dude waiting to greet you at the door of the restaurant, perhaps in a chicken suit? I don't know, because I ordered from here through delivery.com: just wings and a biscuit. It did take every minute of the estimated hour for it to get to me, but was still hot upon arrival. I ordered "wings" (higher on the delivery menu) because I didn't see the "wingettes" (like drummies, I guess?). It was more food than I needed, and the wingette order is cheaper (obviously), so be aware of this. (If you are on their online ordering menu, you must scroll down much further to see the wingettes.) Also be aware: for broasted chicken this is spicy! (These are not sauced wings like Buffalo Wild Wings, by the way, but breaded.) So overall, it wasn't bad, just not the meal I expected. Next time I'd be more likely to get the regular broasted chicken. They also have burgers, gyros and some other offerings that I wouldn't have thought of based on the restaurant's name. if I could give zero stars, I would. on Fridays this restaurant has a breakfast special which includes Halwa Puri. My parents planned this morning to go before making it to the Friday prayer. They drove well over 45 minutes to get there. Upon their arrival the door was locked... Finally somebody came to greet them. they told my parents on Fridays they are not open to the public as they make food for the mosque.. which is fine, obviously. He further on told my parents that this has never been the policy, they do not have a special breakfast on Fridays. My mom showed him the poster board that was outside of THEIR restaurant. he stops her midsentence and tells her that, " oh, that is a old poster." The correct thing to do is honor what's written on the menu. my mom told him that they drove so far to eat here for breakfast and you were rushing them off.. that guy that works here seem to not care and say well that's your policy... He goes on to show my mom has menu... My mom shows her the money that she also has in her phone which specifies Friday morning breakfast. It's not even about the breakfast; it is more about the service you get a restaurant. My dad drives Uber so he picks up food from there quite often and this is how they got the menu. The restaurant did not even apologize nor offer them something differently instead he made my parents feel like shit. My parents sat in the car and then they saw a Hispanic woman go in and grab food. so my dad went to the door again to clarify what's going on and they said well she is a different case? what's a different case? i swear Desi people will run their own business out the market. But the second time around they gave me 20 tiny pieces of chicken with no sauce which was half the size of the previous order. Was not impressed with this place. I ordered the butter chicken and garlic naan bread. The butter chicken was just ok, lots of sauce with very little meat. My garlic naan was hard and stale. That was a huge disappointment. While eating I kept getting whiffs of cigarettes (I don't smoke) and figured it was coming from the plastic bag since I got it delivered with Uber Eats. Today was a very very very tragic day and unfortunately my fear of this place losing its fine taste and quality has been confirmed. I arrived in shortly after 11 and noticed the doors were locked, which was strange because opening time is at 11, finally the employee arrived and unlocked the door for me. I then proceed the order my 2 piece lunch meal and was told I will have to wait 20 minutes (no big deal, I appreciate hot, fresh food...but BOY this is where things turn ugly. I get home and every thing was dead cold. The chicken was overly dry and tasted as if it was overcooked leftovers from the weekend. The only thing decent is the biscuits. I went here for lunch with my husband on Sunday. The furniture in the restaurant all feels sticky. Would recommend being hand sanitizer if you want to eat at the restaurant. I got the zinger burger with fries and my husband got the gyro rice bowl and a biscuit. The zinger burger is okay but nothing special. The Fries looks good but it does not taste as good as five guys fries so I would suggest going to five guys than here. The gyro rice bowl is bland would not recommend. I would suggest getting gyro at Euro Crepes and pizzeria. It's way better there and their crepes are very good as well. The biscuit is good but Church's chicken biscuit is much better.
