BEWARE. Never take your car to this location. This is slam bam, thank you mam opperation. They are only interested in upselling unnecessay services and parts. I took my Jeep there for an oil change and to put on winter tires. They tried to upsell me on an unneeded air filter and an internal engine cleaning. Then they tried to get me to purchase new windshield wipers. The ones on the car were new. When it came to the winter tires, they said my nearly new winter tires that were already on rims showed excessive wear and needed to be replaced. Next the technician pointed out the surface rust on the rims and said they needed replacement as well. There was nothing wrong with the rims. Lastly, and the most notable scam was trying to sell me " winter lugnuts". At this point, I stopped the prosess and went to my dealership. I told them about my experience. The staff at Mr. Lube treated me like I was born yesterday, a complete rube or moron. NEVER GO TO THIS LOCATION. THEY WILL ATTEMPT TO SCAM YOU AS SURE AS THE SUN RISES. read more

Charged $190.96 to switch 4 off rim fires for a Honda Civic. Service took over 2 hours. Beware.

If I could give negative stars I would. I have bought a battery for my girlfriends car, ended up selling the car before installing the battery, so I took it back to return within 30 days and they do not accept returns. P.K. told me they have NO RETURN POLICY. I was told if I came back the next day they could have voided the transaction.. Tried calling head office, they don't even answer their phone.. I have told everybody I know to NEVER GIVE THIS FRANCHISE YOUR BUSINESS!! read more

I was just at this Mr Lube on Speers location in Oakville. I must say this was the worst and most horrific service ever. We've been to other mr lube locations and the services have been exceptional! The oil change took over 30 min and they were rude. He marked off on the checklist that the following checks were done and completed and nothing was done. Lights, door hinges ,wiper blades , filters tire pressure , window washing. I'm really so surprised. Never coming back to this location ever ! read more

Wouldn't even torque my tires, because I had changed them at my dealership. Being a club member you would think otherwise. Any other time at various locations I've experienced no issues. Just want to push you on services you dont need..flush this flush that! Deal with what the customer needs. And didn't accept my wife $10 off coupon because it wasn't given at immediate start..She asked 3 times to torque her tires, you say you did, not checked off on invoice, and you would have needed her nut lock in order to do work. Amazing how she HAD got her tires changed at this location. Lost 2 customers, lousy, and unprofessional. read more

My car is 10 months old and has 24,000KM on it... The upsells at this place are ridiculous... 1. Tries to convince me their oil is only good for 5K if i go with the basic package (which is 42.99) 2. Strongly suggests i change my cabin air filter (it looked completely clean) 3. Strongly recommended I have fuel system cleaning done and commented that I was "playing with fire" regarding my warranty when I said no. Upon leaving I didn't get a thank you, goodbye nothing. The guy appeared to be very pissed because I didn't agree to any of his nonsense upsells. Will never go back here again, what an unpleasant experience. read more

SERIOUSLY AVOID THIS PLACE! Verbally declined engine filter as the one I had was paper white and didn't need changing. Review of my bill showed they charged me for the filter anyway. Tried to get a refund and was abused on the phone and told that he was out of inventory so I should go around and find an off market filter and he would buy it back from me and pay me the difference... Customers must watch this location very carefully. My experience was not good. The oil change was fine and I was happy to pay a surcharge for original manufacturer's filters. However, they strongly try to up-sell additional services, and I believe fraudulently. He told me that my transmission fluid smelt burnt and needed replacing. When I told him that the car had been recently serviced by Toyota and they had never mentioned this, he carried on. A while later the next news was that the factory installed undercoat was coming off in pieces and that they had a "special" of $99 to spray the underside of the car. Again I declined. He then came to me with the transmission dipstick and showed me that the fluid was OK, as he wiped the oil on his hand to show me the colour was good. I recently took the car into a local garage to have the radiator flushed and refilled and I asked the owner to check the under seal and let me know if there was a problem, telling him what I had been told by Mr. Lube. When I picked the car up, he told me that there had been a small piece of factory silicone that had separated and he replaced it with a new smear. I leave the rest to readers. read more

I came here for a Drive Clean emissions test. So far, myself and another customer have been standing at the counter with no one helping us for 15 minutes. One guys is working in the garage (3 open bays), another one is looking for tires, and another keeps disappearing into a back room. Absolutely brutal. STAY AWAY FROM MR LUBE ON SPEERS RD IN OAKVILLE I brought my Audi here on 3 different random occassions purely as a time save and convenience, and trusting the service was "warranty approved" as they claim. I am terribly sorry I chose convenience over my regular Audi mechanic. On my last visit, the person changing my oil was having trouble getting with my oil drain plug, instead of consulting me, he and another gentlemen who came over to help forced the drain plug back in. While doing so, the plug was not seated correctly, they over tightened the plug, stripped the threads in the oil pan causing a slow oil leak. The leak was only discovered upon my next oil change at my regular mechanic a few months later. When I returned to Mr Lube to tell them what happened, they refused to take any responsibility stating my drain plug was already worn... This makes no sense given the fact that to drain the oil, the drain plug is opened and closed each time the oil is drained, the plug itself would obviously show wear over 5 years of ownership and changing oil... The drain plug having some wear has nothing to do with not seating the plug correctly and over tightening the plug to compensate for their sloppy work. If you like your car, please learn from my mistake and take it somewhere where they respect you, your vehicle and your loyal business. read more
