I signed up for Mr. Mow it All's snow removal service for two properties across the street from each other, specifically for elderly family members who can't handle shoveling themselves. We agreed to pay $500 per month--a significant expense--expecting reliable, professional service as advertised. Unfortunately, this has been one of the worst service experiences I've ever had. Every single time it has snowed this season, we've run into major problems: Complete failure to show up on multiple storm events, leaving driveways, walkways, and entrances completely buried and inaccessible. When they do finally arrive (usually only after repeated calls and emails), the snow removal is half-hearted at best. They clear a narrow path--just enough to barely walk through--and leave the vast majority of the snow untouched, including on steps, porches, and parking areas. This falls far short of the "full driveway and walkway clearing" they promise in their marketing. We have to constantly chase them with phone calls and emails just to get the bare minimum service we're paying a premium for. Their customer service team responds quickly and sounds apologetic, but they always shift the blame to the "operations team" and offer excuses rather than solutions. Worse still, we've had incidents where their workers attempted to take homeowners' shovels from the property without permission, and in at least one case, caused visible damage to onsite landscaping and property edges during plowing or shoveling. For elderly residents who rely on this service for safety and mobility, this has been a true nightmare--dangerous, unreliable, and unprofessional. We've wasted hundreds of dollars on a company that can't deliver. I strongly do not recommend Mr. Mow it All to anyone. Save your money and look elsewhere for snow removal--you'll likely get better results doing it yourself or hiring a more dependable local service. Zero stars if I could. read more

Incompetent. Haven't shown up to remove snow after a heavy snowfall. They don't answer their phones and direct you to their email service. Their email service takes days to respond and when they do they send you pictures of some other site; not yours. It is critically important that snow removal companies complete their contractual obligations just for basic health and safety purposes. I don't expect miracles after a major storm, but I do expect at least a little bit of service; not to be "ghosted" by a bunch of incompetents. Maybe they should stick to landscaping only. read more

Quite possibly the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I tried contacting them to give my credit information so they could start a job for me. First the "online payment portal" was down, so they said I'd have to call and provide details over the phone. So I tried to call. Each time I called I received an automated response stating "the office is currently closed, our office hours are between 830AM and 530PM monday to friday. I was calling them at 930AM on a Tuesday. I received an email asking me to call another number. I called that number and it immediately went to voicemail. it's as if they literally do not want business. This is our second satisfying contract with Mr. Mowitall. The landscaping is everything that I requested. Despite the fact that they were working in the rain, their sunny dispositions were there each time I approached with a question. Balwinder, Jashan and Arsh were extremely polite and knowledgeable, working around small issues and coming up with very good ideas. I appreciate good results ... and they gave good results. Don't Trust the Satisfaction Guarantee They Advertise! We hired Mr. Mow It All in August 2022 to install Pea Gravel in our small, East York back yard in order to make the space more attractive and easier to care for. As requested, I sent the company photos of the existing yard, explaining by email that I wanted the area of dirt (formerly lawn) covered with gravel. I also sent helpful photos of my neighbour's yard for reference, as they had essentially done the same thing to their space. I heard back from James B., a customer sales representative who asked if I was available to meet him to discuss the job. As I was in another city at the time, I offered to reschedule the suggested meeting time or have someone else meet him in my place. He declined the suggestion, but visited the job site and sent me an estimate which included levelling and removing topsoil, installing landscaping fabric and supplying/installing the pea gravel. I accepted. After being rescheduled twice, the job was completed in mid-September. I was not contacted during the installation or afterward to ensure satisfaction (e.g., sending a photograph). When I returned and saw the work--which itself was adequate and tidy--a large (2-3ft) strip on dirt was left uncovered beside my garage. When I contacted James B., the sales agent, he explained that he was "under the impression" that there was to be a strip left to install a garden. I absolutely hadn't given any such direction; I was disappointed that the job was incomplete. Being polite, I suggested that there had been a misunderstanding and asked what the company could do complete the job. Their offer? A quote of almost $400 to install a yard of mulch to cover the strip! There was many emails back and forth, and when I mentioned the company's 100% satisfaction guarantee, I was told it didn't apply to me. I have read similar statements in other reviews here. The company's position simply doesn't make sense. I had already laid down some mulch beside my garage in order to abut the gravel I was expecting there. Also, if I had wanted a "garden strip" beside my garage I would have asked them to install some rockery to mark off that area as a garden. That's not what I asked for. For the company to have made a mistake like this, and not simply rectified it, is mind-boggling. Instead, they tried to say I "changed the scope of work" after the fact, and sent demeaning emails. I live next door to people who use Mr Mow it all. Once a week between 9-10 a.m. I'm shocked by what sounds like a jet taking off for about 30 minutes- it's their guy with ear muffs using his leaf blower. Very disturbing- inconsiderate. All the neighbors feel the same. A few things about this: this type of equipment is for a farm or where you've got acres- not in a city on tiny grass plots. Raking the old-fashioned way- with a rake- is faster, that's my experience- and better for the worker, the neighbors and the company. Better for everyone! Less expense for the company, less air pollution, less noise pollution, exercise for the worker, more pleasant work for the employee, better relations with neighbors, better in every way. Yes, one or two leaves get left behind by raking. It's not the end of the world. I think we can all live with that. read more

Was not happy with this company regarding snow removal. Promptness was definitely not their strong suit and a 12 hour service was not met for 24 hours, despite reassurances by email. When they did come the job was left untidy and upon speaking with other companies it was the consensus that the job was done hurriedly and without regard to completeness. When addressed with the company was told that the job was up to their standards. Very disappointing experience. One star at best. Feeling taken advantage of as a senior. read more

if i could give no stars i would: during the summer they decapitated my sewer inspection that was flush to the ground. i called and asked why their crew did not come to the house and own it. customer service said that the crew had reported this: sure they did! why did have to phone in to get told this? next[today]: they showed up to clear our leaves: during the course of this they blew a pile under a door and into the kitchen: when i asked their numpty to clean it up he said: how? these are just blowers and proceeded on his way. called to complain: w pic and was told: because of covid the crews cannot enter a house. so that means i guess any damage they do is on you the customer. jeebus read more

Also, beware of their contract, which pretty much covers the company for any contingency while leaving clients with few options to keep them accountable. The company's 100% no risk guarantee and promise of a free "re-do" makes no sense with snow removal. read more

Used this company for a lawn improvement project two years ago. Did an amazing job. Five stars. Requested a quote for winter snow removal. Called three times with a quote forthcoming each time. Never received a quote or a return call. I guess they don't need my business. Disappointing. One star. read more

Pretty good service. They come every 2 weeks and do a good job of cutting the lawn and everything.

This is the second season with their service. Last year all went well. However, when we had some work done for spring clean-up and putting some mulch few weeks ago, there were a lot of confusion - crews did not put the right colour of mulch, no fabric was put in until we mentioned it, and the price was much higher than the original quote. I am still waiting for them to resolve the issue. Good thing is they seem they are trying to do something. Will see how it turns out. read more

Mr MowItAll installed new sod on my front lawn. Looks good. They also do lawn service, not so great. The backyard cutting was a little sloppy and grass wasn't raked. I'll buy a new lawnmower and do it myself. read more
