My travel agency paid a little over 4k for the 12 nights that they charged us $1,100. a night for So you can imagine the disparity!! Goway travel agency is corrupt! We were able to find a hotel room for 3 nights but after Saturday we will be on the streets unless they solve this problem they created!! I hired a travel agency to make a trip of a lifetime run smoothly and they screwed it up from the minute we landed in Paris. The vehicle that arrived to take us to our hotel was not large enough to carry our luggage let alone carry 3 people we had to arrange for a second vehicle. Please do not, DO NOT, use this travel agency!! Again, we are stranded because everything is booked.

Vacation Planning + Review…read more EDA Travel Ltd is a nice little agency that is tucked away into a tiny shopping plaza. It is by far one of the smallest places you'll find with almost no way to recognize it as it does not stick out from it's surrounding stores at all! They barely have any advertising or signage outside and they definitely don't have any colorful displays of anything that will draw your attention to them, but that being said, it is everything on the inside that counts; from a travel agency stand point, that is referring to their staff. Our family has been planning a vacation to Japan in Asia and a friend in Richmond recommended someone by the name of Elsa to us that works at EDA. She is a wonderful person with a definite heart that is willing to work out anything and everything for your traveling needs. She helped us organize all our travel plans from flight, taxi, tours, and hotels without a single bit of pressure. She even continued to help us shop for deals AFTER hotels have already been booked. So even after reserving hotels, she would send us information for a cheaper and better hotels around the same area, then proceed to help us do all the paper work. Our trip isn't due till mid-May, but judging from the attention to detail, friendly staff, and no pressure attitude, this trip is already looking pretty great! If you're looking for a Chinese travel agency and around the Richmond area, give this place a shot, or maybe just walk in and ask for information so you can judge their service yourself. You should be relatively pleased.

Very helpful staff, good service and great communication, price is good . Highly recommend.read more

This review is on behalf of my father's vacation experience. After listening to him recount his…read moreexperience with Charming Holidays, I felt compelled to write this review to share his with potential consumers. He and two friends joined the Rocky Mountain 4-day tour early in July. The itinerary was great. The views were captivating (as expected of beautiful BC). Accommodations were also fine. Things go downhill from here, though. Throughout the trip, the coach's air conditioning did not work. Additionally, the tour guide's unwillingness to help/poor problem solving and bad attitude made this trip almost torturous. Starting from Day One, the bus's air conditioning did not function. Over the next few days, the coach was changed twice more, but the air conditioning still did not work. This is during BC's peak summer weather, where the coach's interior was as hot as a sauna. I can only imagine it to be suffocating. Worst of all, the tour guide was not sympathetic to their situation. The most he did was pick up the phone to call head office to change coach buses. When the subsequent coach buses continued to malfunction, and the other passengers began to inquire, the tour guide was defensive and would argue that he already called head office and did his best. In addition to his bad attitude, the tour guide had poor language skills. The tour promises a trilingual tour guide to cater to their Mandarin, Cantonese and English-speaking customers. Aside from being fluent in Cantonese, his Mandarin and English was near incomprehensible. He did not know proper word usage. Worst of all, he was mistranslating information that he spoke in Cantonese, to other non-Cantonese speaking passengers! This is unfair to the other passengers who paid into this tour expecting a fluent tour guide. There was also no music or movies played on the coach over the duration of the trip. When passengers inquired, the tour guide would simply say that the driver didn't like noise and music would make him fall asleep and would be a hazard. This is a poor excuse! When the passengers expressed their dismay over this (and many other issues with the tour guide that I won't go into detail here), the tour guide was unapologetic. After all this, the tour guide demanded a tip, and said that it is stated in the contract that a tip is mandatory. Of course the passengers would comply, but how is it fair that the customer comply when the service provider did not deliver on their terms? I.e., the itinerary promised a "deluxe air-conditioned coach", but there was no air conditioning, nor was it a "deluxe" experience; poor customer service, poor language skills etc. Overall, the trip's downfall was partly the coach malfunction but mostly the tour guide's attitude. Charming Holidays should really consider who they bring onto their team, as this tour guide is quickly tarnishing any positive reputation that Charming Holiday has. The tour guide had zero empathy for the passengers, poor language skills and knowledge of the attractions, was defensive, had a bad attitude, and made it clear that he didn't care about Charming's customers by arguing with them. It is hard to believe that someone with 10+ years experience (the tour guide proclaimed), that he would treat his tour passengers this poorly. Passengers would have been more forgiving and easy going about the hiccups throughout the trip if the tour guide had been more friendly and more helpful. Overall, 1 out of 5 stars, for the itinerary and scenery, no thanks to the customer service.

We paid $206 plus tax for 8 meals, that is $25 per meal, but what we got was like a $5 breakfast and all the other meals worth less than $25. 2. I didn't know tours here included shopping trips. The last day of the tour is totally just for shopping and added many hours of driving. The 4 days tour only have 1.5 days of spending at the national parks. We stopped at 3 shopping places during the tour. 3. Due to they couldn't book a hotel on the way for the last night, they drove us to a hotel that is 1.5hr more each way. So we had to spend 3 hrs. more on the bus. 4. They have very bad cancellation policies. Other than hotel, their meal and tickets to park is also non-refundable. When I talked to them, they said everything is pre-booked and pre-paid. Which is so not true, because they changed hotel for us at the last minute and included where we have dinner that night. It was totally not pre-booked and pre-paid. I saw the tour guide paying for each meal. I think the tour company just pocket the meal money they charged us when 4 of our family members cancelled the tour due to emergence. 5. We were force to pay tips $10 each day, even on the day that they only took us to shopping. I would much rather they let us spend one more day at Lake Louis, or drive us back to Vancouver one day early. But the thing is even we don't like where they are taking us, we had to pay them. 6. The driver smoke inside the bus while he waited for us. So when we back on the bus, it smells so bad and I have a 6yrs. old that force to smell smoke. I complained to the tour guide, but nothing changed, it happened for the 4th and 5th time. And we had to pay them tips no matter what.
