Service from waitress was new but put a professional effort in. I asked to see the manager after 70 min of waiting for our order as people came in after us and left before us. When I complained about the waiting time in a restaurant not even half full the manager got rude. I told her our table of 6 adults and 2 children should have left she quipped back you should have. It was a Birthday dinner and it was ruined by bad management and blatant ignorance. Payed a lot to be there and got treated with low key racism. I will never go back as our time there was ruined. Great food and great service. The Big Horn lager is one of the best beers I've had. Jenie was our server, and she was awesome. Amazing personality and really made the evening that much better. Mr Mikes is Mr Mikes. The menu is standard at all locations but it is good. In Peace River the staff was friendly and attentive. I don't want to say it is a shoe in but my guess is it is the best place in Peace to eat. I took a client and it was a nice place for a business dinner. I had a classic steak which was cooked perfect and my guest had a pasta that looked great! I have heard a few people say the craft beer is good there. I am not a fan of the wine, not a huge fan. In general it is decent for a house wine. But like I said Mikes is Mikes it is as good as any Mikes! read more

Sometimes I really wish there was a .5 of a star rating on yelp because this is one of those times where a 3/5 seems a little to low but 4 is kind of pushing it. My overall rating would be a 3.5/5. Anyways we visited Mr. Mikes during my annual visit up to Peace River this year. Mr. Mikes only opened this year and the renovations they did to the old moon saloon are fabulous. You would never be able to tell that it used to be a gross bar. When we first walked into Mr. Mikes it felt kind of surreal since there has never been a restaurant like Mr.Mikes in Peace River and it essentially feels like you've gone too the city for dinner. The interior is quite large and there is a restaurant side for all ages and then a lounge side. We went on a Thursday night, after 8pm, and enjoyed their 50% off promo for the quick bites. This is actually a great deal, as the selection of appetizers is fairly large and they also have some entrées available for 50% off. We shared a few appetizers (French onion soup, panko shrimp, a Caesar salad and mushroom caps) and ordered 2 steak sandwiches to share between 4 people. I would have to say that everything except the mushroom caps was pretty good. The mushroom caps looked warmed and broiled on top but the inside was fairly cold. Also seeing as it was after 8, the restaurant wasn't crazy busy but our waitress was kind oh slacking and service wasn't spectacular. The waitress became more attentive towards the end of the meal but it would have been nice to be consistent. My other irk and part of the lower rating is that despite saying we wanted the appetizers first, everything came out together so we didn't get to leisurely enjoy the meal and experience. Overall though, I'd say Mr. Mikes definitely adds to dining experience in Peace River and offers a nice change. read more

Mr Mike's in Peace River did a great job of satiating my hunger after a long day of work. A favourite of mine (now) when I'm in town for work. Staff are friendly and very helpful. The first time I visited I went with the Mr Mike burger, patty was tasty and not too greasy, salad on the side was crisp and fresh. My second visit I went with the shrimp tacos - delicious if a little messy (but who doesn't want messy tacos?). They usually have a drink on special and the bar is good for watching a game. read more

We usually have a good experience and good food when we come for dinner. The waitress we had we had before. She was terrible. We have tried to deal with her before. Food was OK, when it finally arrived. We watched as others got excellent service with food and drinks walking by us. Would recommend checking who your waitress is, and walk out if you are stuck with her. I don't believe in paying/rewarding bad service. read more
