Okay, that probably had something to do with it being rather quiet, but I have to admit that I love wandering into these pubs where you end up just spending your time chatting away with the guy behind the counter, especially if you happen to be a stranger. Yeah, despite the limited beers, this place was amazing.

I've been to this pub previously, but I decided to come back to it, namely because I wasn't take…read morephotos of it the last time I was there (and it was also pretty dark as well). It's actually a rather nice pub that happens to sit atop the cliffs that run along the right bank of the Murray, which means that you get some magnificent views over the country. Mind you, it was rather packed when I was here, but that was probably because it was Easter and everybody was out and about. Oh, they make a pretty awesome schnitzel, and they even have a nice beer on tap as well. Sure, it is out in the country, but it is well worth a visit.

This place stood out, not just because of the great views of the river, but because I ended up watching my football team win as well. Sure enough, another patron was present who was also pretty ecstatic about the whole thing. Anyway, I won't say it is a particularly great pub, but it certainly is a nice place to stop off at for a beer, especially with the magnificent views of the river. The service wasn't too bad either.

Plenty of parking and friendly service. The food portions are large and fresh - it's a great place to sit with friends and while the afternoon away after a good hearty pub lunch. Recommended

Okay, it did seem to be popular, at least where a small town is concerned, but it didn't really stand out in the way that other pubs have. I guess it may had something to do with the service, which wasn't particularly bad mind you. However, in a way I guess compared to other pubs that I had visited, this one really didn't shine in the way that the other ones did. Look, it was okay, but not particularly great.

This is not all that surprising since the town that it used to support has pretty much disappeared. Look, don't expect all that much from this place, and they don't have beers on tap, however the service is pretty good, namely because like a lot of these country pubs the bartender will simply sit there merrily chatting away with you. Yeah, it was nice, and apparently it does go off on a Friday night.
