M17. General Tso's Chicken Platter

Very friendly staff and always willing to accommodate for substitutions! I've been coming for over 8 years and the food is always fresh and portion sizes are great! We got the teriyaki chicken skewers and tried the Mr. China special platter from the revamped menu that comes with a California roll (you can also substitute for a veggie roll) This is an awesome addition to the menu and very delicious!

Not much going on here that is worth reporting on. The food at lunch is ordinary, and little effort is made to distinguish it from other lower end goopy sauced shops. While you can spend under $10 for their lunch specials, they are all variations of the same thing with only the base ingredient changing between, pork, beef, chicken or shrimp. Probably an adequate take out place, but not the place to bring friends or family for a good meal. The owners seem a nice couple, but they really need to take more pride in their products, rather than taking the cheapest way to put together a meal. 06/20/2018 - UPDATE: Tried the orange chicken lunch special. Hard shellac case surrounding morsel of dark meat. Even the sweet goop couldn't save it from being a poor effort. Time for a downgrade to 1 Star.

Mr China is your typical fast-food, fast delivery, takeout Chinese food. They offer all the basic food elements and menu items one would expect from a Chinese takeout location, The inside is still very reminiscent of childhood days, when going into a Chinese restaurant meant looking at the red booths and aged menus. But you don't really rate Chinese takeout on the looks of the interior restaurant, rather the food is good, it is decent and comforting. No real complaints, but they do not offer delivery which is disappointing.

I haven't been to Szechuan House in a couple of years since switching jobs, and I often find myself…read morethinking about how much I missed it. For this year's Chinese New Year, I decided to take the family there for our New Year dinner, and the food was just as good as I remembered. The place hasn't changed a bit, the decor still looks exactly how I remember it, which brought back memories. Since some of my family and friends don't enjoy the same spice level as I do, we adjusted the heat for dinner, and everything still came out fantastic. We ordered the whole steamed fish, happy fish, green beans, tea smoked duck, pork chop, beef pan fried noodles, and more. Every dish was delicious, and the flavors were spot on. The service was a bit tentative at times, but the quality of the food definitely made up for it. Overall, it was a wonderful meal and a great way to celebrate. I definitely need to come back more often.

It seems that both the pepper steak and chicken with broccoli were in the same sauce (& I've actually found that to be common in this area for some reason) but were tasty overall. The egg roll was quite greasy and the wonton soup was pretty solid with the broth being the star. Oh the white rice was cooked how I expect and wish all Chinese white rice is cooked so that's a plus. Overall a true 3.5 star rating but since halves aren't possible I had to go to 3 because it certainly wasn't a 4.

To clarify, this review is specifically for the Thali. The butter chicken was good, but the curry chicken was a bit bland. We would consider going back to try their other dishes, but probably not on a weekday during a lunch break. If you're coming from work and need to get back quickly, this may not be the best spot for a quick lunch.

In spite of good reviews and a second change in decor, that business was not able to survive very long. As I walked in to pick up my order I had mixed feelings. Sad about the fact that another very good and unique European restaurant was gone, and wondering about the future success of the new business. I noticed that the place had been painted and redecorated once again . This I guess could be called an Indian fusion house, offering many common dishes along with some I had not heard of. They also have Indo Chinese options. My first visit was so good that I thought I would return once more before reviewing. I tried the garlic naan and aloo paratha, both good to very good. The paratha was very thin and had a delicately spiced potato mixture inside, I wished there was more filling but enjoyed as it was. The chicken 65 tasted very good, but had too much sauce as I would have preferred the pieces of meat to be crispy. Chicken Radha was a rustic curry with about half of a bone in chicken. I loved this dish and the portion was 2 meals. Chicken biryani was equally tasty and came with very good raita. Chicken Manchow soup was new to me, think hot and sour soup and then add copious amounts of ginger and garlic. You have to like garlic to appreciate this soup, and I do and did! Service was friendly on both visits and orders were packed up very well, with additional onion, lime and peppers for the biryani and crispy noodles to top the soup with. A good friend went to dine in and had a great meal too, taking advantage of the all you can eat lunch Thali. I'm at about 4.5 stars for now....

I have lived 10 minutes walking distance from China Wok for the past decade. It was me and my husbands go-to for Chinese along with Le Dish until things went downhill after COVID and I had not been back since. I wanted egg drop soup and since it had been a bit decided to give them another shot and was pleasantly surprised to see on their website that they are under new ownership. I am so glad I did as China Wok has earned back its previous 5 star rating. Look at how much egg drop soup I got! This plus the crispy noodles (which were free) was only $4.95. Talk about a steal. And this is the best egg drop soup I have ever had and I order it every time I get Chinese -- its even better than Schezhauns House's which is saying something as I literally just had it this past Saturday. China Woks is more savory, the broth is thicker and more flavorful and theres more egg. I will most definitely be back to try their Chicken with Cashew Nuts, Sweet & Sour Chicken & Pork Fried Rice which are my Chinese delivery staples. I may also try their General Tsos, Sesame Chicken & Orange Chicken. Hats off to the new owners! Me & my husband are back to being China Wok regulars!
