This is by far the best pizza I've had in South Florida. As someone originally from Jersey, I can confidently say this is the closest thing to authentic Jersey pizza I've found. The cheese is perfect, and there's not too much sauce just a perfectly balanced, evenly baked pizza. The prices are also excellent for what you get, making it great value for the quality. Looking for a new go-to pizza spot with no frills, just good pizza. We saw a ton of comments on Nextdoor regarding Mr. D's and had to try it out. As soon as you walk in you are transported to a typical NY hole-in-the-wall. A straight-up menu sign detailing straight-up food...pizzas, pastas and subs! We ordered plain cheese slices (4 with 2 sodas) and paid just $10! It was also neat to see the witty banter between the pizza guys and the customers. I was referred to this restaurant by a coworker. She ordered delivery from there to the job. I tried their pepperoni pizza. It was two slices & a drink for 6 bucks (lunch special). The pizza is very unhealthy greasy (love greasy pizza) pizza but so good. I ate the pizza down to the crust. Its hard to find good pizza spots in the area but this place is very good. I have ordered from Mr.D's several times afterwards and they have been consistent with making there pizza just right. Whenever I call my food in it usually be ready quick for pick up. This place is very small and if you drive to fast you definitely will miss it. Its a small hidden gem. This is a very few chairs to sit down but its such a small place inside. There is not much parking in front of the restaurant. Sometimes it can be difficult to park during lunch hour when it be busy. They also sell subs there as well. My co workers usually order their subs and raves on how good it is. I can tell you that the subs looks very delicious and I plan on trying it one day when I can give up the pizza. I love pizza and their pizza is good so its hard to go there and not order pizza Each time I go inside I am greeted and assisted immediately. Everyone there is friendly, nice and make it welcoming inside. I like that they will take my card and there is no minimum purchase unlike the other smaller mom & pop restaurant. You come here for the pizza and the service! This small business has been here for as long as I can remember. The pizza is always top notch. It was a good Philly cheesesteak, could've had a little bit more meat to bread but overall the flavor was there. We also tried their chicken Parm, which was enough to feed 2 people. Mr D's is a local , 50 years same location pizzeria and sub shop. Delicious pasta dinners, Stromboli, calzones & so much more. The owner Mario one of the nicest , down to earth people. I grew up in a small town and this place gives the comforting small town vibe that is hard to come by in South Florida. The guys working there were super friendly and personable- the service alone made a great impression.
